Movie Review: This Means War

Synopsis

FDR (Chris Pine) and Tuck (Tom Hardy) are covert CIA operatives and best buddies…until they both fall for charming and sexy Lauren (Reese Witherspoon). Their friendship is put to the ultimate test as they wage an epic battle for her affection, using their surveillance skills and an array of high-tech gadgetry — may the best spy win!

I wanted to see this movie when it had first been released, but I’ve heard such bad reviews, I’ve been putting it off forever. Well, it finally came up on...

The baffling anatomy of the male mind

Every day, I either ask my husband how his day went, or if it’s early in the morning, if he has any plans for the day.

I’ve done this on and off for twenty some years.

The other day, I just looked at him, a little miffed (o’kay, maybe a little hurt), that he never asks me. Ever. Instead of getting mad right off the bat, I just out-right asked him why.

You know his answer?

He stopped what he was doing and looked at me and told me a list of 8 things I planned on doing that day. And you know what? H...

What I’m reading…

I’ve had both of these books on my wish list for a while. I finally bought them, but then lost them in the pile of my books. I was looking for a shorter, quicker read this week. Something paranormal. Something that I can get lost in for a few hours. I think both of these books fit the bill.

Here are the blurbs:

If Angels Burn ~

Dr. Alexandra Keller is Chicago’s most brilliant reconstructive surgeon. Michael Cyprien is New Orleans’s most reclusivemillionaire—and in desperate need of Dr. Keller’s...

Review: Magic Without Mercy by Devon Monk

So, you might have noticed that I missed a week on my book reviews. I did read the book on time, but forgot that I had a blog hop scheduled. *blush* I know. Thank goodness they sent a reminder.

But I did read a book this week…like six or seven times. Yeah, you heard me right. They are called edits. I read my book so many times in the last week, my eyes were crossing. But in the end, I finished the book and published it.

So now to the review for last week. We faced off with two urban fantasies:

M...

New Release: The Demon Within

After numerous rounds of edits, my book The Demon Within is finally done!

This book has been in the works for years, so I’m glad to finally get a chance to share the Ruman and Caly’s story about how a tarnished angel and a reformed demon fall in love.

I did a lot of research for this book, so the little tidbits you read about are pull from history. For example, did you know that for decades, people really believed (and still do) in demons? They would put a demon statue in their home for protect...

Angels vs Demons Blog Hop

Welcome to my site and the Angelvs Demon Blog hop!

The age old question for many romance readers is Angels orDemons. Which do you perfer?

As for me,I’m not picky. Ilike them both! I received the very first print copy of my newest book, The Demon Within, Monday. I’m working on last minute edits, but I will have the book available to order this weekend.

I’m so excited. I’ve worked on this book on and off again for a number of years, and I’m thrilled to finally be able to share my book with you. Is...

What I’m reading…

I haven’t been feeling well the last few days, so I’m hoping a littlemurder and mayhem might help. Both these books are part of a long urban fantasy series I’ve been reading.

What I like about both are the pets in the books. Devon Monk gives her characters a pet gargoyle. I love him! How hecame into existance. His little quirks.Everything! While Marjorie Liu added some ‘pet’ demons in form of live tattoos to her books. They are a hoot…if you don’t mind murder and destruction.

Here are the blurb...
