Saturday Snippet
This week I’ve actually written quite a lot, but I’m not sure it’s right… That said, I thought I’d give you a snippet.
Doctor Caleb Everett came into the dining room at the same time Kat, Mason and Cassidy did and stopped dead in his tracks. His brother had his arm around a stunner of a woman. “Mase?” he called as he made his way over.
“Cale! I haven’t seen you in almost a month. What’s up with that?” Mason asked, the woman tucked to his side.
Caleb gave his brother’s woman a once over. Some guys had all the luck. “I’ve been working. Trauma docs don’t keep banker’s hours,” he answered with a smirk. “You planning on introducing your lady, or do I have to do it myself?”
Mason chuckled. “Katerina Nemecek, meet my baby brother, Caleb.”
She took his outstretched hand. “Nice to meet you.”
He raised his eyebrows at his brother. “The pleasure is all mine.” Caleb held onto her long enough to watch his brother’s coffee eyes heat. With a grin at Mason, he dropped her hand. “So, Katerina is the woman you’ve been mooning over lately?”
Mooning over? Was he that dopey?

I’ll Take Erratic Weather for 1000, Alex!
I know, a post about the weather seems lame, but just in the last three weeks we’ve had a tornado (several, actually), a snow day (3 inches!), unseasonably warm temperatures (today’s high was 79), severe thunderstorms (last night) and tomorrow’s high is only 69. So, yeah, I might be lame, but this is crazy!
I also want to apologize for being quiet here on the blog lately–I have been super busy, but I have been writing. Last night Dance With Me ended up at 19,350 words and there’s more story to tell, so I’m thinking we’re looking at an April release instead of March, and it will end up longer than I’d originally estimated. There was a character who appeared I hadn’t expected, and some twists and turns I hadn’t planned, so I hope you like it when it’s finished!
Since I have been hanging out with Katerina and Mason, I have not gone back to Speeding in the last few weeks. I promise I won’t leave you hanging forever with it, but jumping out of Kat and Mason’s heads into Kendall and Reid’s has not worked terribly well, so I just ask you bear with me. That story has SO much more coming, and I promise we’ll get there… as soon as I can get there.
So, since I’ve made you wait a while for it, let’s pretend it Sunday and do six sentences from Dance, shall we?
They weren’t listening to her anyway. She’d call Mason and he would fix this. A lawyer. He’d have to get her a lawyer. She slumped against the scarred seat. Yesterday had been like a fairytale and today she was handcuffed in the back of a police car before lunchtime.

Looooooooong Week
This week started with food poisoning, moved into that sick hangover and then began a hellish week at the store where everyone decided to bring in their entire jewelry box to be appraised. Oh, and yesterday, I cut 700 words from Dance that just weren’t working for me. The reasoning behind it was good–it wasn’t reflecting the characters as they would react–but it was disheartening nonetheless. So, yeah, a long week indeed.
I know I promised a snippet in my last post, so… How about six sentences from Dance With Me?
In her dance, she let it all fall away, let the music move through her. When the final notes played, she was panting with exertion and oblivious to the clapping in the room.
God, she was sexy. Unable to stand the other men watching her, clapping for her, he strode across the room and swept her into his arms. She was his, and no one and nothing would keep her from him. He cupped her chin and brought his mouth down on hers fiercely.
So, now it’s time to replace those words and add more! Onward and upward!
((hugs))

Friends Rock!
I have been busy this week, and Wonderful Hubby has been sick, so I haven’t been posting like I’m supposed to. That said, as my title and cute little pic says–I have some absolutely fabulous friends!
Why do I say this? Well… If you haven’t noticed the great new cover for Speeding on the sidebar, check it out. My amazing and talented friend Jodi made it for us, and she did a fantabulous job!
I also have some very wonderful friends beta-reading and proofreading DANCE WITH ME, and the feedback I’m getting is beyond helpful. So, yep, friends so totally rock, and mine are awesome!
Short, bubbly post over. I will post some snippets later this week
((hugs))
