The Next Big Thing Interview by Linze Blogspot
Linze Brandon Blogspot
http://www.linzebrandon.blogspot.com/p/about-linze.html
Ten Interview Questions for The Next Big Thing:
What is the working title of your book?
Hot & Forbidden is about two of the cousins falling in love.
The forbidden is always enticing. How do Nicolas and Daniella
deal with their forbidden love? Why is their love forbidden?
How can they overcome the obstacles without losing their love?
La familia has a secret. Can this be the key that will set their love free?
Where did the idea come from for the book?
It is part of my De La Cruz series. It’s the second book in the series. It all began
with a dream. I dreamed my story over and over again. I decided to write this
novel after several weeks of dreaming about all of these characters.
I started brainstorming and organizing it into outlines. I developed
each character’s personalities, interests, and personal love story.
What genre does your book fall under?
Romance thriller
Which actors would you choose to play your characters in a movie rendition?
OMG, this every author’s dream, lol.
Jose Enrique De La Cruz - Eduardo Verastegui
Nicolas De La Cruz - William Levy
Ricardo De La Cruz - Chris Hemsworth
Alejandro Andres De la Cruz - Francis Cura
Christian Arturo De La Cruz – Gabriel Soto
Sebastian Antonio De La Cruz – Aaron Diaz
Francisco Javier De La Cruz – Chris Evans
What is the one-sentence synopsis of your book?
The bachelor fights the deadly Mexican cartel encountering
tantalizing ecstasy, action, danger and suspense.
Will your book be self-published or represented by an agency?
My books will be self-published.
How long did it take you to write the first draft of your manuscript?
My first draft of my manuscript took one year. I also was compelled to
write the cousins story since their stories interlocked. Hot & Spicy is
the first book of a twelve book series. The other eleven books were also
written concurrently and are three quarters completed. Well the
second book Hot & Forbidden is complete and I’m working on the third
book, Hot & Enchanting.
What other books would you compare this story to within your genre?
I would compare my books to the Lora Leigh cousin series.
Who or What inspired you to write this book?
To be honest I dreamed this story over and over for several
weeks until I realized it was a story and characters living in
my dreams. I bought my laptop and started to write.
What else about your book might pique the reader’s interest?
The first novel is Hot & Spicy. This novel is about Jose Enrique De La Cruz.
He is the eldest of the thirteen cousins. The saga takes place in California.
Each novel is about one of cousin’s unique love story. The Mexican traditions
are strong in the De La Cruz family and the cousins struggle to honor their customs.
The De La Cruz family encounters conflict and threats from the Mexican cartel.
The cousins fight to stay true to their integrity and beliefs in their
struggle with the Mexican cartel. The family is assisted by the Navy Seals, FBI,
and other government agencies. They must overcome heartaches and
obstacles before achieving their happy ending. These novels are written in Spanglish
(very, very light Spanglish). The glossary is located in the back of the book.
I believe it is an enjoyable and easy method to learn a few basic Spanish words.

Silk By C. I. Macias
Today we have the new hot erotic author, C.I. Macias visiting us. She has a new debut book, Silk.
Hi Claudia, It’s a great pleasure to have you here. Tell us a little bit about yourself.
My name is Claudia and I was born and raised in California. I am the youngest of 3. I live in Elk Grove, California with my dotting husband and children. My family means the world to me. On my free times, I enjoy hanging out with my family and friends. I do have a job and write when I get home and on the weekends. I try not to neglect my family too much. They have been very patient and supportive of me.
How did you decided to enter the world of writing?
My sister! She nudged me to enter an anthology contest, so I did. The genre was regarding “bondage”. So I thought, great! I get to write about sex and use my imagination.
What does your family think of your writing?
I have asked them about that before and they said that it is “catchy writing”. I also asked if they felt weird that I am writing this type of genre and they say “why would it be weird?” It brought tears to my eyes to feel such a huge support system in my family.
Where do you get your ideas?
Oh dear! My imagination is a wonderful portal of naughtiness.
Can you tell us a little about your book?
Silk is about two best friends Sammie and Jade. Sammie falls into the pleasures of erotic bondage and falls hard for Aiden. Aiden’s brother Jackson introduces Jade to harsher sexual pleasures of bondage, leaving her yearning for more. Jackson entangles them all in deception and trickery.
What is your writing process?
Honestly, I don’t really have one. I don’t brain cluster or anything. Basically I get an idea and when I start typing, it all just flows out. I can see the scene in my head and I try to capture them in the moment and then hope that I transfer it on paper. It is intense. I get in a zone.
What was the hardest part for you when working on your book?
The hardest part was trying to keep it a secret from my husband. I didn’t know how he would react with me writing an erotic book. Then I was so excited in writing it and seeing it unfold to a published book, that I ruined my own surprise. I blurted it out when he walked in the door from work. He said “Awesome. My wife is secretly a dirty bird. Nice”. Yup! Not a secret anymore.
What influenced or inspired you to write?
My husband and my sister inspired me to write. My husband for years told me that I should write a book, but I never really thought much about it. He used to read my short story’s that I had to write in school and loved them. My sister topped it off. She inspired me with her own work and I gave it a go. Now I love writing. I am hooked.
Was there a scene that you didn’t add or you removed in your finished work?
There is a scene in where Sammie goes to deliver documents at some house and ends up being Aiden’s home. Sammie thought that Aiden’s and her sexual encounter at the Bar & Grill was left there. To her surprise, after entering the home, she follows the voice coming from the study asking her to enter. To her surprise it is Aiden. I had deleted a huge monologue between them two. I thought that perhaps it would be hotter if they cut the chit chat and went straight to getting to know each other better.
Do you have a favorite character (from you’re book)? Why?
I love all my characters. They are all so naughty in their own way.
Do you already know what to write next? Can you tell us?
Yes, it is called Jade. After her encounter with Jackson, a spark was left in Jade and her curiosity is taking the best of her. She yearns for more sexual pleasures in bondage and she goes out and searches for it. She briefly touches on her Dominatrix side, but realizes that she would rather be a submissive and receive the pleasures. Then the next book after that is called Bonded. I am also writing Stranger, a suspense thriller. I am really excited on how that one is unfolding.

Life is too short to worry about what people will think of you. Write what you want and what makes you feel happy. Be bold, honest, and own it. Your imagination has no boundaries.

Roll Call by Author Glenn Langohr
Tell us a little bit about yourself?
On one hand I’m strong with will power, shredded from training my body all the time, and able to see things through, like writing another book. On the other hand I’m hyper sensitive. and easily distracted. I love to dance, go to the beach and church.
How did you decided to enter the world of writing?
My research into the drug war went a little too far. In prison fighting trumped up organized crime charges, I had to make my time matter. Writing helped me make sense out of a broken childhood that led to drug dealing, which led to prison.
I can see that writing is a form of therapy for you. I believe that a lot of authors use writing as a form of therapy. I know it works for me, lol.
What does your family think of your writing?
They love it. I’m not getting in trouble any more.
Where do you get your ideas?
Life. Our culture. Writing in the crime genre is right up my alley after I lived in it so deeply for so long. I have so much material in my head that it’s still screaming to get out.
Can you tell us a little about your book?
Roll Call, my first novel, is a drug war novel. I use a good Detective squeezed out of the loop by an overzealous Narcotic Detective, a handful of drug criminals trying to find their conscience and a prison union bent on calling bad shots. In my Prison Killers series with Race Riot, Lock Up Diaries, Gladiator and Underdog, I focus on prison scenes that take you inside the politics, race relations and the rest of the culture.
These stories sound interesting and amazing. I know I will read them as soon as I have some time, lol.
What is your writing process?
When I start writing a new book I have to block everything else out. Then, slowly at first, I get into that zone where my absolute concentration is honed in on the story. Once I get into a flow that becomes a fire, I pace back and forth in between writing sessions. The pacing ignites more creativity. My writing sessions get closer and closer together, until even in my limited sleep I’m dreaming about the script, and seeking the magic.
Oh yeah Glenn, I can relate to that.
What was the hardest part for you when working on your book?
To stop marketing the other ones and start another! Once I have a new book underway, and I can see, feel and live in the scene, through the character’s eyes, I’m good. From there I like to toggle the angle into another character’s eyes to flesh out another thought process and a different set of motivations. Probably the hardest part of all is deciding when it’s as good as I can make it.
What influenced or inspired you to write?
I’m heavily influenced by God and the Bible. There are so many perfect stories with imperfect characters and the good over evil theme I crave. Other incredible authors and movies have influenced me as well. Most of all though, life influences me to try to make a difference through my stories.
Was there a scene that you didn’t add or you removed in your finished work?
I removed a few sex scenes that were way to graphic from my first novel.
Do you have a favorite character (from your own book)? Why?
I get to play the best role in all of my books. With that said, my favorite character is my enemy, Detective Pincher! My novel Roll Call is a drug war novel that begs the question, who are the real criminals. In the sequel, Upon Release I was able to show how Detective Pincher, being overzealous and willing to do whatever it took to bust people, was just as criminal as the rest.
Do you already know what to write next? Can you tell us?
Some of my closest advisors who hold a lot of weight in the publishing world have told me to focus on the prison stuff and I’ve knocked out 4 straight books of pure prison pulp of true life. The next one is going to start with a mother writing to her son in prison. Her husband is going to be right over here shoulder telling her to give up on him and that prison is what he needs to stop using drugs. The scene will shift to take in the building inside the prison to get a bird’s eye view of the racial politics and what the kid will be facing. I’m still finding ways to show through my writing that prisons are breeding bigger criminals who are displaced from society when they get released.
This book sounds interesting. I hope that you can transmit your ideas and concerns into your story.
Where can we find more information about you and your books?
To get directly to a complete list of my books on Amazon in the U.S. http://www.amazon.com/-/e/B00571NY5A For the U.K. http://www.amazon.co.uk/-/e/B00571NY5A My blog site is http://www.lockdownpublishing.comMy Facebook for friends is http://www.facebook.com/glennlangohrcalifornia My fan page is http://www.facebook.com/KindlePrisonStories?ref=hl My goodreads is http://www.goodreads.com/lockdownpublishing

An Amazing Exciting Adventure
Nolichuck, TJ’s Wild Frontier Adventure by Jackson Keene is an amazing exciting adventure of a young man named Thomas James Cockrell, called TJ.
TJ is in high school and living the hardest time of his life. He’s in that awkward teenage years, lacks self-confidence, and has no interest in school. His only passion at the moment is drama class and plays.
He has the typical issues at school of being harassed and bullied by the bigger and more popular kids. His misery is compounded by his parents’ divorce, and his beloved sister, Natalie moving away to another city with his mother. TJ feels lost.
The adventure and life changing experience transpires when TJ discovers a green mystical book in his father’s desk. His father’s desk drawers are usually locked up, but on that special day, the drawer was unlocked. TJ’s curiosity won and he opens the drawer to look inside.
This is a very entertaining, exciting and enlightening story of the rite of passage of a young man. The amazing learning experiences and maturity gained by TJ in his adventure. This is a great book for young adults. A good read.
We had the pleasure of also having an interview from author Jackson Keene.
Jackson can you tell us when and why did you start writing?
I’ve had the “itch” to write for 20 years. I finally woke up one day and realized that I’d be an old man if I didn’t start soon! I wrote plays and short stories as a kid, and have had several ideas for novels over the years, but never jump-started my writing in a serious fashion until NOLICHUCK came along.
What inspired you to write Nolichuck?
NOLICHUCK was a combination of many things stewing around inside. I was born and lived in Tennessee as a kid, and knew some of its history. Like TJ, the main character of our story, I had to constantly fight off bullies in school. I always loved history, but wanted to write about periods of history that are less written and less celebrated than the great events — a look at common people living everyday lives, so to speak. Davy Crockett was a childhood hero, and I wondered what it was like for him as a teenager. Of course, I originally planned to be a history professor, so naturally one of my characters HAD to be that. I was never the star athlete in high school, so I emphasize with TJ’s disappointments in sports. Above all, I wanted a story that would deal realistically with the hard life issues that far too many young adults face today: Bullying, divorced families, struggling with grades, not making the “team”, not part of the most popular cliques, mean teachers, boredom, unhappiness, few close friends, lack of meaningful communication with either parent, etc.
What is the hardest part of writing Nolichuck?
For me, developing strong characters and creating believable dialogue was the hardest part. Coming up with an imaginative plot with subplots is fairly easy, but fleshing it out with people and interaction that really captures the reader’s attention is what it’s all about.
Where is your favorite place to write?
In our den with its fireplace, the comfy couch (where I can catnap now and then), and my personal office set up is where I can fully concentrate on thinking and writing. Although, truth be told, some of my best ideas and plot revisions come to me just as I’m drifting off to sleep at night. I keep a notepad and pen next to the bed to capture “brainstorms” when they come.
Can you share a little of your current work with us?
The next book in the YA series is: Reds! TJ’s Wacky War Adventure.
Thank you for your visit and your interview. It’s a pleasure to learn about your writing habits and skills. I know that your readers will enjoy to learn that your next book is in progress. Warm wishes.

A Glimpse of Heaven by Dr. Glen Hepker
Today I have the pleasure of interviewing awesome Dr. Hepker, author of A Glimpse Of Heaven. He has an amazing philosophy for your health and wellbeing. I think that we all can benefit, I know I can use some tips, lol.
Dr. Hepker I’m thrilled to have you visiting my blog. Would you please tell us a little bit about yourself, how you decided to enter the world of writing, what does your family think of your writing, and where do you get your ideas, etc.
During all of my adult life, I have always planned on writing this and at least two other books which complement, e.g., Volume I, II, and III. I had always hoped that in my 50′s, I would be mature enough to do a good job in writing it, though most of my life, I have outlined the books. My wife has been wonderfully supportive all throughout, even now, with regard to my marketing responsibilities. Humbly and respectfully, I am quite fortunate on many fronts. With regard to where I got the ideas for the book, I have doctorate degrees in psychology and health/wellness arts, and a part-time individual and marital counselor, a wellness coach, and a master instructor of tai chi chuan, chi kung, kung fu, and associated health/wellness arts (i.e., which are inclusive of the vast ages-old health/wellness Bright Beautiful School of Though/Ming Chia intrinsic to the empathetic and benevolent health and wellness philosophy found in his writing) at Mason City Wellness Center LLC/Mason City Tai Chi~Chi Kung~Kung Fu LLC, Mason City, IA.
Dr. Glen, you have impressive qualifications and background. Can you tell us a little about your book?
Based on the age-old Bright Beautiful School of Thought, my writing explains how the quality of our lives will be greatly enhanced once we learn to raise ourselves up by taking True Responsibility for our own health and wellbeing. It guides readers through the tenets of the Bright School theory and assists the reader in realizing this level of True Health. Most especially, this health and wellness philosophy is distinguished by its remarkable, thought-provoking, and ingenious notion of coalescing ethics and morality and deeply-rooted insight/objectivity skills with conceptions of health and wellness, i.e., True Health and/or True Health through True Responsibility. It sets forth that one cannot realize True Health without the necessary and truly skilled attributes of deep insight, morality, clear objectivity – learning the True Skill of being able to look within and without (into one’s internal and external environments), without fear, without preset patterns of thinking. It sets forth the importance of True Honesty – gathering a level of objective insight that introduces one to the notion of not needing anything to hide behind. Such healthful clarity is a significant aspect of what he describes as ‘glimpses of heaven’…loving bioelectric spine-tingling (chi) feelings/realizations (and nurturing the True Skill of doing so AT WILL). It sets forth the notion that one of the greatest gifts of all is that there is always room for improvement, versus the living death of stagnant plateaus – “life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.”
What is your writing process?
I have taught these arts for decades, so it is not difficult to put the information down. I had a basic outline of the book, chapter by chapter, both written down, and in my mind. The philosophy beautifully connect dots by its very nature. I simply began writing accordingly.
What was the hardest part for you working on your book?
Aside from my duties in writing and marketing it, I already work about 40 hours per week. Additionally, I am already fortunate to be a quite happy fellow, so overall, the most difficult thing is to set forth the time to do these things.
What influenced or inspired you to write?
I enjoy substantive faith in the beauty and meaningfulness of its philosophy…and, humbly and respectfully, I believe that setting it forth in this book is my attempt at making the world a better place.
Was there a scene that you didn’t add or remove in your finished work?
No,can’t think of any.
Do you already know what to do next?
Yes, Volume II, will be A Glimpse of Heaven: Volume II – Conversations on the Philosophy of True Health. It will be more contextual, vs. the initial book being more purely philosophical – which set forth the foundation of the Bright School theory.
Where can we find more about you and your books?
Online with Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Goodreads, Wattpad, Pinterest, the book’s blog, the book’s website, on Amazon, and many other book-related sites.

It is also lovingly passive in its tone (voice and pretense). It is not self-promoting, self-aggrandizing, or evangelistic.
