The Man Who Cycled The World
Mark BeaumontCorgi Books
[Borrowed Paperback]
This is by far the most inspiring cycling book that I have read. Mark weaves a fantastic tale about his land speed record cycling around the world. It is well written, educational and wonderfully interesting.

#Morning Poetry
Am swirling around my morning coffee searching for inspiration; the only thing I can find is Dave Bruebeck. He wears size eight shoes.

The Soul Keeper
Book 2 of the Castle TrilogyM. W. Russell
[eBook (won in a raffle)]
Well again for me, this paranormal romance for teens was way out of genre. Fast reading book about ghosts, teenagers and purgatory. A good fun easy read. I plan on buying book three.

I'm Working on a Building
Pip AdamVictoria University Press
[Kindle ebook]
This was a fantastic little read. It is written backwards, which is both confusing and delightful. Reading this book I felt like I was counselling it, looking for signs of its broken childhood, knowing that in the next-previous chapter some dark secret would be revealed. I was not disappointed.
Do not let the order of the chapters detract from Pip Adam's somewhat prophetic voice. My highlight was her chapter about a city recovering from an earthquake. I also really liked and understood the North Korean chapter.
It is a great book for people who like to think and read.

I have that slow slow morning Phil Woods kind of coffee/poetry thing going down. It feels like wearing Skellerup Red Band gumboots.

Doubtful Sound Tour - Mandal review
Kelvin came to our little community on our small island, and gave us something we had never seen before. Just a few people came to the church the evening of Kelvin's gig. We sat and listened as Kel took us on a journey through our emotions. We laughed, interacted with questions and comments and so much enjoyed getting to know Kel's story and views on life. As we left that night, it felt like we had journeyed to Lithuania, New Zealand and Canada. We had met a black poodle, a man claiming to be God and orphans running away. We had seen the landscape of 'The Lord of the Rings', and felt the hospitality of a Lithuanian woman. And finally we had joined in as Kel read beautiful worship to our King and our saviour.
