The Book of Matthew Chapter 1 - Joseph Accepts Jesus as His Son

Matthew 1:18-25 Joseph Accepts Jesus as His Son

18 This is how the birth of Jesus the Messiah came about: His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be pregnant through the Holy Spirit. 19 Because Joseph her husband was faithful to the law, and yet did not want to expose her to public disgrace, he had in mind to divorce her quietly.

20 But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. 21 She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.”

22 All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: 23 “The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel” (which means “God with us”).

24 When Joseph woke up, he did what the angel of the Lord had commanded him and took Mary home as his wife. 25 But he did not consummate their marriage until she gave birth to a son. And he gave him the name Jesus.

Blessed Are Those

Does money make a person blessed? Does being rich on Earth make a person blessed? Do fame and glamor make a person blessed? Nope, none of these things makes a person blessed.

Why do I say this? Note: It is written in Matthew 5:1-12.

Now when Jesus saw the crowds, he went up on a mountainside and sat down. His disciples came to him, and he began to teach them.

He said:

"Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.

Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.

Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.

Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.

Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven".

“Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you."

Tomorrow We Will See

Today you will see. Tomorrow we will see. When you are innocent and being slaughtered for nothing. Do not be afraid or worry of those who start the war for they are wicked, and ready to shed blood.

Note: Psalm 37:1-9 tells us. "Don't worry about the wicked or envy those who do wrong. For like grass, they soon fade away. Like spring flowers, they soon wither".

Note: Psalm 37:10 tells us. "The wicked will be destroyed, but those who trust in the Lord will possess the land".

Note: Psalm 37:14 tells us. "The Lord laughs at wicked people, because he knows they will soon be destroyed".

Quote: Desire Life Only

This requires deep thought to protect yourself, from what it brings forth. Desire nothing on earth but life.

What is Life? It is written in John 14:6. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life.

Being Useful

How can I be useful all the days of my life?

Note: Psalms 92: 12-15 says. The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon; planted in the house of the Lord, they will flourish in the courts of our God. They will still bear fruit in old age, they will stay fresh and green, proclaiming, “The Lord is upright; he is my Rock, and there is no wickedness in him.

Note: You have to want to be a righteous person.

Here are 10 things that can help you make all of the days of your life useful

1. Keep learning the word of God:

2. Keep loving:

3. Keep laughing: Laughter - brings joy

4. Keep leaving your cares behind - yesterday's problems and past anxieties- And cast them onto the Lord:

5. Keep longing - keep dreaming - dream about your future: Look toward what God calls you to do next:

6. Be young and useful at any age - Planning for tomorrow:

7 Keep looking -  Look your best do your best, be your best:

8. Keep laboring:

9. Keep leaning - rely upon the Lord - trust God for wisdom and direction. Fret not-

do not worry or be anxious:

10. Keep listening - be quiet: Read the bible and ask God to speak to it.

Jesus Christ Is My True Israel

Trey Knowles

Hosea 11:1 “When Israel was a child, I loved him, and out of Egypt I called my son.

Matthew 2:15 where he stayed until the death of Herod. And so was fulfilled what the Lord had said through the prophet: “Out of Egypt I called my son.

Jesus is the promised land for the Kingdom of Heaven.

Note: John 14:6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

Jesus Christ is our Lord our true Shepherd our Israel.

Note: Psalm 100: 1-5  Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands.

2 Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing.

3 Know ye that the Lord he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.

5 For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.

When we have fought the good fight, which is in Christ, we have overcome the world, as our Lord has. We are in the hands of spiritual Israel, just like Jacob. We are Climbing Jacob's Ladder.

Then he said, 'Your name shall no longer be called Jacob, but Israel, for you have striven with God and with men, and have prevailed'” (Gen. 32:27-28). Jacob has not only prevailed in grappling with men (Gen. 29–31), he also clings to God as he wrestles Him.

Note: John 16:33 "Jesus says these things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”

Jesus is our promise land.

The Religion That God Accepts

What is Religion?

The service and worship of the supernatural or God. A cause, principle, or system of beliefs held with strong feelings and faith.

Religion is a broad concept that can be defined as a person's relationship with what they consider to be sacred, divine, or spiritual:

Within Religion There Is:

Beliefs: A set of assumptions about the nature, purpose, or cause.

Practices: A set of organized practices, such as rituals, prayer, meditation, and worship.

Community: A community of people who share the same faith.

Morals: A moral code that governs human conduct.

Facts & Truth on Real Religion:

Note: The Religion that God accepts is this It is written in James 1:27

Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.

Any Religion outside of James 1:27(keep oneself from being polluted by the world), Outside of this is falsehood. Even Jesus said to live by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.

I will go further if you are not living a repented lifestyle and following the commandments of God your religion is nothing.

Why do I say this?

Note: It is written. Amos 5:21-23 says “I hate, I despise your religious festivals; your assemblies are a stench to me. Even though you bring me burnt offerings and grain offerings,

I will not accept them. Though you bring choice fellowship offerings, I will not regard them. Away with the noise of your songs! I will not listen to the music of your harps.

If you are serious about religion follow the commandments of God and keep yourself away from unclean things of the world.

Note: Holy means to set apart.
