Snap Shot Release Day!
Oh boy, I am so darn excited I can barely sit still long enough to type this!
Finally, the first book in the Cayuga Cougars LGBTQ hockey romance series is out and it's Mario and Lila kicking off this long-awaited series. So may readers have been waiting for this romance, and I'm thrilled to be able to bring it to those faithful fans.
Snap Shot is just the first in what will be at least five books for the Cougars. I hope you enjoy this sexy, funny, emotional tale. I've just fallen in love with Lila and her kilted man. And Mario surely does adore his Lila! And as always, thank you all for your support. It truly means the world to me. *hugs*

Blurb:
Mario McGarrity has been around the block – and rink – more than a few times.
He’s creeping up on retirement age, has some dings and dents, and says what’s on his mind. Not exactly what most would consider a luxury ride, but his beautiful Lila - the transgender woman who stole his heart - loves him like no other woman ever has despite a little rust here and there.
Everything is good - no, great - aside from the distance issue, until a surprise from Lila’s past crops up and moves in with her. Can Mario be the family man that Lila needs, or is this one game the old vet is unable to skate in?

Tuesday Tales - Number
It`s time for Tuesday Tales.

Welcome back! “Number” is our word this week. Today we have more from my current M/F hockey book, Flow, which will be book #5 in the Venom series. In this M/F hockey romance, we’ll get to see the relationship between the Venom goalie coach, Alice Dunlop, and retired Wildcats D-man Bruno Bonbano grow as well as follow the team into their first run at the NAWHL playoffs.
In today’s post, we get to spend more time with the Venom coaching staff. I just love these women!
This story may have erotic scenes, strong social issues addressed and mature language. If those things offend now is the time to move onto another Tuesday Tales blog. Thanks for stopping by!

“I’ll pass that along to Moore when I talk to him tomorrow morning,” Jane replied then glanced at her door when someone rapped on it. Cami stuck her head around the open door and smiled warmly at us. “Cami, come in and join us. Do you drink coffee?”“I sure do. I just wanted to stop in and see if everyone was pleased with the flow of video during the game? Any issues?”“None that I saw. Anything we asked to be pulled up was there quickly and with no issues. We’re going to want some in-depth stuff on that defensive breakdown in the final five by tomorrow if you can,” Jane stated before reaching up to massage her head. Her ponytail looked to be a bit tight. “Oh, sure. I’ll sit down with the others in video under me and we can get that to you by morning. This smells divine. I’ve been trying to cut back since it keeps me up but what with trying to move and the new job, perhaps I need the extra energy.” Cami inhaled the steam curling off her coffee deeply and then sighed. “Heavenly. Does anyone else have anything to request?”“If I asked to see that damn missed call again would I get my ass kicked?” I enquired. Our head coach gave me a dry look. “Yeah, you might. Cami, we’re going to want game tapes ready by midnight. I’m going to bring them in early.” Jane looked back at the woman in the beautiful green hijab.“Sure. I’m going to get the video team onto that now while I wrap up the offensive-zone entries for the past several games.”“Is your husband happy about coming to Philly?” I asked Cami. “He seems to be. He’s a little upset about being left to pack and such, but since he’s retired he has the time.”“What did he do before he retired?” Dot asked while passing a pen to Olaf who had motioned for one. “He was an orthodontist,” she replied. “What is oh-no doughnuts?” Olaf asked, looking up from her notes and numbers to Cami. “They work to treat facial and dental irregularities.” Cami responded with a soft smile. Olaf stared at her openly. “They’re the special dentists who put braces on kid’s teeth.”“Oh! Special dentist for braces. He must make big money to stop working so young.” Olaf sat back in her chair to scratch at her left boob. “Well he’s sixty-five so not so young for retirement,” Cami explained then hustled off, coffee in hand, with promises of game videos for all come morning.“Wow, that’s quite an age difference,” Dot murmured after Cami had left. “She’s got to be early forties, yeah?”“Meh, age is just number,” Olaf tossed out then yawned widely. The yawn spread through us like a wildfire. “If man is good to woman, makes many laughs and orgasms, age is no matters.”“Don’t forget he needs to have a big dick,” Jane interjected. “Or good fingers and tongue,” Olaf replied smooth as ice, her gray eyes dancing with mischief. Dot spewed coffee over the front of her jacket. Jane and I smirked like jackasses eating briars. It never grew old seeing Dot’s spit takes. “God damn it,” Dot chuckled while wiping at the coffee speckles on her sleeve. “I swear you just sit there and wait until you see me take a sip of something and then you set her up to say something hilarious,” Dot playfully bitched, waving her napkin at Olaf and Jane.“Me? No, not me. I’m the hard-as-nails head coach who never smiles. Just ask the players,” Jane responded with a sly wink.

And I got all kinds of excited to see what was trending about Dr. River Song!

Imagine my embarrassment when I read the hashtag more closely and saw that it said --

The team captain and the rookie firefighter never meant to fall in love; but they’ll fight tooth and nail to protect what they have.
Alex Simard, captain of the Ice Dragons hockey team, didn’t intend on rescuing a baby from a burning car. Doing what anyone else would’ve done doesn’t make him a hero. Add the press hounding him, to on-ice injury, warring Russians, and the season from hell, and he’s losing focus. Getting his team to the Stanley Cup is his priority; falling in love isn’t even a footnote on his to-do list.
Jo Glievens, rookie firefighter, never meant to fall in love with a hockey player. Her career is everything to her and right now she doesn’t want to add a man to her life. She has a plan and is sticking to it. But someone is out there planting bombs, destroying lives, and she has to make choices when this criminal's actions hit way too close to home.

Tuesday Tales - Dice
It`s time for Tuesday Tales.

Welcome back! “Dice” is our word this week.
In today’s post, Alice and Bruno are getting a little frisky so be prepared for erotic times that are NTFW by any means!
This story may have erotic scenes, strong social issues addressed and mature language. If those things offend now is the time to move onto another Tuesday Tales blog. Thanks for stopping by!

“I really need to be inside you tonight, Alice,” Bruno stated as I toed off my shoes. I turned on the light in the corner. He stood beside a lovely desk for the guests to use, his broad shoulders sunken. “I don’t want to think of not remembering what it feels like to make love to you.”
“Then don’t think about it.” I went to him, slid my arms around him, and rose to my toes to press my mouth over his. His response was instantaneous. Strong arms wound around me, lifting me from the floor with ease. My legs cinched around his waist as he walked us to the huge bed with the fresh sheets and the teeny-tiny ball of chocolate in gold foil. I held on tight since this move was a little dicey. I wasn’t as thin as I’d been back in my playing days.
He lowered us to the mattress then deepened the kiss, rolling his tongue over mine as he pressed himself firmly between my legs. His erection rode enticingly over my mound, rubbing on the exact place that I wanted to be rubbed. I pushed my fingers into his hair. He nipped at my bottom lip, his hips beginning to rotate wantonly. I arched up, he rolled his hips down. The jolt ran through me, making my nipples hard and my pussy wet.
“Too many clothes,” he said into my neck then continued licking his way down to my blouse. We fumbled and tugged, the buttons catching in my hair when he pulled it over my head. “Sorry, sorry,” he muttered as he tried to get his thick fingers to free the tangled hair from the button.
“Let me,” I panted while tugging to free myself. The button slipped free and my shirt disappeared. As did my bra, pants, and panties. Bruno rolled to his back, his weight making the bed creak just a bit. I settled on his thighs. He cupped my breasts, weighed them, rolled the dark nipples between his fingers while I unbuckled his belt.
“You are so beautiful. I love the color of your skin, and how you always look so damn fierce but not when you’re with me in bed. You glow when I touch you, Alice. You glow and purr and make me feel so much like a man. Did that sound dumb?”
“No, it sounded wonderful.” I freed him from his belt. It hit the floor, the buckle thudding softly when it hit the carpet. “You make me feel special. Feminine and shit.”
“And shit,” he chuckled, the stress and worry lifting from his rugged face. “That’s why I love you. You’re not all frilly or pretending to be something that you’re not.” He inhaled sharply when I unzipped his khakis, the slow descent of the zipper over his stiff prick giving me a thrill as well.

Fandom Friday - Beauty and The X- Beast
Like nearly everyone else on the planet I've been doing some huge movie-going the past couple weeks. I've seen "Logan" and "Beauty and the Beast" as well as the latest John Wick movie. Seeing so many flicks was bound to cause some befuddlement and humorous mashups in Fandomland.

Tuesday Tales - Picture Prompt
It`s time for Tuesday Tales.

Welcome back! This week is our picture prompt week and all posts must be 300 words or under and reflect the chosen image. In this snippet from Flow, Venom #5, we’ll get a wee peek at the coaching staff having a meeting – and some of Olaf’s coffee - before morning skate. This excerpt is from Alice - the goalie coach's - point of view.
It’s super important to me to show that these women do not simply sit around talking about men. They have jobs. Men are shuffled to the back burner when it’s time to talk hockey. I hope you enjoy this little peek into a coach's life!
Thanks for stopping by!

“She’s had two MCL sprains in the past two years. I worry if she gets a direct hit to the knee or turns the wrong way that she’s going to do more than sprain it next time.” Rory stood up and walked to the pot to pour sugar into her coffee, a sure sign that it was right on the other side of industrial strength. Olaf sat in a chair next to Dot, sipping from her cup, and nodding along as the conversation flowed from one aspect of Venom hockey to another. “I’ll do my best with her but I doubt she’ll take kindly to having her TOI tinkered with unless she’s unable to stand on the damn thing. You know hockey players," Dot commented. We all bobbed our heads and said “Uh-huh” in tandem. We should know them. We were them. I’d have acted the same way as Helen. Hell, I had a time or two. Back in my college days I played with a hip flexor injury through the end of the season. Never told anyone until the day I kicked out to block a shot and the pain in my hip had me rolling around my crease in agony. I blocked that shot though and we moved onto the next round of the NCAA playoffs. “Explain to her that we’re only looking to keep her on the ice as much as we can by taking her off. I know that sounds wonky but it’s how it works and she knows that, especially if she’s nursed a sprained knee a few times in the past. If she gets belligerent, I’ll pull her aside,” Jane said.Dot waved a hand in the air. Olaf burped. “Am sorry. Too much garlic on oatmeals.”“Helen Parat would never act belligerently to any coach on this – did you say garlic on your oatmeal?” Dot asked Olaf. The Russian nodded then burped again.“Garlic is good for making sex drives big like bear. I eat on oatmeal and corn flakes. Keeps new boyfriend happy.”“New boyfriend?” Jane enquired. “What happened to the old one?” Olaf coughed something Russian into her coffee mug. “English translation?”

The Face-Off Show - Vic and Dan Interview Mario & Lila from Snap Shot -Cayuga Cougars #1
Welcome to The Face-Off Show! Today Vic and Dan sit down with Mario and Lila, the stars of Snap Shot, for an interview.

I hope you enjoy the following sit-down. I had a blast writing it. I truly adore Lila and Mario as well as the Kalinski-Arou’s. Just one thing…
This is Victor Kalinski. He is/was a hockey player married to a hockey player who spends most of his time with a team of hockey players. Rude talk about sex, genitalia and bodily functions is a given. Foul language and sarcasm are to be expected. If these things knot your knickers it’s best to leave now because Victor does not hold back.
*~~*~~*
Vic taps mic – “Is this thing on?” *glances at V.L. seated off stage and gets a thumbs-up* “Oh cool, okay, so Donald Trump, Mike Pence, and Steve Bannon walk into a gay bar…”
Dan – “Uh, Vic, I’m not sure you should finish that joke.”
Vic – “That was the joke. Get it? Because those three would never walk into a – You know when you have to explain a political joke it kind of loses all its punch.”
Dan – “I’m Canadian. We’re just standing in our houses eating Timbits and watching the politics down south through our windows, you know?”
Vic- “Lucky fucks have Trudeau and we have to deal with the above-mentioned spawns of Beelzebub.”
Dan – “You want I should hum our national anthem?”
Vic – “Can you hum it on my dick? What was that noise? Oh, it’s V.L. waving her hands around trying to get my attention. Does she look pasty to you? Yeah, yeah, I see you tapping on your watch. Guess we better get to it then. This month we have two people who Dan and I call friends, like real friends, not the shady friends who only latch onto you then drop you as soon as you’re sent to Cayuga. Yeah, Bertram at the Kinko’s, I’m looking at you, you miserable cockroach dropping.”
Dan – “Okay, so while Vic glowers at someone who can’t see him because this ain’t TV, I’ll welcome Mario and Lila out.”
Vic hits the phone lying on the table beside his chair. “My Girl” by The Temptations plays. Mario and Lila leave Vic and Dan’s kitchen and sit down in the makeshift stage in the guy’s living room.
Vic- “I picked that song for you guys.”
Lila – “It’s a lovely tune, Victor.”
Vic- “Yeah, I know. So, you two look good. Am I supposed to play Joan Rivers – bless her fashion criticizing heart – and tell everyone what we’re wearing too, V.L.? For Christ’s sake. Fine. So McGarrity is in some Scottish t-shirt that says something about the size of his shillelagh or something…”
Mario – “Uh, dip shit? A shillelagh is a walking stick that’s associated with Ireland.”
Vic – “Your point? Oh, Ireland and Scotland. Different. Got it. So, the he has a shirt and his skirt is purple. Lila is in a pink dress and looks foxy as hell. There, fashion corner is over. What? Oh, for fuck sake V.L.! Me and Dan are in jeans and Cougar’s sweatshirts. Can we end the clothing bit now? Thank you. Man, authors are so freaking bossy.”
Dan – “Here, have a Coke.” *pulls a can out of the ice tub and lobs it at Vic* “While he gets happy again, let’s talk about your new book coming out on April 6. What’s it like to have a book all about you?”
Lila – “Well, of course it is very exciting. I never thought that people would respond to Seamus and me as they did.”
Vic – “Let’s tackle that Seamus thing. Why do you call him that instead of Mario?”
Lila – “It just rolls off the tongue better when one is in the throes of passion. Also, I like having a unique moniker for him that’s mine and mine alone.”
Mario – “That’s my girl. Always so fancy and sexy.” *reaches over to squeeze her thigh*
Vic – “Which leads me to ask her -yet again – what the hell she’s doing with a thundering ass clown like you.”
Lila – “Oh now Victor, I know deep down you love Seamus as much as I do. As for the nicknames, don’t you and Daniel have pet names for each other?”
Dan – “Oh yeah we do. I call him ‘Babe’ and he calls me ‘Sweets’.
Vic – “Okay, see the point of this here show is me asking the guests questions. Not the other way around. So, if we can get back to me asking? Thank you. One of the members of V.L.’s readers group over on the Book of Face, Emily, wanted to know how you and the big doofus in the kilt met.”
Mario – “I’ll take this one, baby, if you don’t mind?”
Lila – “Not at all, Seamus.”
Mario – “We met one night when the Cougars were playing in Scranton. Fate kind of tossed us into the same bar. She was sitting there sipping on some sweet fruity drink, long legs crossed, and looking as fine in her red dress as I had ever seen a woman. I had to get closer, you know? Smell her, maybe talk to her. I offered to buy her a drink. She gave me a long once-over, leaned in real close, and whispered ‘I always did want to discover what a Scotsman wears under his kilt’ and that, as they say, was that. She found out and I never could get her out of my head afterward. I think I might have fallen in love with her a little bit that night and just didn’t realize it until I saw her again later.”
Vic – “That was when we shoved the fist of revenge right up Prescott’s homophobic ass sans lube. Good times, good times.”
Dan – “So tell us a little about Snap Shot, your book that’s coming out in a couple weeks. We know that it’s the first of the Cayuga Cougars series but is there anything you can tell us that won’t spoil the whole book?”
Lila – “I think it’s safe to say that while Snap Shot is a hockey book, it’s also a family tale as much as it is a sports romance.”
Mario – “Yeah, I agree with that. There’s a ton of family drama, laughter, hot sexy times with my woman, as well as friendship and ice time.”
Dan – “Cool! I won’t probe too much about the book so I don’t ruin things for the readers. How important is it, do you think, that this series kicks off with a bisexual man and a transgender woman as the lead couple?”
Lila – “I think it is of the utmost importance. Every day we see the rights of trans people being trampled. Students now are no longer protected in schools, trans men and women are beaten and killed at alarming rates. So much of this anger and hatred is based on fear. People are afraid of what they do not understand. This is why it’s so important to have people read about trans characters. Get to know them, grow to love them. Only through love, information, and understanding can we allay the fears of the uninformed.”
Mario – “That was so beautifully said, baby.”
Vic – “Hashtag representation matters. Lila, for serious, if this galoot ever decides to act like a dick-head, you come hang out with me and Dan.”
Mario – “You got no worries about that. Trust me, I know what kind of sweetness I got. I ain’t fucking this up for nothing.”
Lila – “You boys are too dear.” *leans over to press a kiss to three cheeks.
Vic – “Wow, well I guess this is a good place to wrap things up. Remember to add Snap Shotto your Goodreads Want-To-Read shelf using this linky-link right here...
Snap Shot - Cayuga Cougars #1 on Goodreads
There will be no preorders so make sure you put that red circle on your calendar for 4/6 so you can grab your copy. Who are we looking at next on The Face-Off Show, Danny Boy?”
Dan – “This is going to be cool! Looks like we’ll be having Whitney Beaupré of the Philadelphia Venom on next. She’s the star of an F/F novella, Playmaker, coming out on May 5th.”
Vic- “Nice! More LGBT hockey goodness. Oh fuck, I sounded like V.L. there. Shit. Now I know it’s time to end this show. See you next month. Maybe. If I feel like it.”
Dan – “We’ll be here. No worries.” *winks at reader*

Tuesday Tales - Lemon
It`s time for Tuesday Tales.

Welcome back! “Lemon” is our word this week. Sorry I missed last week but I was working on edits for Snap Shot. I’m back this week with more from my current M/F hockey book, Flow, which will be book #5 in the Venom series. In this M/F hockey romance, we’ll get to see the relationship between the Venom goalie coach, Alice Dunlop, and retired Wildcats D-man Bruno Bonbano grow as well as follow the team into their first run at the NAWHL playoffs.
In today’s post, Alice and Bruno are having dinner with family and friends at the Black Boar Inn, a trendy sports bar/pub owned by several Wildcats players.
This story may have erotic scenes, strong social issues addressed and crude language, these are hockey players after all. If those things offend now is the time to move onto another Tuesday Tales blog. Thanks for stopping by!

I spotted my group right off. They were seated under one of Bruno’s old Wildcats jerseys encased in glass and hanging on the wall. Steph spotted me and waved. My brother craned his head and smiled as I approached. Happiness radiated out of him. And that was because of Stephanie. I still wasn’t keen on the huge age difference, I suspected it would become problematic if they remained together. But, I’d come to see that while Stephanie might be a young woman she was not flighty or silly. That helped with my concerns a great deal. Didn’t erase them but it helped.Bruno stood up and pulled out my seat. The other men rose as well.“You look nice, babe,” Bruno whispered into my ear as I wiggled around him to take my seat.“Sweet talker,” I replied then sat down. Viviana pushed a glass of wine to me.“Here, take this to fortify yourself. The place is packed with puck bunnies who, it seems, are all desperate to latch onto a hockey player be he current or retired.”I scanned the packed pub/eatery and yes, I could spy a few women making eyes at our table. “I’m not a player. Can I have a prof bunny?” Greg asked as I sipped the white wine Viv had shoved my way. “You already do,” Stephanie replied and batted her lashes. Greg laughed then pressed a kiss to the back of her hand. “They are harmless, Viviana,” Alain said then passed me the basket of bread. If I had to guess, I’d say the puck bunnies were cruising Alain, and who could blame them? Lessard was young, rich, famous, French-Canadian, and handsome. Black curls and hazel eyes, the young man was tall and lanky, quick to smile, kindhearted, a staunch animal rights activist, and a coach for special needs and summer youth hockey leagues. Also, he rarely drank. Tonight, he was nursing a soda with a slice of lemon. You could hear the ovaries popping all over the damn bar. No wonder Viviana, who was eleven years his senior, got a tad persnickety about all the female attention her fiancé got. Alain, to his credit, never encouraged the drooling. He was always attentive to ‘His Viviana’ and his love for her oozed out of him. “And they lack your spirit.”“Mm, spirit isn’t what that last one was rubbing on your arm during that selfie,” Viviana sighed then leaned in to peck her man on his cheek. “Her spirits was much smaller than yours,” he countered smoothly, drawing a quick smile from Viv. The server arrived to take our orders. The conversation floated along nicely, the meal was delicious, and the bunnies stayed away as we dined. A few couples came over to get Alain’s autograph as we ate, but the defenseman was gracious even then. We lingered over dessert and coffee.
