I talk a lot about my comic book bucket list. There are numerous characters and titles that I want to write. Well, I can at long last cross another item off the list. With FEARLESS DEFENDERS 10, I finally get to tackle a genre that is near and dear to my heart–the dance/romance drama. When Marvel’s Infinity event crashes into the pages of Fearless Defenders, only one power can stop the forces of Thanos–hip hop and street dancing! And, no, I’m not kidding.

Talking Mania With Newsarama

Killing Deadpool For Fun and Profit
I told ya I’ve been doing a lot of interviews lately. Today’s gab-fest focuses on the upcoming DEADPOOL KILLS DEADPOOL limited series. This book is the last of the “killogy” (or is it?) and it stars more Deadpools than you can shake a pointy stick at–including the Wade Wilson from “our” Marvel Universe! And if he’s there, then it’s part of mainstream continuity! It’s a must-read, because the fate of everything hinges on this book! So give the interview a read and prepare yourself for the most important Deadpool book… ever!

Mania-Mania Runs Wild On You!
Apparently, I’ve done a lot of interviews lately! What can I say? There’s a lot to talk about! A couple of new interviews have posted over the last day or two. As synchronicity would have it, both of these discussions focused a bit on my days as a gamer. It’s no secret that I spent many hours playing games like Dungeons and Dragons, Call of Cthulhu, Vampire: The Masquerade, and others. While I don;t get to game nearly as often as I used to, it’s still a hobby that I really enjoy.
Dorkland: My Life as a Gamer – I talk about everything from my earliest days gaming to comic books I’d like to see adapted to a role-playing game.
Popcorn and Novocaine: Talking With Giants – This interview covers my comics, my writing influences, and–yes–gaming.
Thanks for chekcing them out, folks! Now I’ve got to get back to planning the Descent into the Depths of the Earth campaign… er… I mean… I’ve got to get back to writing this comic script!

Fearless Defenders 9
The ninth issue of FEARLESS DEFENDERS has been solicited… and the description of the book does not do justice to the insanity that you will find within these pages. Like issue 8, this will be a stand-alone story featuring a ton of Defenders, a ton of villains (some with a Defenders pedigree), and a ton of guest stars (who, as you might have guessed, are dudes).
Now… just from this solicitation, I’ve heard some backlash… because obviously these few sentences tell you enough to predict the course of human history from this day forward.
But… But… You can’t add male characters to an all-female group!
You’ll ruin what the book is about!
I don’t want male characters to swoop in and save the day!
But, really, folks… It’ll be all right. This series takes place within the main Marvel Universe. There are men in the Marvel Universe, you know? Nobody said they’re taking over the book. Take a deep breath, nerve-calming drugs, a drink, or whatever you need to relax a bit. You’ve got a few weeks before the issue comes out.
What I will tell you about this issue is that it is one of the weirdest things I’ve ever written.
