Sequels are a pain

I've tried to write a sequel to The Book of Fire but I got stuck on it. That was two years ago. Poor Cressida is currently languishing in limbo (in the book she's trapped on an interdimensional train which is about to blow up). The story is epic and brilliant and starts a massive story arc that reaches into the rest of the series (6 books) but I can't seem to be able to write it. So then I went on to write The Fall, which is my best work to date. I deliberately didn't try to write a sequel to that as I didn't want to end up hating it when I stalled on that. So now I've started on The Fall sequel; the first chapter is titled "The Sky Is Falling" and if it was ever a Hollywood film that first sequence alone would cost 50 million dollars. Intrigued? You'll have to wait until Septemberish to find out.

My very first blog - the best thing since sliced bread

What to say first...Thanks for anyone who read any of my books or short stories, even if you thought they were awful and made you feel sick. I like people to read my stuff. It means I'm not doing it for nothing.
