Archie Wilson (born 1947) is a British playwright, author, poet, actor, and director whose creative life has spanned several decades and crossed multiple artistic disciplines. Although he is continually amused by the fact that he wakes up each morning “still in the land of the living,” Archie remains driven by a lifelong curiosity for storytelling and the power of performance. Interestingly, he didn’t begin writing until his forties, a turning point that proved, as he often jokes, that there is always hope for anyone who dreams of putting pen to paper.

His experience extends far beyond writing alone; Archie has spent years acting, directing, and stage-managing interactive productions, including professional work with Murder 57, one of the UK’s leading companies in immersive murder mystery entertainment. His knowledge of performance and character work deeply informs his writing, giving each story a sense of timing, personality, and theatrical flair.

Alongside his theatrical output, Archie has published several books, including Ten Peculiar Tales, How to Write a Pantomime, and most recently the children’s fantasy adventure Five Kids and a King. Whether crafting whimsical stories for young readers or shaping complex interactive mysteries for the stage, he approaches each project with a blend of experience, wit, and creative joy.
