#CharacterInterview Alexi on Jesse, her Hero to Swoon From from WILD IRISH RIDE by Jennifer Saints

Alexi tingled as she looked at the rugged face and chiseled chest of the man who’d just saved her from falling. Half a day’s stubble covered his rough jaw, and his deep sea-blue eyes, crinkled at the corners from the sun, warily assessed her then stared at her mouth. He was hard and smooth all over, she thought studying how the nuances of light and shadow played upon his muscles. Her gaze drifted lower, following the dark line of silky hair as her fingers tingled with the need to touch.   ...

In January, I joined Mina Esguerra's #buqosteamyreads class. The aim was to write a steamy romance in a few months. I really got into the class camaraderie and wrote and published my...

Will Santa bring Christmas Flirt down the chimney this year? #amwriting #amediting

Earlier this month, I decided to challenge myself to writing a publishing a steamy Christmas novella (42,000 words) by Christmas. Last night, my beta readers gave me an earful, and I have stuff to change. But it's all for the better. Then it's editing and formatting. Will I make it by Christmas? Fingers crossed. I still have cooking, cleaning, present wrapping to do too. Watch this spot on Christmas Day to see if I succeeded. Meanwhile, may all your Christmas preparations be awesome and fun!

#BookReview ART OF LOVE - Book #5 Heroes to Swoon For Boxed Set by Michele Shriver #romance

Title: The Art of Love
Author: Michele Shriver
Rating: 5 out of 5 stars

Review:
What a sweet story that makes me believe in love all over again.

Hayden Shaw is like a guardian angel to Chelsea Matthews, the girl who doesn't trust me because she has a horrible, manipulative father.

But Hayden, in all his innocence, and goodness, shows Chelsea what it's like to be loved.

This story is light and easy to read and gives a glimpse into the world of art, as both Chelsea and Hayden strive to make their drea...

#BookReview My Japanese Husband Thinks I'm Crazy by Grace Mineta

My Japanese Husband Thinks I'm Crazy: The Comic Book: Surviving and thriving in an intercultural and interracial marriage in Tokyo My Japanese Husband Thinks I'm Crazy: The Comic Book: Surviving and thriving in an intercultural and interracial marriage in Tokyo by Grace Mineta

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I love this light-hearted examination into a cross-cultural marriage. Grace Mineta has a great sense of humor and such funny comics. She observes so many things about the Japanese culture and has the ability to distill them into insightful yet humorous tidbits. For example, did you know there are bunny cafes where people go to...

#BookReview Never Just Friends by Mina Esguerra #contemporary #romance

Never Just Friends Never Just Friends by Mina V. Esguerra

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

There's an emotional distance in this story that's palpable and disturbing.

Lindsay and Jacob were friends back in college before Jacob took off to be a movie star. Now Jacob is back as a consultant to Lindsay's environmental project. Seems this is something he wanted to finish since he dropped out of environmental sciences.

That said, the story didn't feel romantic enough. It was very calculated and measured. Each of them had past...
