Work-in-progress! This painting – “Red Mask” is for an upcoming group show at the Eight And Sand Gallery in Seattle, WA – the theme of the show is “Red”, and I’m just now working on the bright RED facepaint mask of this lovely girl. Still got several hours of work to do on this one, but she is coming along nicely. The “Red” show will run from February 8-March 9 at Eight and Sand Gallery in Georgetown, Seattle. If you are interested in the original painting, contact the curator Alex at eightandsand@gmail.com – let her know you are interested in being on contact list for “Red Mask” by Jasmine Becket-Griffith. This original painting is acrylics on an 8×10 oval, will be in a silver frame and will be priced at $2200. While I won’t be able to attend the show opening in person unfortunately, I will however be coming to Seattle on February 21-23 for FaerieCon West, so if you are in the area definitely check out both events!

"Stilleven V:  Roemer" - the fifth in a series of works I have planned that feature "deconstructed" elements of still lifes inspired by the Dutch master painters of the 1500-1600s, along with faeries & nymphs (of course!).  A "Roemer" refers to the wineglasses with the raspberry shaped prunts on the stems that are often featured prominently in Dutch paintings. Work-in-progress! The fifth painting in my series called “Stilleven” (Dutch word for “Still Life”) – a series of works I have planned that feature “deconstructed” elements of still lifes inspired by the Dutch master painters of the 1500-1600s, along with faeries & nymphs (of course!) If you are interested in reserving the original painting, email me at JasmineToad@aol.com and inquiries will be indexed according to the order of response. Still lots of work to do on this one – fruit, flowers etc…. Price will probably be in the $3500-$3900 range depending on how long she takes to finish, she measures 11×14 and will be in a glossy black ornate resin frame. I will also have prints, posters & canvas prints at strangeling.com soon.
