A Monsters 101 Tale: "Ambition" by M. Rasheed

This Monsters 101 short story takes place on the devil world of Dharokalee and features Kyslo, prince of the Tcharen Koh tribe. Those familiar with the “young” prince (he’s young for a Dharokalian but not to us earthlings, as Kyslo is about 600 of our years old ) from his appearances in the main book might be in awe at his laid-back and even affable attitude here, giving some gage as to just how much Mort and Pugroff rubbed him the wrong way.

These events take place some years (possibly decades) before the adventures chronicled within Monsters 101, Book Two: “Heroes & Devils.”

A Monsters 101 Tale: "Thicker Than Water" by M. Rasheed

Monsters 101 is a high adventure graphic novel series by creator M. Rasheed. Starring the former school bully turned super-strong monster Pugroff, and his former favorite nerd victim Mort, the two protagonists act as the newest superheroes in a world full of child-eating monsters and other supernatural beings.
Each book in the series is black & white with a full color cover, consisting of ten-titles, each with six chapters of twenty-two pages a piece. The series concluded sometime in 2012.
This short story takes place sometime during chapter two of Monsters 101, Book Four: "Late Enrollment" shortly after the boys returned from their adventures on the devil world of Dharokalee.  Featuring Mort's continued exploration of the spirit world, it's also the first time we meet members of his family.

TheOriginalSinthesis - The concept of prisons for profit is wrong because it creates a demand for prisoners.

alester54 - That is a ridiculous way of looking at it. For-profit prisons enable the incarceration of criminals without destroying state & local budgets with excessive union contracts and pension costs

Muhammad Rasheed - It's only "a ridiculous way of looking at it" if your position is to protect white supremacist interests. The diabolical mass incarceration industry feeds upon the artificial criminalization of Black men to enrich the white racist aristocracy. The for-profit prison system is well documented as a continuation of chattel slavery by convict leasing, taking advantage of the 13th Amendment loophole, "...except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted."

But as a New York City area investor, financial consultant and entrepreneur, I'm POSITIVE you already knew all of this and are even profiting from it.

alester54 - I try to look at matters striking a balance between practical solutions and a sense of the greater good. I refuse to use a racist filter in decision making.

Muhammad Rasheed - Please note that subjugating Black Americans to continue exploiting & plundering them to economically elevate the white racist aristocracy does nothing beneficial for the greater good, but only enables the Über-selfish white political identity group to monopolize government and industry for themselves alone. Tell your colleagues to let my people go.

alester54 - I have no investments in that sector

Muhammad Rasheed - I'm sure that's a blatant lie.
