2095 Sequels and Hot Night in Budapest
Been nearly a year since I added to this blog, so I need to talk about the THREE sequels to the 2021 sci-fi hit, 2095. It started out as being a trilogy, but the story was so good, I just kept on writing until it was a four-part series. The titles go in this order:
2095
2095 - Ready Rocket Six
2095 - Chronicles of Sephora
2095 - Time Trackers
Go pick them up, the entire series is $4 on ebook. And please give a kind, constructive review or rating after you read any authors books.
ALSO, the long-awaited sequel in the ONE NIGHT TRILOGY, the first book being One Night in Bangkok, has been released. The second has now availabel from my publisher, Savant Books and Publications. The 2nd book is called HOT NIGHT IN BUDAPEST.
All of these time travel stories are related too! The One Night Trilogy follows the events of the 2095 Series. Same family, different characters.
Go get 'em, its great reading for sci-fi fans!
I'm busy at work coming up with a draft to a sequel for my 2nd children's book, that will follow This Enchanted Old Ruin. And I'm busy dreaming up my next sci-fi series. And perhaps even another time travel romance. As long as my brain keeps ticking, I'm gonna keep writing!
Adios and happy reading! Be kind to authors, give a review or a rating and be nice!

8 Days on Maui
I haven't posted in a while, but needed to add a new entry here to plug my new novel, 8 Days on Maui. Just 7 short months ago last December, I took a much needed vacation to my favorite spot in Hawaii, Kaanapali which is in West Maui. I had never been to the islands during the holidays, so it was unique that way and a different way of seeing this wonderful place. While there, I relaxed a LOT, but I also learned more about that beautiful side of the island. And on one of my many early morning and late evening walks/hikes, I learned from historical markers about the old airstrip called Kaanapali Airport. I also learned that the unique taveern, the Windsock Lounge was located right where my condo was situated, only 60 years earlier. I began feverishly studying more about this old airstrip and the colorful history behind this quirky little bar and found it most interesting.
My imagination began to go nuts out in the holiday paradise, so I ran to the nearest ABC store and picked up a journal and began brainstorming in my little condo. Not only did I come up with the story for 8 Days on Maui, but also 2 more sequels to last year's scifi odyssey and bestselling novel, 2095!
Needless to say, 8 Days on Maui was written and polished down carefully from a very rough, rough draft and was finally released only 5 months later from its inception in late May of this year.
The most unique thing about this story is the number of genres it mixes together, and I am proud to say, I think I pulled it off. It is primarly a mystery with the use of time travel and paranormal romace, but with a backstory of murder as well. Given the blend of history involving the setting at the old airport and tavern, it also lends itself to historical fiction as well.
I am proud to say it has earned several 5-star ratings already! I hope you guys go grab a copy and enjoy it too! And if you do like it, please leave a kind review or rating on Amazon.
And be on the lookout for those 2 2095 sequels, which sometime in 2023 will be released and become the 2095 Trilogy!

2095 Takes Flight
I know I'm dating myself but 40 years ago when I was 12 years old, my favorite band ELO released a new album called TIME. At the time it was probably the most unique record I had ever listened to. The intro itself was genius with its elctro-voice and synthesizers. It was quite a departure from their earlier brilliant work in the 70's. Not everybody liked ELO's new sound but I did. I loved music so it wasn't hard to impress a 12 year old like myself. But what I liked most about the album TIME, was that as I listened to it more and more, I began to realize it was telling a story. Each song led to another part of this sci-fi tale. It was pretty amazing what Jeff Lynne had done, not only in writing the lyrics but the he wrote all the music too, as he did on all the ELO albums.
I always thought it would be cool to write a novel based on his broad material. I just didn't know it would take me 40 years to get around to it.
I didn't quite know how to approach it though since there were a lot of gaps to fill in between all the loosely connected tracks.
The result is my 12th novel and 10th to be published, called 2095. It was a heck of lot of fun to write and I also found a way to connect this story not only to ELO's TIME, but also to a certain trilogy by "yours truly" as well.
I hope a lot of people will read and enjoy 2095, and I hope Mr. Lynne doesn't mind me writing a story based on his music. I asked him about it but of course I never got a response, which I expected. He's still a musical genius in my book ;) Here's to the 40th anniversary of the release of TIME! I released 2095 on July 2nd, the same day TIME was released 40 years ago.
Enjoy!

This Enchanted Old Ruin takes a bow!
It's been a year and a half in the making, from an idea that came to me during breakfast one morning in Sept. 2019, but it is finally here. THIS ENCHANTED OLD RUIN made its online debut on May 14th, with incredible illustrations from Canadian artist Emily Zieroth. She did just a wonderful job bringing these characters to life that were literally pulled from thin air. And some of the pages were a challenge I must admit, but she nailed each scene perfectly.
See it here at:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B094TKTGLH
I will be introducing this great book for readers aged 5-9 on May 29th at the Seguin Lone Star Book Festival, along with all my other novels and poetry books.
And be on the lookout for my latest novel, called 2095! I have circled back to doing another sci-fi adventure, based on the 1981 concept album by ELO called Time. This classic album was a time travel odyssey that told a basic story about a man trapped in the future in the year 2095. I have expanded on that concept and also created a tie-in, or prequel if you will, to the 2018 novel, ONE NIGHT IN BANGKOK, which is the first of a three part series that has not been fully released yet.
Look for 2095 on July 2, 2021, the 40th anniversary of the release of ELO's Time!
Here are some dates of where I will be with my books this year:
May 22 - Virtual author reading for Round Rock Public Library - 3pm
May 29 - Lone Star Book Festival - Seguin, TX - 9am-3pm
June 11 - Holly Ranch Book Club - Holly Ranch, TX (tentatvie)
June 12 - Blueberry Festival (The Bosslight Bookstore) - Nacogdoches, TX - 9am-5pm
August 28 - North Texas Book Festival - Denton, TX - 9am-4pm
November 20 - Texas Word Wrangler - Giddings, TX - 9am-4pm

Looking to a brighter 2021!
It's already February of a new year, we're all very hopeful now with the slow rollout of COVID-19 vaccines.
So, we authors are very slowly getting back out in the public as well, however very cautiously.
BEATIFIC is now released and off to a slow start, but I am eager to introduce it to new readers. Progress continues and looking promising on the new children's book, THIS ENCHANTED OLD RUIN. Details to come on that soon. And work has already begun on a sci-fi odyssey, 2095.
I am pleased to announce I am starting to put dates on the calendar for book events this year.
Starting out is one of my favorite bookstores, The Twig in San Antonio! Here is a list of upcoming events:
March 13 - The Twig Bookstore - San Antonio, TX 11am-1pm
May 1 - Winnsboro Festival of Books (tentative) - Winnsboro, TX - 9am-2pm
May 29 - Lone Star Book Festival - Seguin, TX - 9am-3pm
June 12 - Blueberry Festival (The Bosslight Bookstore) - Nacogdoches, TX - 9am-5pm

Christmas Book Signing - Canceled
**UPDATE**
This was canceled for non-Covid related reasons. It appears the bookstore failed to book my confirmation back in September even though they received it. Sorry! This wasn't on me. We'll try to make it up next year if we get back to San Antonio.
---------------------------
2020 has seen many cancellations for obvious reasons, but I'm happy to say authors are able to get out there in the public a little more these days.
I have one more event scheduled for this year and that will be at one of my favorite bookstores, The Twig, in San Antonio. I'll be there December 12th from 11an to 1pm during the Pearl Market Days.
I'm looking forward to this last event!
Also be on the lookout for BEATIFIC, my 11th novel, to be released on January 5, 2021. Pre-sales will start on December 8th!

The Legend Continues January 7, 2020....
I'm happy to announce that the long-awaited sequel to the 2008 "historic masterpiece" Legend Upon the Cane now has a release-date.
Legend at Lanana Creek is set to drop on January 7, 2020. ebooks are already available for pre-order on Amazon.com and paperbacks will be available on Jan. 7th.
I don't want to toot my own horn, but this is a GREAT story! And totally does justice to the legend of the twin Indian brothers. I am hoping the people of Nacogdoches will receive it warmly.
Interest locally has already begun. I'm proud to also announce the book launch will be held February 15, 2020 in downtown Nacogdoches at the only bookstore in town, The Bosslight!
Also, the local newspaper, the Daily Sentinel, will be doing a story on the book.
I also have plans to return to Nacogdoches for the annual Blueberry Festival (the biggest day of the year in town) in June. The Bosslight will be hosting me that day as well outside in front of the store.
So, historical fiction fans, get ready!

For you Historical Fiction fans out there...
And for you Historical Fiction fans out there...
I'm excited to announce the long-awaited sequel to my first book from 2008, Legend Upon the Cane, will finally be seeing the light of day very soon! Many people have asked me when I was going to write about the other twin brother. The first book is about the twin whom Natchitoches, La is named after, now I have written about the other twin whom Nacogdoches, TX was named for. Well, it took me 12 years and a lot of convincing from my mom (she's very persuasive lol), I'm happy to say the sequel is now written and in the editing phase. I am anticipating the release to be sometime around January or February of next year. And the title will be....Legend at Lanana Creek. And if you have ever been to Nacogdoches, you probably know the creek I am referring to. Exciting stuff!
