Fandom Friday - No Ifs, Ends, or Butts
Sorry, I couldn't resist.
Welcome to another round of Fandom Friday. Today we appreciate the many butts of fandom. Can you find your fave backside below?

So, did you locate your favorite cheeks above? If not, give your top fandom buttocks a shout out in the comments section. I'll admit I've always had a thing for Iron Cheeks. Doctor Butt is nice too but we're missing a couple fine rears from the Janto world, just saying.

Victor Kalinski & Dan Arou/ Point Shot Trilogy - 2016 Rainbow Award Finalists!

Talk about a fantastic way to start your day! I woke up to find the news that Vic and Dan were finalists in the 2016 Rainbow Awards Best Bisexual Contemporary Romance and Fiction Category. Their books - The Point Shot Trilogy - placed in the top three! You can find the listings for the top 5 in this really tough category here:
Reviews and Ramblings 2016 Best Bisexual Contemporary Romance & Fiction
I'm still shocked and deliriously happy. It's an incredible honor and a huge shout out to M/M hockey romance! Of course, Victor's head is now so big Dan and I fear he'll never fit through another doorway again. And, maybe, just this once, he's entitled to be a cocky peacock.
Since I'm reeling in stardust about the award, I'll pass along that next year is going to be a big one for Victor and the Cayuga Cougars. There will be three Cougar books and a Point Shot Trilogy box set coming your way in 2017. Here are the release dates--
Point Shot Trilogy Box Set - Releasing March 1, 2017
Snap Shot - Cayuga Cougars #1 (Mario & Lila's Romance) -Releasing April 6, 2017
Open Net - Cayuga Cougars #2 (August & Sal's Romance) -Releasing August 1, 2017
Title to be Determined - Cayuga Cougars #3 Holiday Story ( Victor and Dan) Releasing December 5, 2017
That's right. Vic and Dan are going to be sharing the ho-ho-ho with you next year! As if I'd be able to not give him another book now that he's a Rainbow Award Finalist. I love him to bits the cocky so-and-so.

Tuesday Tales - Picture Prompt
Hello! It`s time for Tuesday Tales.

Welcome back! This week we have another excerpt from my NaNoWriMo novel, Breakout, which is book #2 in my upcoming Brighton Wood Blades M/M hockey series. This book introduces us to Todd Oleksuk, a defenseman on the Blades who is still deeply closeted, and Lee Odette, a drag queen who will capture and free the heart of Mr. Oleksuk.
Our snippet today takes place as Todd and Lee are driving along a wintry mountain rode to get to the ice rink for a big game. It`s our picture prompt week and the excerpt must reflect the image and be under 300 words. Don`t forget to visit the other talented Tuesday Tales authors. Thanks for stopping by!

“Oh posh,” he sighed with a swish of his hand in the air, “there will be no punching of parents over me. Todd, your daddy will think what he will of me, and of us, when he finds out. Not everyone can appreciate the radiance of men such as we.”I had to smile. “I’m pretty dull compared to you.” Lee chuckled. “Seriously, I am a dim little light bulb who was lucky enough to be allowed to plug himself into one of those movie spotlights that brighten the skies over Hollywood.” “You can plug yourself into my outlet any old time you want,” Lee said then laughed as hard as I did. “God, but you make me feel good.”“That’s my calling. To make men feel good and women envious.”I believed that he did both daily. Hourly perhaps. The following ten minutes were pleasant. Lee chittered and chattered, commenting on everything and anything, even going as far as to say that he had always admired Bob Seger for allowing his song to be used in conjunction with Tom Cruise in his underwear. “The world needs hot young men in undies,” he added just as we pulled into the parking lot at the Blades home ice. There were several cars, mostly the players, but a few that I knew to be our backers. By the side of the building sat the rainbow bus, bright and as beautifully proud of its brilliance as my guest was. Guest. That seemed like a cold word for a man that I had been inside of last night. I parked next to Corbin’s big truck then turned my head to admire Lee’s profile.

Blurb:
Minor league goalie Adam Seiger is a nice guy. He’s kind, cute, and a little quirky (but show me a goalie who isn’t) and he loves to interact with fans. During a meet and greet after a game Adam meets Cason Reyes, a hard-working young man with stunning amber eyes and a smile as sweet as a candy cane. Desperate to see Cason again, Adam does something more than a little naughty.
To add insult to the egg nog, it appears that one little white lie may end Adam’s chance of having a merry Christmas with a new boyfriend. Will he end up with nothing but a lump of coal in his stocking, instead of the man who owns his heart?

Fandom Friday -Epic Coats and The Men Who Wear Them
Since the first time I sat down to write fan fiction about twelve years ago, I was hooked. I still am and proud of it. I thought it might be fun to take Friday and turn it into Fandom Friday - a day for a little laughter and a little love.
Every week we'll have a meme or image from one of the many fandoms so many of us love. We'll follow the picture with a quick question. I'll always share a link to my Fireflies and Fandoms blog and my AO3 page so anyone who wants to check out my fan fiction can do so. So, let's dive right in, shall we?
*~*~*

So, which coat (and/or its wearer) would you choose? Sound off down in the comments. I'd have to go with "The Captain" since it and its sexy wearer are one half of the couple I ship hard. Although "The Doctor" and "The Detective" are close seconds. Really close seconds...

And, as promised, here's a link to my fan fiction blog and AO3 page. I've just started a new Torchwood tale so, if you've a mind, it's the perfect time to leap in and enjoy the ride.

Tuesday Tales - Island
It`s time for Tuesday Tales.

Welcome back! This week we have another excerpt from my NaNoWriMo novel, Breakout, which is book #2 in my upcoming Brighton Wood Blades M/M hockey series. This book introduces us to Todd Oleksuk, a defenseman on the Blades who is still deeply closeted, and Lee Odette, a drag queen who will capture and free the heart of Mr. Oleksuk. Our snippet today takes us back to Todd’s point of view. He and Lee have finally made it to their first romantic night at Todd’s mountain cabin and are sharing a meal and some conversation.
Since this is an M/M romance, there may be some same-sex frolicking taking place as well as mature language. If that offends, now is the time to skedaddle along to another Tuesday Tales offering.
Our word prompt for this week is “Island”.

“My turn. Is driving that big rig hard?” He waved his forked tot in the general direction of my Kenworth out in the driveway. “It’s not as easy as driving a car, but it’s not brain surgery. I’ve always liked driving truck.” I grabbed the ketchup, coated my tater tots, and then offered it to Lee. He declined with a shake of his head. “I got my CDL when I was eighteen and have been behind the wheel of a big truck ever since. I’ve seen every state in this country, some of the islands off Newfoundland, and a lot of Canada. Maybe sometime you could come along on a long haul.” His eyes widened. “Ride along in that truck? Where would we sleep? Motels?” “Nope.” I smeared a couple tots in my glob of ketchup. “There’s a sleeper that would hold two if we cuddled.” He grinned and bobbed his head with enthusiasm. “I would simply love to take a long haul with you! Cuddling in the sleeper sounds incredible. Oh! Do you have a CB? Can I talk on it? I could make up a handle. This is going to be just like Smokey and the Bandit! I’m Sally Fields because I’m adorable and spunky. And you, why you’re Burt the Bandit, driving around stealing all the young men’s hearts.” “Bandit drove the Trans-Am. Snowman drove the rig,” I pointed out. Lee frowned and lobbed a hot tot at me. It missed by a mile and landed on the floor by one of five mousetraps set around the floorboards. “Tough taters,” my guest huffed. “Bandit was sassy and sexy. That old Snowman probably smelled like a hound dog.” “Yeah, he probably did,” I chuckled and let him prattle on about Bandit and bootlegged beer. “Who’s turn is it?” I asked after a couple of minutes of eating and Lee chatter had passed. “You go on ahead,” he said. “I’ve fallen behind on eating because of all my chit-chat.” “I’ve been reading up, you know, on how to be gay.” Lee’s eyes flared at the statement. “Good Lord honey, you can’t go by a book. Just be who and what you are,” he quickly replied. “And where is this ‘How to Be Gay’ book? Is it on Amazon? Are there illustrations? I do love dirty pictures.”“What do you think I am?” I enquired, folding my arms in front of me after pushing my empty plate to the side. “Am I a bottom or top? How is that decided?”He lowered his fork and knife, looked up from cutting his chili dog into bite-sized bits, and pondered a moment. “I would have thought you were a big old top but then we had the great mouse debacle.” I felt a blush creep up my neck. That was one of my biggest secrets and now he knew it, as well as a few others.
