If You’re an Author, You Probably Suffer From This
Based on my last post and the feedback I received, I can only come to one conclusion:
You, like many authors, probably have a condition I call
‘Salesasufferinitis’ (sales-a-sufferin’-itis)You probably catch it monthly or, like me, have had a decade long bout of it.
Whether you’re new at self-publishing or you’ve been at it for years, everybody’s story is different; and I’m not just talking about our books…I mean each author’s...

KDP Select…an Experiment
In a previous post I stated that it was a difficult decision, but that I was going to opt out of KDP Select for a period of time, to see if my sales would increase. There are a few reasons for this:
1. KDP Select free days, for me, have fizzled. Free downloads have proved unsuccessful for exposure, after-free sales spikes, and reviews.
2. Readers have been asking if my books are available on other digital platforms such as Kobo, Nook, and Smashwords; therefore, I assume I’m ignoring potential...

That is Not My Book Cover
First of all, in my opinion, hats off to all book cover designers. I’ve tried and tried to create an eye-catching one myself, and man, is it difficult. So, just to let you know, the cover image you see here…
That is not my book cover
It’s just a temporary one. Allow me to explain.
When you’re getting ready to release a book, it is important to have a cover already created, but you can’t always have it that way. Book cover designers are busy people, if they’re good that is, so you often have to b...

It seems like Jacob has become the latest victim of a pandemic economic snowball effect.
Soon, Jacob meets Walter, a supervisor for a county park. Walter takes him under his wing and employs him at a vast public outdoor recreational area. Unwelcome by pre...

Nostalgic Feelings
In a recent Facebook post, I expressed certain nostalgic feelings, and received a number of comments in regards to my thoughts. I thought I would share this post with you all.
I miss the good old days before cell phones and internet, when people would actually pick up a phone and dial a land line (when it was called your home phone), instead of watching Facebook statuses to know how someone is doing.
I miss life before texting, when you would actually talk to people daily instead of being updat...

I’d Forgotten What’s Important About Writing, Then Someone Reminded Me
It’s such a tough thing being a writer. I hear myself saying that a lot lately. And I asked myself yesterday, why? Why is it so difficult?
And the truth is, it’s not. Not to the writers who really want to be writers.
Let me explain. My latest release I pulled out all the stops for. I purchased so many promotional packages I’ve lost count. And the truth is, I haven’t got much to show for it. From only one perspective: my wallet.
If I look at what I’ve accomplished with my writing career, I’d have...
