Beloved Shooting Stars

Once upon a twilight streak
I cried upon your name
Like the tear upon my cheek
Across the sky your flame

I wished upon your magic sight
A kiss upon your gleam
With lips a whisper O' so quiet
My silent hopes and dreams

Then you vanished from my sky
Your twilight life so fleeting
It's sad we had to say goodbye
So quickly after meeting

I will come to find you soon
My friends upon night's sky,
Wherever souls are wishfully strewn
Like whispers, when we die.

Open your eyes to your power and beauty

If you are open to receiving the essential nature of life, its intelligence will flow through you like a great river. If a thousand people observe the ripples of water in a stream, they will describe many similarities. Observing the stream of eternal and simple truth is the same for all who look upon the fountainhead of consciousness. Any self-realized being, as opposed to the artificially produced modern “person” -- has access to the dynamic genius which nature gives all beings. Even your b...

The path appears only when you calm your mind

Silence is the sublime refuge of your divine. Silence exposes the highest potential for clarity. In silence there is a perfection which any toil injures. Silence is more than observation; it informs from non-observation. Only in stillness does the imperceivable become discernible. You will only find the profoundly inexpressible in profound silence.

When we keep our silence we gather our power; when we speak we let loose the concentration of quiet reverie. Words are the fallen ruins of silent...

Listening: A Failing Grade for Grammar Nazis, Word Police and Pseudo-intellectual Bullies

A large part of being a good communicator is being a good listener. The purpose of communication is to seek to understand, and to be understood. If you understand what a person is conveying to you, even while they are speaking in a regional dialect, or some form of a sub-cultures' "pigeon" slang, and you penalize them by disregarding their message, then YOU are the one with a communication problem, NOT THEM. If you are so smart, then why can't you discern their intended message?
