What I’m Reading…
For reaching one of my goals, I’m rewarded myself by reading a book. I need to re-charge my batteries and gain perspective with all the editing I’ve been doing. And what sounds better than a good Urban Fantasy?

Spring is here…
After a few days of some nice weather (and rain), the last of the snowpiles in the yardare officially gone. Yay!
I went shopping the other day and look at what I found in the store:
Aren’t they adorable?! I would have brought one home if I didn’t think my husband would kill me and the dogs/cats would kill the bird.
Writing update: Deep into edits of Electric Moon. Must get back to work…

I Quit!
Reblogging from The Writer’s Guide to E-Publishing.
Happy Tuesday, all! India Drummond is here today with a post I’m sure most of us can easily relate to. Take it away, India!
Last month, an author I’d not spoken to in a while came to mind. She was someone I’d spoken with professionally, we’d read each other’s blogs, and I truly enjoyed her books. I began to wonder if I’d somehow lost another colleague’s posts in the sea of social networking I do every month. (Sadly, it happens.) So, I decided...

Writer’s Cave…
I’ve been stuck in my writer’s cave for the last few weeks. Thankfully, I’m coming to the end of the book. Then, all I have left are the edits. The last chance to improve my work before I send Electric Moon off to my beta readers and editor.
As noted in the picture, I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. I’ve been treading water for a while, so I’m excited to find out how the book will end and begin fixing things in the story.
After months of waiting, spring is finally here. We reached 7...

Ever have one of those days?
The dog actually summed up my feelings exactly…
I’m still not recovered from the cold that I caught last week. To top it off, we are going to be hit with another six or so inches of snow today. Add a little sleet and rain to the mix and it will be a wonderful driving day. We still hadn’t gotten rid of the 8-10 inches we received last Thursday.
Writing is slow, but I am making progress. Raven is tending her wounds after getting into a deadly fight. The results will have unexpected and far reachi...

ABC Castle
I’m a fan of the ABC show Castle. Isn’t this picture gorgeous? I love true crime shows. Though this series is not always accurate, I enjoy the drama.I watched last weeks episode…well, the first seven minutes of it anyway, then I went to bed. (The rest of the show was recorded.)
Hubby finished watching the show. He didn’t understand how I could just go to bed without knowing how it ended. The next day hesaid I would never guess the ending. I took him up on it. For the next five minutes, I told h...

Kitchen Pics…
My kitchen was very dated…meet the 70′s.
Below is a picture where the cat tried to blend into the counter.
She’d done it before. If you turn off the under-lighting, poof! Gone.
Wow, try to take a picture without an animal in the shot.
Yeah…
I’m in desperate need of curtains and decorations for the kitchen.
It’s taking me a while to get used to the new setting. Everything still has the shiny-new look to them yet.
For example, it took Hubby and myself a good twenty minutes to find where the deepfryer...

Review: Blood Winter by Diana Pharaoh Francis
I fell in love with this serieswhen I ran across the first book, Bitter Night, anddevoured it in one sitting. I’ve even pre-ordered this book. I’ve only done that for one other author. When I learned thatBlood Winterwas the last book in the series, I mourned. Then I delayed readingit because I didn’t want it to ever end. This was my choice for last week’s face-off. Be warned, this is a very dark urban fantasy. Delicious!
