But assets are scarce in Germany, and the only real option I had was the cows down the road. The problem is, how do you make a quartet of cows lounging in a shack of rotting hay remotely worth watching?

Maine’s lighthouses, which once served as saviors along the seacoast, are in no way a forgotten feature. All but three are still standing, and only nine are no longer functioning. Of the ones that are still operating, most are maintained as heritage sites, and others are owned and maintained privately. Some are only accessible by water.

One of the best campgrounds to stay in Zeeland, MI is Dutch Treat. Just ask anybody who seems to know the town, and they will tell you that Dutch Treat is one of the best places to go, especially for the happy aura and friendly staff.

Whale Sharks on Fire?!

Not quite the case. There a few places around the world where one can get up close and swim alongside the largest fish in the sea, the whale shark. It was promise made by Mom. She said she’d take me anywhere in the world to ring in 16. No rules. No boundaries. Just a family, some cake, and maybe a flight or two.

Postcard from Osios Loukas Monastery in Greece

Walking into a Greek Orthodox monastery in Greece throws a curtain of serenity over all who enter. There is simply no need to tell anyone to quiet down, although we are instructed by a monk to stay silent once inside. The building looked like a mere small stone building from the outside.
