"This ain't Dodge City, and you ain't Bill Hitchcock."
Wherein Jack rambles.
I found out I don't have to go into work tomorrow, so I plan to throw on some comfortable clothes, curl up in my chair with some tea and dried fruit and blankets, and spend most of the day editing. It sounds less painful when I throw in the tea and Josh Groban's CDs.
Tomorrow I'm hoping to get started on the cover for A Stretch of Loyalty. I realized today that I'd done it again, not gotten anything done I'd hoped to and will be rushing around doing it all last minute. But right now, if I can get the picture, I'll be doing okay.
I've also gotten to the stage where I don't want to edit anymore. This happens about the middle of the book. About this point I want to declare the book a disaster which can never be fixed, stuff it in a document, and start with a brand new idea. It doesn't help that I'm missing Peter and the Air Pirates. I've found so many mistakes in this book it feels hopeless at the moment. (More then once I've found places were one handed Stefan will miraculously sprout another hand, only to loose it later.
I have to keep reminding myself this is all part of the editing process and refuse to allow myself to toss the book. I've set myself a goal though. As soon as I finish I plan to buy the second half of series eight of Doctor Who and spend a good, long day watching the Doctor and Clara's adventures. I might have a Monk marathon as well. Monk or Firefly, haven't decided which yet.
Anyways, that is where I am at the moment. My photographer and I are still planning on getting a trailer done, just we ran into a lot of set backs so are looking into other trailer options. Hopefully I will have it done fairly soon, but I can't make any promises. (The one thing I am determined to do is have the cover out by May 14th, a month before the book is released.)
And now I have to go....aye....edit some more. If I finished in good time there is a new episode of Grimm with my name on it. *Grin*

"Great good? I am your WIFE! I'm the greatest GOOD you are EVER gonna get!"
Z
Aye, Z, which means the challenge is over. Which means I will now have to come up with posts all on me own. Hmmmmm....
The only Z movie which comes to mind right now is Zorro. Though this isn't a favourite of mine, I did like it more the last time I saw it. I've always like Zorro though. A dashing hero in a mask who has a cool sword.
"Do you know how to use that thing?" "Yes, pointy end goes into the other man."
I like the old TV shows more then the movie, and I didn't like the second movie at all, but the first was fun and I re-watch it from time to time.
*** I'm getting caught up on editing, finally. My mum gave me a spiny office chair so now I can sit at my desk and spin in circles while I pretend to work.
*Warning, now that the challenge is over, be prepared for my random, editing posts.*
If you don't know what the title quote is from you've really missed out.

"Look at their brilliant beards! I want a beard."
I'm not even going to apologize for missing two days of the challenge. I don't even regret it. I don't even regret getting a couple days behind in editing - okay, maybe I do that because now I have to work all this week to get caught up. But I don't feel too guilty about it. Because spring FINALLY came and the last three days I've spent every moment possible outside. I even went to the park, sat in the sun, and read a book. Soooo....I'm having just a little bit of trouble feeling guilty for going AWOL. *Smirk* (If I didn't have editing I'd do it again because the weather men said spring isn't going to last much longer.)
Anyways, I now have to get caught up in the challenge.
W
Woman in Black.
"Don't go chasing shadows, Arthur."
I HATE horror movies. I watched Hide and Seek once and wanted to hide under the couch. I watched The Sixth Sense and forced myself to forget it because it creeped me out so much. I couldn't even stand watching Unbreakable - and that wasn't even a horror. So, when I saw the preview for Woman in Black I was shocked when I realized I wanted to see it. And when I finally saw it, I went away wanting to see it again.
I'm not sure what it is about this movie that I like. Maybe because it isn't so much a creepy movie as a suspenseful one. I jumped during scenes but I didn't want to hide under my blanket. I even bought the movie and someday hope to make my brothers watch it with me.
X
X-Men.
"You know, you should wear your seat belt." "Now look, kid, I don't need advice on auto-" *Car crashes*
I've only seen the first two but I REALLY want to see Wolverine and the new Wolverine coming out - okay, part of it might have to do with the fact that Hugh Jackman plays Wolverine. *Whistles innocently.* I didn't like the first X-Men when I saw it but my brother loved it so we saw it a few more times and it grew on me. Then we watched the second and I slowly got pulled into the X-Men world. I hope to see all the others soon.
Y
Okay, so I can't think of any movie I've seen which starts with Y. There probably is an obvious one that someone will mention in a comment and I'll kick myself for not thinking of it. But until then I am going to have to cheat and go with a movie character who's name starts with Y.
Yvonne. (I believe is how it is spelled.) From Stardust.
"Murdered by pirates. Heart torn out and eaten. Meet Victoria. I can't decide which sounds more fun."
I watched the first few minutes of this movie because of Ben Barnes. When I saw he was cast as Prince Caspian I wanted to see what he was like. Not only did I end up thinking he'd make a good Prince Caspian I went away wanting to finish the movie. I think one of the reasons I like it so well is because of the princes. But, the airship helps too. Only, my friend and I both agree Mr. Barnes should have played Trystan instead of his father. (There are a couple things I don't like about it, but over all I enjoy it.)
And now I am caught up. I will be spending this week editing so if I don't answer your comments it isn't because I've forgotten about you or am not reading your wonderful comments. It just means all the time I'm on my computer I'm editing. But I shall do my best to keep up on all comments and blog reading. And thank you to all who comment. You are all my best encouragers.

"I was hiding under your porch because I love you."
I had trouble with U so I had to look movies up. And I found Up. And while this movie isn't a huge favourite of mine I still enjoy watching it from time to time. It is just a lot of fun, and it has Doug in it. And an airship. And now I kind of want to see it again.

Voyage of the Dawn Treader.
"Mother says I have an acute disposition." "I don't think he has an a cute anything.""You're sure he's related by blood?"
Yes, I like this movie. I know a lot of people hate it with a passion but I really liked it. I missed some things from the book, mostly Caspian's line about the round world, but it wasn't enough to make me hate the movie. In fact, I might have to do a review on this one. When I'm not in the middle of a challenge.*** I'm hoping by tomorrow to be caught up on my editing, since I don't have a long day at work. At the moment though I'm falling asleep so I'm just going to bed. Besides, Kitty wants my arm and me using it for typing displeases her.

"Please let me shoot your boyfriend. Just a flesh wound that he can walk away from."
Some of you were trying to guess which movie I'd pick for T. Many saying I should do The Hobbit, even though it might be cheating a little since The isn't really it's title. BUT...I already had T's movie picked out for awhile, and if using The Hobbit is cheating then so is using this movie. Therefore, I'm just going to be all pirate and throw rules to the wind and double cheat.
First is The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe.
"I'm going to kill him!" "You may not have to."
I saw this movie right before it went out of the theatures. I didn't think I'd like it until my mum read the book to my brothers and I, then I REALLY wanted to see the movie because I liked the book. Well, I instantly fell in love with it and for Christmas my parents bought me the extended edition. I can now quote it all the way through. And I used to watch it right before any new Narnia movie came out - you know, when there were still new Narnia movies coming out. I was especially looking forward to them doing The Silver Chair and The Horse and His Boy. (There, more T movies too.)
Okay, anyways, now to my second cheating movie.
The Hobbit. (Because, really, how could I do this challenge and NOT mention such a brilliant movie?)
"You know my name, you just forgot that I belong to it. I'm Gandalf! And Gandalf means...me." "Gandalf! The wizard who made such excellent fireworks!"
I've seen it three times already and am DYING to buy it. I loved everything about it and I didn't mind the pale orc even though he wasn't in the book.
I have decided one thing though after seeing it so much. The dwarves, when forced to flee their home, shouldn't have taken jobs as Blacksmiths but as singers. They could have started their own band and won over every girl in Middle Earth. I even like their singing more then the elves - though I have always liked deep, rumbling voices best.
Anyways, singing aside. This rates right up there with The Lord of the Rings for me and I'm very excited for the other two - okay, a little less because I know how they end. Oh yes, and the spiders. But Martin Freeman kind of makes up for the spiders. (Kind of)
And lastly....guess what I have?! That's right! A new Psych quote. And since I had a guessing game for the last quote I'll do the same for this one and make everyone who has seen the show guess who is speaking to whom.
P.S. for those who guessed on the last quote. It was from the 11th Doctor while on board the pirate ship.
And that is all.

Series of Unfortunate Events.
"Soda, Soda...banana."
I saw the movie before I read the books, something which can get me hanged in the reading world. When I first saw it I thought the movie was very weird. Yet, since I'm naturally a very weird person, I ended up liking the movie. It is still one of my favourites, I even wish I had a dress like Violet's.
And I don't know where to go from here. I've tried writing this post three times at least. I got behind in my editing by a day and have been trying to come up, but my brain thinks it is unable to handle two chapters in one day and after the first it shuts down. After I edited this morning I kind of dozed off, too tried to convince myself to do one more chapter.
But I am making progress. And this is were I start to say something intelligent, but I don't think I'll attempt it. Just be glad I got a post this long.
And, that is all I have. Quote is from Doctor Who. Points to whoever knows which episode.

RISE OF THE GUARDIANS!!! (I know, you didn't see that one coming, did you?)
"We were all someone before we were chosen." "You should have seen Bunny!" "You promised never to mention that!"
I really like this movie. I rate it up there with How to Train your Dragon...and almost with Tintin. (Sorry, Tintin has its own special rating and I think it will only be joined by another Tintin movie. *CoughHintPeterJacksonCough*)
This movie is just so magical and fun. And it has North in it. And he uses two swords when he fights. What more can I say? *Grin*
*** I think I was going to add something more to this post, but now that I'm writing it all I am drawing is blanks. (I have a review coming soon but right now I'm too tried to even think of doing it.) Instead, I think I am going to give up on all further thinking and crawl into bed. Besides, it is late and I've had a busy week. And I didn't get today's editing done which means I have to do it this weekend. So I might as well spend an hour or so resting. *Grin*
I do have some character posts planned, and some others if I can remember them, coming once the challenge has ended. For now I'll leave you with this.

"You're just going to tell him his new lady friend is a troll?"
Today is the hard letter of....Q! Except I have a favourite movie which has saved me from too much thinking.
Quest for Camelot!!
"Oh! I didn't realize you're..." "Tall? Handsome? Ragged?" "Blind." "Oh yeah, I always forget that one.""You've never sang before, have you?" *Punch*
I've loved this movie since first seeing it years ago. It has a cool sword, a quest, knights, and a dragon. Definitely all the makings to make the list of movies I will never get tired of watching. I also quote it constantly. (And it was where I first got my desire to write a book about a quest for a sword, which over the years has turned into The Broken Blade.) So I'm very fond of this movie.
And the Arthur in it is pretty cool, though thanks to BBC Merlin I shall never get used to seeing an old Merlin and a young Arthur together.
*** Well, with the release of A Stretch of Loyalty only two months away - even less since it is now the 18th, I am working extra hard on editing. I've also discovered I have a bad habit. I realized I CANNOT edit unless I have a deadline I am really close to. I need to fix this before I get myself into big trouble.
Right now I am doing a ton of editing, a chapter a day and these are long chapters. (Remind me again why I wrote them so long?!)
I'm also trying to get the cover done - by this I mean at least get the cover picture taken - and the trailer started. It would help if winter would take a hike and allow us frozen Westerners to crawl out of our homes and thaw. (Right now I'm hiding under my heated blanket with a little space heater warming up one arm.)
So, I will now apologize for getting behind on emails and comments - again. I am going to do my best to get them all answered but when I'm not working I'm editing - and trying to finish writing Abolished Impracticality. I am almost at the end of it, I just need more writing time! (Working a real job is very overrated. Who came up with real jobs anyways?)
Don't give up on me in the email department. I hope to have most of them answered tomorrow, before I begin my massive edit of the day.
Right now I am going to crawl the rest of the way under my heated blanket and pretend it is going to be summer when I wake up.

"My name? It would mean nothing to you, but back home they call me Tintin."
This was supposed to be a brilliant post where I gave a wonderful update on my editing and writing. However, I've just spent the last hour and a half fixing all my book files in an attempt to find a map and all the information on A Stretch of Loyalty. And what does that all mean? Well, one is that my book files are all neat and in order...FINALLY! But it also means I'm tired and don't want to look at another computer file the rest of the night. Therefore, I shall just be doing the challenge and watching something mindless for a little while.
Today's letter is P which means I am going with...PRINCE CASPIAN!
"Did you kill my father?!"
I know there has a been a lot of debate about this movie, mostly about it being different from the book, but I still love it. I think it was well made and I love the whole story. It is a movie I never tire of watching though, sadly, my family does *Smirk*
Now, I shall leave you with this tiny, short post.

" Excuse me barmaid, I'm afraid you brought me the wrong offspring."
For today's letter, O, I will be doing another movie I haven't seen yet but got excited to see when I learned it is based after a comic which isn't published yet.
Oblivion, which will be out this Friday - which means I will hopefully be able to see it soon!
Sorry, no quote yet.
Though this movie is staring an actor I'm not too crazy about, Tom Cruse, the plot looks brilliant. A war which changed earth, a man who is supposed to be cleaning up the mess but discovers a secret which will change his life - and likely earth - forever. Also, it has cool robot thingys in it and space-y battles! What isn't to love?
Hopefully it will be as good as it looks.*** Now, before I go and finish the Star Trek episode I'm in the middle of, I have a tag! Which means, naturally, I was tagged. You can find the blogger who tagged me HERE!!
This is a tag with rules.
1. Thank the person who nominated you and link back to their site. (Therefore, since I've linked...THANK YOU!!!) 2. Post 11 random things about yourself. (Good thing I'm a random person.) 3. Answer 11 questions from the person who tagged you. 4. Ask the people you tag 11 questions. 5. Nominate 11 other blogs.
1. 11 random facts about me.
1...again. While I don't need much sleep to function, I do need at least six hours. (Unlike Sherlock, my brain doesn't work best on lack of sleep. Lack of sleep usually ends with me giggling insanely and turning clumsy.)
2. There are certain words I simply cannot spell. Therefore, I never use them in my books, or if I do it is only because I HAVE to. (Squirrel. Crochet. Abraham. To name a few. I had to look all these up.)
3. I hate numbers
4. I rarely entered the adult section at the library
5. I based Peter after myself...meaning, like he, I am terrible at coming up with witty comebacks. I usually just end up grinning and stammering, then later thinking up something really clever.
6. I still like watching cartoons - just not many of the new ones coming out. I prefer the old ones, such as Bugs Bunny among others.
7. I use my left hand as much as possible in the hopes someone will ask if I'm left handed so I can reply with, "I'm not a left handed man."
8. One of my favourite bands is The Temptations from the 60's-70's.
9. I have a twin bed, which means I get a tiny corner of it and Kitty gets the rest. (Along with my books, which displeases her.)
10. The moment spring comes to my home town I'm going on a picnic.
11. I think part of the reason I'm such a bad aim with my bow is because it is so windy where I live I'm used to shooting crocked in an attempt to hit the target. Therefore, when the wind isn't blowing, I am shooting too far off the mark to come close to hitting it. (That's my theory anyways.)
Now, to answer 11 questions. (This is a very Matt Smith tag.)
1. The cookie or the cream? Speaking of oreos? Cream. Always the cream.
2. Have you ever gone skinny dipping? Not where I'm from! I'd turned into an ice cube!
3. How tall are you in cm? 129.5? I'm not sure I did it right - again, I hate numbers.
4. Why is the sky blue? It got tired of being green.
5. How much wood would a wood chuck chuck if a wood chuck could chuck wood? Exactly 1 cord.
6. Boxers of briefs? Does this apply to girls?

Now, I'm going to finish Star Trek.
Allons-y!
Oblivion, which will be out this Friday - which means I will hopefully be able to see it soon!
