This has been brewing for some time, the reason it has been getting some more coverage recently is because the water shortages have only recently begun to affect wealthy neighbour goods such as Polanco.
Working class neighbourhoods in Xochimilco have already been experiencing no water for weeks at a time and only receive water from Monday to Friday for 5 hours.
This is not wholly due to the drought, Mexico City’s water reserves have been under capacity ...
