Just a Silly Robot published in Allegory ezine

Let’s start the month of November with some really good news. Just a Silly Robot, a sci-fi themed short story of mine, has just been published in Allegory ezine, a bi-annual online magazine of science fiction, fantasy and horror, Volume 32/59, Fall/Winter 2017. What is the story about? Well, let’s keep it short and sweet, no spoilers. Here’s the pitch: The purpose of life is to be. To survive. On a space colonization mission to Epsilon Eridani, a robot faces...

Military action book is complete

A happy moment has descended upon us. I’ve finished writing my hardcore military adventure drama book. Give or take three months of active writing, roughly 90K words, it is complete. Locked and loaded. Ready for action. Now, I will take a few moments to rest, replenish my creative batteries and start working on a fresh project. I was thinking perhaps finishing the editorial work on the action book I’ve written as a kid almost 30 years ago – it will...

Welcome to Pacific City

That that of year again. Anthologies! SFFWorld.com is running a brand new anthology project, and this time, it’s bigger and more complex than ever. It’s not just a collection of short stories. It’s a shared world. And it’s happening in a fictionalized metropolis on the west coast of the USA. The theme? Heroes & Villains. Like every year, I am going to pitch in my own share – well, I already have, and I hope my story will do justice...

The Lost Words now runs HTTPS

More website changes. As some of the more astute-eyed among you may have already noticed, I’ve decided to enable HTTPS site-wide, so if you want to feel security conscious while reading my stories, you can do so. This isn’t a significant change from your perspective, as there aren’t any data forms or fields with sensitive information anywhere, but still, some extra S vitamin might not hurt. It would be nice if you can take a look around and report any...

New website theme and layout

Something non-literary for today. I’ve decided to refresh the look and feel of The Lost Words, with a theme that should be more suitable for a wider range of user devices, including tablets and phones. The word the pundits love to use is – responsive. There are still an odd crinkle to iron, an odd spot to polish, a few small styling bits and pieces to sort out, but largely, the new format is here, locked and loaded, shake and...

Decay has been published!

Ladies, gentlemen, zombies et al, it’s alive, it’s alive! Decay, it’s out there. Both paperback and Kindle editions are available, affordably and justly priced. Decay is a first-person zombie-themed novella, told from the perspective of a zombie. Hopefully, it justifies the narrative and the theme. I’ve never done first person before. Zombies are another first. […]

Zombie Apocalypse Imminent

Hear hear, the hordes of the dead are coming upon us. I have just received my print proof of Decay, a first-person zombie novella, and it is looking gorgeous. Dope art, sweet matte cover finish, which adds to the intended feeling of bleakness. Behold. Now, I’ve got to breeze through the pages, keep an eye […]

Zombie novella named: Decay

And so it begins. A book must have a cover. A book must have a name. Proudly presenting my upcoming zombie-themed novella, Decay, installment #1 in the Humanz series. Told from the perspective of a zombie, in first person. Did I mention the kickass cover? Designed by Anton Kokarev (kanartist.ru), it conveys a message of […]

Writing two books at the same time!
