Horrid High: Back to Schoolby Payal Kapadia returns with another adventure. Horrid High is no longer the horrid school that it once was – Granny Grit is now principal and has a new fleet of teachers.
But when Granny Grit has to rush to the Amazon, 12-year-old Ferg and his friends are left to figure out the mysterious Grand Plan, dodge Cook Fracas’s food fights and attend classes with some weird teachers. A spirited read.

21 Top Indian Authors to Follow on Twitter
India has a rich literary tradition, especially in the regional languages. Today, more and more Indian authors are making their mark in the Indian and foreign markets with their interesting, unique and excellent work. What the Far Out reviews Horrid High
My opinion on Indian authors took a complete 360 after I read “Horrid High” by Payal Kapadia. The fictional and extremely humorous story revolved around an unwanted child (Ferg Gottin), sent away to a boarding school, and all the interesting characters he meets along the way. To say I enjoyed the book would be an understatement, although I felt sort of guilty to enjoy at the expense of Ferg and his companions.
One of my favorite features of the book would be the characters and their names. Th...

The Swaddle reviews Horrid High
Ferg Gottin could have been a Dimwit, a Lowlife, or a Nincompoop, but he’s not—he’s a Scumbag. But really, Ferg isn’t actually any of these things. These are the names of the houses to which the children of Horrid High are assigned, and they should give you every indication of just how horrid Horrid High really is.
Despite its name and setting, Horrid High is an utterly delightful book about a boarding school for orphaned and unwanted children. Ferg is one of those children, born to parents w...

PlusMinus’n’More reviews Wisha Wozzariter
Wisha Wozzariter by Payal Kapadia is two books in one.
The first is the story of Wisha Wozzariter (Wish-I-was-a-writer), a ten-year old girl who wishes to become a writer. She hates good books more than a bad book because they make her sigh and feel that she could have written them.
One day, as she is reading a book, Bookworm comes out of the book and insists that she write a book. Bookworm takes her to the Marketplace of ideas through the Thought Express and gets her an Imagination balloon (...
