Listening: A Failing Grade for Grammar Nazis, Word Police and Psudo-intellectual Bullies

A large part of being a good communicator is being a good listener. The purpose of communication is to seek to understand, and to be understood. If you understand what a person is conveying to you, even while they are speaking in a regional dialect, or some form of a sub-cultures' "pigeon" slang, and you penalize them by disregarding their message, then YOU are the one with a communication problem, NOT THEM. If you are so smart, then why can't you discern their intended message?
