whenever i see posts about “artists should be able to draw whatever they want” i physically recoil bc yeah i mean its tru but assholes love to use that to draw whitewashed characters, gay erasure, child porn. and i dont know the context of the post, is it someone who got hate because they drew ship art for a harmless yet unpopular/widely hated ship? were they getting harassed by racists because they humanized a character as black?
OR…. are they getting“bullied” by mean ol ES JAY...

i keep trying to think of a snappy joke to make about michael buble’s cover of santa baby but i don’t think there’s any possible way to improve on this
Is he going No Homo with Santa?
???????
Yes. The lyrics were changed because the original is very much an appeal to Santa as sugar daddy.
If you don’t have the balls to sing it like that, I strongly suggest you just stick to “White Christmas”,...

Dear Non-Slash Fans
So you don’t like slashing certain characters? Fine by me!You don’t have to sail every ship, or ANY ship if you don’t feel like it. There are plenty of slash pairingsthat don’t float my boat.
You know what’s not fine? Policing how other people enjoy media.
It doesn’t make you cooler or smarter than everyone else to insult slash fans or call usgross or stupid or deranged. Why should it ruin your enjoyment of a thing if someone likes imagining those two dudes or...
Would sometimes referring to a nonbinary person in a novel as just "trans" or "queer" be a problem? Or should their gender be spelled out clearly if ever referenced to avoid confusion or misinterpretation?
“Queer” is a reclaimed slur often used as a personal identity or general umbrella term (e.g. “queer community”); non-binary identities are included under the queer umbrella and can use it for themselves. However, the termshould notbe used by cishet people (you cannot reclaim something that has never applied to you in the first place), unless they’re talking about somebody who specifically identifies that way. Best practice in writing, even for non-cishet people, is to limit its usage to queer...

Doohan served with the Canadian Army, and lost the middle finger of his right hand when he was shot at Normandy.
![]()
He did his best to conceal the missing finger during his acting career, but sometimes tribbles happen.
![]()
Although technically he was not a member of the Royal Canadian Air Force, he was once labelled the “craziest pilot in the Canadian Air Force” due to things like slaloming a plane between mountainside telegraph poles just to prove it could be done (which earned...

“Within just four days of welcoming our new prime minister, he has notified Obama that Canada will be pulling out of the bombing campaign in the middle east, he has put forth a motion to remove the ban that prohibits gay men from donating blood, he has motioned to have medical marijuana dispensaries placed in every major Canadian city, which will stimulate the economy, and has launched an official nation-wide search for the missing and murdered First Nations women...
