My emotional status when writing

I've been working on a fantasy series for about 2 years now. Needless to say, these characters feel so real, that I get overly concerned for them when I'm writing their story. I was writing a scene on lunch yesterday and this was my reaction right here:

I certainly have had my heart grip as one of characters are facing a life and death situation, even though I know what's going to happen.

I get what I call a writer's high, where I seriously want to start dancing, screaming, or crying hysterically.

Cloaked Book 4 of the Jade Series

New Release Coming soon!

I just hit the publish button on "Cloaked" Book 4 of the Jade Series. I'm super excited to release this one!!! It's been a long wait for all my fans, and I really hope they check it out! I plan on having just one more in the series (going to be a monstrous book if I do just one more) But of course, because my brain is overactive I've been having thoughts about a prequel series now! It will probably be awhile on the prequels though, just because I'm jumping between two series. I've been currently working on the next Heart of Grace book. It's coming a long really great!! I hope everyone checks out Cloaked if you've loved the world of Jade.

Just for Fun! Just writing something or another.

He was not what anyone expected at all. The new kid. It looked like he'd woke up this morning and someone had splattered him with a gallon of paint and said, 'Have a cheery day.' He was gangly, skin stretched too tight for his face, and had teeth that appeared a little bit too sharp edged, not to mention the scaly colorful skin that littered his body. So when 16-year-old Bailey Sharp saw him she gasped. She couldn't help it. He just looked plain weird. Like one of the rainbow colored trout her dad brought home for dinner.
She hadn't meant to stare like the walking dead, her jaw slacked, and a bit of drool dripping down her chin. The boy's name was just as weird as he looked. Marvin Bentley.
Bailey took a step back as the boy crossed in front of her not even giving her a glance. He was probably used to people's rude, open-mouthed stares by now. What was wrong with that kid? He looked like a circus freak.
She felt bad after he'd walked by and headed into the school. She could overhear others whispering about his odd appearance. He was certainly not the typical Jackson High teenager. Every person who went to Jackson High was a snob. Every single one of them. Bailey had never considered herself a snob, but deep inside she figured she probably was as well. Everyone here had a lot of money. It showed in their designer clothing, their topnotch hand bags, and brand new cars that were parked in the parking lot.
So, why was a freaky looking kid going to high school here of all places? Bailey hurried into the school after recovering from the initial shock of seeing the kid.
***
"Bales! What's with that?" A blond haired boy came rushing up to Bailey, pointing at the new kid, who was shoving books in his locker. Everyone was whispering about him.
"No idea," she said. Her best friend, Braxton Taylor Jenson had a way of just blurting things out for all to hear. Subtleness was not in his DNA.
"I wonder if he's one of those experimental kids I read about once."
"Brax, keep your voice down," Bailey said. She grabbed her books, her eyes darting around the hallway. Her eyes lifted and connected with the new kid's. His look made her stop walking. Braxton ran smack into her with a squeak.
"What the heck, girl?" he said.
"Sorry, Braxton, sorry," she muttered as she shoved past people in the hall to get to class.

Bailey couldn't get that kid's look out of her mind as she listened to her history teacher rattle on for an hour. After class, she kept hearing snid bits of information about Marvin Bentley. He had some sort of a disease that turned his skin that odd color, and he was this super rich couple's only child. They'd hid him from the world his entire life until now. His therapist said that he needed social interaction. Bailey chewed her salad as Braxton sat down with a wild look in his eye. Obviously, he had some information he just couldn't wait to dump on her.
"So, I got the whole scoop on this guy." He then rattled off the information that Bailey had been picking up throughout the day.
"You listening, Bales? Did you hear anything I said? This guy is a social invalid. I'd say we stay as far away as possible."
"No one is nice in this school. Everyone, and I mean everyone hates each other. Why not at least say hi, Brax? I mean god." Bailey shoved more salad in her mouth. Her social life was hanging on by a thread, and as always Braxton was probably right, but she hated to just let the super duper rich kids eat this one alive.
"Your funeral, girl, your funeral," Braxton said, and then waved the new kid over to their table. He looked at them once, his eyebrows raising slightly, then wandered over to them.
"I'm Braxton Taylor Jenson, and this is Bailey Sharp. Sit." Braxton pointed at the bench.
"Marvin Bentley," the kid awkwardly said. Bailey gave him a smile. She'd told herself just this morning that she would be a nicer person, well this was her nice thing of the day. Inviting a weird kid to eat with her. Already she could feel the whispers behind her rising. God love this school.
"What's with your skin, man?" Braxton asked. Bailey wanted to slap her forehead. Why did he have to say stuff like that?
"I have a rare disease." The boy looked around the room, his fingers twitching against his lunch tray. He looked at Bailey, and again she felt a strange pull into his fathomless blue eyes. She felt something odd run through her blood and yanked her gaze away. What was wrong with her?

Vampire Dairies Books

No idea why I'm blogging here, but why not? I'm currently reading The Fury, book 3 of the Vampire Dairies. I have to say I'm really eating these books up. I know they are not like the show (duh she wrote them before the show)and I've read a few of this author's negative reviews.

Some of them I want to just shake the reviewer and say "Hello! Don't judge her like the show!" I personally love the show, and I do think they have a way more in depth story-line, but that doesn't mean these books aren't good! They've really kept my interest, and it makes me want to know what happens next!

It's kind of cool that the show didn't copy her completely, because I've been surprised at where the books are going instead of knowing everything. Though I have to say I miss Jeremy, though Margret is cute! It also makes me shake my head when people say stuff like "They instantly fell in love, that's dumb." Well DUH! A. It's a vampire book. B. It's a teen book, and C. DUH! Okay, enough duhhhhing. Hahaha. I actually roll my eyes at parts, yes I really, really do, but I like it! Hee hee.

I'm reading it for the fact that it's going to be gooey, romantic and full of vampires and crazy stuff! I'm really, really, really curious how these series ends, so I'm pretty sure I'm gonna end up reading all of them. Nobody tell me who Elena ends up with okay? Lol Pretty sure no one reads these blogs, but heck yah I'm a Vampire Dairy fan!!! Books and T.V Show!!! The Fury

I have author brain. Don't judge the hamster dance

So, I have what I call, "author brain". Where I just randomly think of something for my book and blurt it out loud. I'll look around me and get this sheepish grin on my face when I realized I just said whatever it was out loud. I'm sorry. It happens. I also do this thing where I repeat. I'm sorry if I tell you the same thing 14 times. I have author brain. When an author gets all geeked about their story, they tend to go into this world where everyone wants to hear about there book. (Even if people don't) Just humor us! We have about a million people running through our head aching to be written down. Again, I apologize for breaking out in the hamster dance from time to time.
