A fun tale of Friendship, Cooperation, and Generosity Really well written. I found this book to be a great sequel to the original book with some nice differences. The story itself was very fitting for 9 yr old's but appealed to me at age 55 having be ...more |

"A teeny short story. I really disliked the bloke, as we were meant to do, but I have to say my attention was held throughout. I would describe it as an uncomfortable read because I felt for the main. I was delighted when the main found herself again."

| A nice short romance of self discovery and healing - healing oneself and healing relationships once left behind. I liked that the author gave time for things to resolve rather than the trend for quicker forgiveness or reconnection. I found Alot of de ...more | |

Everything you need to know about having a cat: Boy do I wish I had found this book decades ago. I had to learn most of the things author Nora Donahue describes the hard way. I think this is an extensive and complete guide to the problems and respons ...more |

"This story is perfect for the holidays. For anyone who has ever felt stifled by the weight of expectations, and being who you’re supposed to be instead of who you are, this story will make you feel all the emotions.

"A tender, cozy sapphic holiday romance filled with warmth, quiet courage, and emotional healing. Sarah’s journey of self-rediscovery feels deeply relatable, and the slow-burn connection with Jess is gentle, affirming, and heart-fluttering. Perfect fo"

“Learning and transformation happen in layers. We rarely uncover every layer the first time we encounter something, no matter how hard we try.”

“one little trick I have found helpful: I often ask myself , what direction are your feet pointed? Even if I dont have it in me to move forward, simply setting the intention-imagining my feet pointing forward-can reframe my sense of progress”

“The ability to do hard things is perhaps the most useful ability you can foster in yourself or your children. And proof that you are someone who can do them is one of the most useful assets you can have on your life resume.
Our self-image is composed of historical evidence of our abilities. The more hard things you push yourself to do, the more competent you will see yourself to be.
If you can run marathons or throw double your body weight over your head, the sleep deprivation from a newborn is only a mild irritant. If you can excel at organic chemistry or econometrics, onboarding for a new finance job will be a breeze.
But if we avoid hard things, anything mildly challenging will seem insurmountable. We’ll cry into TikTok over an errant period at the end of a text message. We’ll see ourselves as incapable of learning new skills, taking on new careers, and escaping bad situations.
The proof you can do hard things is one of the most powerful gifts you can give yourself.”
