Please enjoy this excerpt from Zombie Candy, a genre-bending mystery by Frederick Lee Brooke. Then read on to learn how you can win huge prizes as part of this blog tour, including $550 in Amazon gift cards, a Kindle Fire, and 5 autographed copies of the book.
They sit at long tables under grape arbors. Heavy bunches of grapes hang from the vines. An eight-piece dance band in white tuxes and black bow ties plays tunes from every decade. Heavy silver dessert forks and coffee spoons rest untouched on the linen tablecloth. She can’t eat another bite. All the glasses, at least, she has used: white wine, red wine, water.
A light breeze comes up. It feels heavenly on her face. With nightfall, the heat has gone out of the air. The heat must be trapped in these old stone walls — the walls of the farmhouse, the walls surrounding the vineyard. The aroma of fresh herbs floats from a nearby garden, rosemary, and mint, she thinks as she watches people dancing. The bride, her beautiful white dress with the daring silk bodice; the groom’s parents, a man with close-cropped gray hair and a red rose in his lapel, and his wife in a shimmering blue dress that looks specially made by an Italian designer.
She keeps one eye on the young man in the navy suit with the green silk tie. He looks like something Michelangelo might have sculpted, then breathed life into. This young man knows everyone here, and has danced every dance for the last hour. But he’s dancing with both older and younger women, probably cousins, friends, the mothers of cousins and friends. She has no idea who he is.
She feels outclassed in her red silk dress from Bloomingdale’s. She had worn the same dress at a wedding in June in Chicago. No one here has ever seen it. If there are any more weddings this fall, she will just have to go shopping in Siena or even Florence, that’s all there is to it.
 “May I have this dance?”
Like a vision, Michelangelo man stands beside her. Has somebody cast a magic spell here? How did he sneak up on her like that? She didn’t even notice the song had ended. Or that another one had started.
“I’m not much of a dancer.”
“We’ll see.” He tugs her hand.
“Really, you don’t have to.” He obviously feels a duty to make sure every woman in the place gets at least one dance.
“Of course I don’t have to. I’ve danced with all the women I was obligated to dance with. Now I want to dance with you.”
She doesn’t need more arm-twisting than this. He leads her to the dance floor. The band is playing a quiet song from the 1940s, she thinks, something familiar. Grape arbors surround the dance floor and fill the air with sweet perfume. He turns and puts one hand around her waist. “My name is Giancarlo,” he says, switching to Italian.
“Candace,” she says. “I’ve been here for three weeks. I can’t believe I’m at this beautiful wedding.”
 “Your Italian is marvelous.”
Your lips are marvelous, she thinks. Your curly hair, the color of black coffee, and your handsome chiseled face are marvelous too. But you can’t say such things to a man you’ve never met before. Not in Tuscany. At least not before the end of the first dance. He glides around the floor, leading her with slight shifts in his weight, slight pressure with his hands. Her feet know where to go, just as her mouth knows how to form the words.
“We don’t have weddings like this in Chicago. The food ... the music ... the grapes.”
“My uncle’s house is nice,” Giancarlo agrees. “But I am sorry for Lucia. She has married a playboy. I do not think they will be happy.”
“They certainly look happy.”
Giancarlo makes a face. “I should not talk about the details. I know him. I’ve known him all my life, and he will never change. I tried to talk to my cousin, but she is in love and blind. What can we do?”
Giancarlo’s smile, Candace realizes, has a hypnotizing effect. Thank God a fast dance is starting, the Bee Gees. He makes no attempt to bring her back to the table, merely releases his hold on her waist.
“You are a beautiful dancer,” he says when the Bee Gees song ends. The band takes a break. Everyone is leaving the dance floor. Her heart sinks. Somehow she has managed to cling to him for two dances, something no woman before her had managed. Now he will bring her back to her table, his duty done. He will go back to his people.
“Thank you for the lovely dances.”
“Come, let’s get some fresh air. I’ll show you around,” Giancarlo says. And the really amazing thing is he doesn’t let go of her hand.

Book Review: Accountable to None

Glorious revenge, the dish known as best served cold. Audra Tanner has waited for five years to invite her unwitting guests to her feast of just desserts and now her dinner party approaches.
Audra was a brilliant CPA that for years, worked the grueling hours her job demanded as she made her way from lowly grunt auditor to a minority partner at a prestigious accounting firm located in the southwest. Her dedication took a tremendous toll on her not only mentally, but physically as well, and culminated the night that she met with the sadistic managing partner, Olin Kemper, to discuss her promotion to equity partner. That night, Audra learned that to become part of the ‘elite’ at Winscott & Associates required much more than she was willing to give. Unfortunately, that knowledge came too late and partnership was granted as a reward for her silence after her violent beating and rape.
Five years later, Audra is now an entirely different creature at work, a shell of her former self that wears the guise of partner during the day yet retreats at night to her hidden self as she plots her revenge on not only her rapist, but all those in power at the firm who knew what Olin had done to her, yet did nothing to stop him, as they were immersed in their own corrupt behaviors. Now head of the IT department and a self-taught hacker, Audra has spent the last five years perusing the firm’s computers, searching and digging through the mounds of encrypted words for anything that she can use to allow her the opportunity to exact revenge on all those responsible for her pain.
What she finds changes the course of not only her life, but everyone else’s as well, as her research leads her to the impending demise of the firm as well as an unsolved murder of a local college girl over thirty three years ago, both which stem from the monstrous hands of Olin. In her climactic confrontation with all the partners, Audra eviscerates all their hidden deceptions as she finally obtains her long awaited revenge and rocks the firm to its core.

My Review

Ashley has a WONDERFUL idea that really made me want to sink into this books and see how it all turns out. Sadly I was hoping for something more rushing and making me really sit on the edge of my seat. It was mostly a predictable choice of actions or I have a weird sinister revenge set mind.
We all have something we want Revenge for...but how many actually go for the revenge? What would drive you over the edge into action instead of just thinking about it? Follow Audra as she went from disaster to revenge.  5 years of ideas and plotting.

Video Game Review: Assassin's Creed 2

Part of the Assassin's Creed Series
Available on:
PS3, XBOX 360, Mac, Windows
Ratings:      BBFC: 15    ESRB: M    OFLC: MA15+    PEGI: 18    USK: 16

Plot/Synopsis:
Assassin's Creed II begins immediately after the events of the first game in 2012; Desmond Miles is still trapped by Abstergo Industries (the modern-day face of the Knights Templar) after being forced to use the Animus device to revisit genetic memories of the Assassin Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad, and has discovered prophetic warnings from Subject 16 (a previous captive) describing the end of the world. He is soon rescued by Lucy Stillman, a mole for the Assassins within Abstergo, who takes him to meet two other Assassins, historian Shaun Hastings and computer expert Rebecca Crane. They request that Desmond use their version of the Animus, dubbed the Animus 2.0, to relive memories of another Assassin, Ezio Auditore da Firenze, to train Desmond in the ways of the Assassins through the "Bleeding Effect" of the Animus. During his exposure, Desmond finds himself briefly struck by a puzzling memory of Altaïr and his lover, a former Templar named Maria Thorpe, who became pregnant with his child. It is also revealed that apart from training Desmond as an Assassin, the Assassins also wish to find out more information about the foretold "Vault". Desmond also finds various glyphs left by Subject 16 in the Animus, which, when decoded and assembled, form a brief video of a man and woman, "Adam" and "Eve", running through a futuristic setting called "Eden". The video ends with the binary for "EDEN" (00100101 00100100 00100101 00101110).
Assassin's Creed II's plot includes the fictional depictions of historical characters including Niccolò Machiavelli and Rodrigo Borgia, later known as Pope Alexander VI.
Ezio's memories begin during the Renaissance in the 15th century, where his family is ensnared in a political plot, and his father and brothers are hanged. Ezio, following his father Giovanni's last advice, finds his father's Assassin tools, and flees the city with his mother and sister to the safety of his uncle Mario's villa in the countryside. Mario assists Ezio in discovering the people behind the conspiracy, the search leading Ezio from Florence, to San Gimignano, Forlì, Venice and eventually to Rome. As he identifies and assassinates more and more political figures, Ezio also gains several allies, including Niccolò Machiavelli and Leonardo da Vinci, the latter of whom helps Ezio improve his equipment using schematics found in Altaïr's Codex pages. Eventually, Ezio identifies the mastermind of the plot: the Spaniard Rodrigo Borgia, who ultimately sought to bring down the Medici family in Florence with the help of the Pazzi family and the Doge of Venice. Ezio finds Borgia in possession of the Apple—a similar Piece of Eden that Altaïr had recovered centuries ago—and learns that Borgia believes himself to be "the Prophet" that will lead the Templars to a fabled "Vault". Ezio is able to confront Borgia with the help of his allies and recover the Apple, but Borgia flees before he can be killed. Ezio's allies reveal they are all Assassins, and see Ezio as their Prophet, allowing him to join their ranks. After this memory, the modern Assassins discover that several years of Ezio's memories are inaccessible from the Animus. Desmond can only revisit those starting in 1499, where Ezio and the Assassins plan to attack Borgia (now Pope Alexander VI) at Vatican City. Ezio corners Borgia and strikes him down, but refuses to kill him, as he knows that it will not bring back his family.  Ezio uses the Apple and the Papal cross (which is also a Piece of Eden called the Staff), and discovers the entrance to the Vault. Inside, he is astounded when a holographic figure, calling herself Minerva, appears. Speaking directly to Desmond and those monitoring him in 2012, she explains that she was part of a far more advanced society that initially co-existed along with the early humans on Earth before they faced each other in war. A global catastrophe occurred that nearly wiped out both sides, and the survivors joined together to construct "temples" across the Earth to allow humans to prevent a similar catastrophe in the future. Before the hologram disappears, she warns Desmond—by name—that "the rest is up to you".
Shortly after recovering this memory, Desmond and the others are forced to flee with the Animus 2.0 from their location as Abstergo troops surround it. There, they encounter Warren Vidic, who flees when Desmond and Lucy deal with the troops. As the team heads towards a new safehouse, Lucy explains that there are newly-discovered weaknesses in the Earth's magnetic field; a solar flare striking this weakness would cause a similar level of global destruction as described by Minerva. Desmond resolves to help the Assassins find these temples, and prepares to re-enter the Animus, knowing that Ezio may hold the answers they seek.

My Review:
I personally LOVE this game. However, it didn't hit the 5 star rating because personally I wish it would have let me do more. Like upgrade or open shops to a higher level or in other cities. Or maybe I would have liked if I didn't have to go back to the villa after every mission to empty the chest. It really should have been bigger. I mean come on. Who only holds 43 or whatever thousand coins in a chest? Surely there could have been more lol.
Anyway, the game is great. You follow the mission from start to finish. Learning about being an assassin and growing your skills up till taking down the people that killed your family. Along the way you have 'side missions' you collect glyphs that show you the truth behind what you've been told and seen. You collect feathers in honor of your brother who was hung for no other reason then to get your family out of the way. You collect statues to place around the villa. You collect Assassin medallions to unlock the Assassin armor.  You do Assassin mission and deliver messages for money. Collect treasures scattered around the city and protected by guards. And you collect Kodex pages that will unlock a mystery.
There truly is hours of things to do on this game. Jumping from rooftop to rooftop and exploring the city and its crocked leaders. Helping the people that need it and bringing honor back to your family line.

This isn't a very 'graphical' game in the way of blood and gross stuff. But depending on your actions it can become a very fighting game. You fight enemies on your missions, if you are bad in public you will fight guards coming to punish you for being bad, and on side missions you fight. Also if the little singing people get on your nerves to much you can kill them. However that does bring up the wanted rating on your head but sometimes you just can't take it anymore.

I myself tend to be a Trophy Hoarder. Yes I admit it. I love trophies.
In Assassin's Creed 2 you can get a total of 51 Trophies for PS3 and 50 Trophies for Xbox 360 (The Master Assassin platinum trophy is only for PS3).

Blog Tour for Telesa

Photobucket

Author
Lani Wendt Young

I was born and raised in Samoa. I went to university in the USA and New Zealand, studying English Literature, Women's Studies and Education. Back in Samoa I worked as a secondary school English teacher for 7 years and did lots of writing in between for the local newspaper and for myself. My short fiction has been published in Samoa, NZ, Australia and the UK. My collection of short stories "Sleepless in Samoa" won the 2011 USP Press Fiction Award. I also write stories for children that are used in primary school reading programs. In 2009 I was commissioned by Hans Joe Keil to research and write the narrative non-fiction book 'Pacific Tsunami Galu Afi'. The book was funded by the Australian Govt Aid program and all book sale profits go back to tsunami survivors who were interviewed for the record. My book 'TELESA The Covenant Keeper' is the first in a YA urban fantasy series and it was launched in Oct 2011. I'm married to Darren Young (who is probably the most patient and most hottest man alive) and we have five children ranging in age from 4 to 16yrs. We are now based in New Zealand but get to go home to Samoa enough to keep me brown. (and broke.) I blog about the misadventures of a (slightly demented) Domestic Goddess over at Sleepless in Samoa.

YA Fantasy Romance

Date Published: June 2012

Synopsis:
Leila returns to the land of her birth in search of family and instead discovers she is heir to a fiery elemental birthright...all while navigating through the drama of a new high school with the help of her new best friend "Simone daahling" - a boy with flawless makeup and the catwalk style of Kate Moss. She is introduced to the national sport of rugby and meets an irritating boy that would be much easier to hate if he didn't have chipped emerald eyes that are always laughing at her and a glorious golden smile. (The glistening, bronzed abs and Pacific warrior tattoos don't help either.) There's hate, love, jealousy, volcanoes and lots of delicious Samoan food in Leila's coming-of-age journey as she realizes that ancient Pacific myths of elemental spirit women Telesa, contain more truth than fiction. Secrets are revealed and things get blown up as Leila must choose between sisterhood and the boy she loves. Can their love stand against the Covenant Keeper?

There are many different kinds of love. All of them require sacrifice. Who will give everything for the one they love?

A thriller-romance with a difference. If you enjoyed Twilight, then you will be enthralled by Telesa as it blends the richness (and humor) of Pacific mythology into a contemporary young adult love story that will stay with you long after you have turned the final page.

" Tired of vampires and werewolves? TELESA has a supernatural element but a unique one... Like Air Benders and X-Men combined. Way cool. The Telesa women are an environmental terrorist group that wield their elemental powers with a fierce beauty and devastating impact..."

~*~*~*~*~ Preview ~*~*~*~*~

Nafanua regarded me with pity in her eyes. “Leila, this is a part of you. This is who you are. I’m sorry, your powers are not going to go away, no matter how much you may want them to.”
I was hostile. “How the hell do you know that?”

Nafanua did not speak. She stood and walked the few steps out the open front doors and down the verandah steps. I followed her, confused as to her intentions. Almost lazily, she beckoned with her right hand and out of a blank blue sky, thunder clapped loud enough to make me jump. Another hand flicked gracefully and white light jagged, crackled and hissed as lightning seared the ground beside her. I gripped the verandah rails for support, my mind struggling to accept what I was seeing. Nafanua spun in a soft circle and the lightning burned out a path around her. When the circle was complete she stopped and stepped out of the smoke, brushing a stray piece of cindered grass off her skirt. She looked straight at me.

“I know because I am telesā. And you are my daughter. I am matagi. Storm. Air. Wind. Lightning. You are fanua. Earth. Blessed with earth’s fire. And your gift is not going to go away, no matter what you do or where you live. It’s part of who you are and the sooner you accept that, the sooner you can get the help you need to make sure that you don’t hurt anyone. Unless you want to that is.” She half smiled and walked slowly towards me. I slid to sit on the wooden step.

The morning sunlight danced over the garden and a blue kingfisher sat on the wood railing and regarded me with dark eyes. It was supposed to be another day in paradise. Yesterday I had kissed a beautiful boy that a girl like me could only dream about. Today, here I was, watching the woman who was my mother call down lightning from the sky and burn circles of fire in the grass.

☼ REVIEW ☼ I love the authors ability to describe Samoa. I myself have never been but through this book I can picture the magical beauty it holds there. The story really pulls you in but I had some issues in the middle as it seemed to drag on a bit. But eventually the story picked back up. As the story unfold you become engulfed with the characters and their relationship as it builds and develops. The end leaves you with a good amount of questions and kinda just bluntly ENDS but I guess that pulls you towards wanting to get the second book of this trilogy so you can get the answers you so desperately want and need.
Recommended for anyone that wants a book that pulls you in and doesn't let go. Perfect for a relaxing afternoon. You won't want to be disturbed.

Kari Peterson was born in November of 1979.  She graduated from Columbia Basin College with a degree in Computer Science, then transferred to WSU where her next degree awaits her.  She currently lives in Washington State with her husband, three sons, one male cat, one male guinea pig, and two fish... whom she is certain are male as well.

Romantic Suspense
Date Published: 4/19/12
Synopsis:  Kaitlynn O’Conner was the elusive woman of many a man’s dreams.  Lucky for forensics guy Nate Morby, he was the man of her dreams too.  When he arrives at her house and finds evidence that she’s been kidnapped, he believes there is a connection to a case he is currently working on.  The most gruesome case he’s had to deal with in years.  Time is of the essence as Kaitlynn fights for her life, and Nate fights to find her.

My Review
This book had a bit of romance, a bit of thriller, and a bit of mystery. But they didn't all combine completely. But it was a very enjoyable read and I do recommend you pick up a copy yourself.

There is an instant connection between Kaitlynn and Nate. But it is the perfect couple that you find yourself pulling for them even with the quick connection.

As the story continues I found I didn't really like Nate and his whole girly side choices. I tend to like the tough guys in my stories. But that is just my personal preference.

With a combination of being fully engulfed in the story and a couple of "really?" moments I think you'll find yourself with an enjoyable and delightful read. I hope and can't wait to see more from Kari in the future.

Crazy how we forget to breath.....

I always seem to find myself in the same stressed out situations. I have to much on my plate for one human to possibly complete in a days time. Between family, friends, book reviews, writing, cleaning, cooking, animals, an addiction to video games, being sick, having things happen, life and more it really does give you a lot to sort through and accomplish. Not to mention I plan to start the newsletter July 1 and am trying to plan something special for October spooky month of fun as well.
I THINK if I can finish up my list for today and keep the momentum through the week that I will actually put myself AHEAD of my to do list. Well in some aspects. Wouldn't that be great? I could finally find some time at some point to relax. And maybe start new habits like exercise. lol.
For all of you that follow my blog and DON'T want to read about book reviews every day I am going to start trying to get back into daily random post about video games, movies, cooking, crafting and so fourth. Also Football season starts up soon so my sports section will come back as well. However I do agree to give book reviews on blog spots my up top post and tend to do that with random review request as well so please check back now and again to find the hidden post along with the reviews.
Also still trying to figure out what to do about youtube. Have yet to figure out exactly what I want to make videos about soooooo for now my youtube channel is just some of my WY vacation videos.

So how do you keep on top of your to do list?

Blog Host Post: Gone at Zero Hundred By: CR Hiatt

[image error] CR HIATT is a writer of screenplays and an author of YA action-mystery novels. The daughter of a military veteran, CR grew up in a small town where she became an All-American athlete. CR knew early on that she wasn't cut out for the nine to five type of job - her tendency to day dream about adventures often got in the way. But, being the daughter of a Navy Veteran she also knew one had to do what was necessary to be secure, so she disciplined herself to push those dreams aside and settled on working in the entertainment legal field. When those dreams invaded her world once again, CR finally gave in and set out to write her own adventures. What the heck, right. If you can't live 'em, you might as well write about them. The McSwain & Beck series are works of fiction, only based on real life events. Gone at Zero Hundred 00:00 is the first in the series, and available now. Fireworks on the 4th will be released in late June, just before the 4th of July holiday season.

Sydney Marie McSwain and her pal, Cody Beck, team up to take on a secret club called The Devil's Door where members are branded with the tattoo of a devil and call themselves The Privileged Ones.

Sydney Marie McSwain - a tomboy who yearned for a father.

Cody Beck - a wannabe filmmaker, wisenheimer and flirt.

Jaden White - the star who led the high school hockey team to two championships, and was now on the A-list for NHL scouts.

Sydney Marie McSwain loves her mom, Anna - a private investigator in the coastal city where they live - but they had a major issue between them. Anna refused to give Sydney the identity of her father. On the day of her high school graduation, they were battling it out, once again. An hour later, Sydney, Cody and Jaden were at the local café, and watched as Anna was gunned down, and it was broadcasted on live TV.

Faced with immediate responsibility, Sydney and Cody agreed to take over the agency, only they changed the name to McSwain & Beck. At the same time, Sydney convinced Sutter Beach Detective, Ace Carter, to help her track down her father.

Out of the blue, a model walked in and hired them to follow her step-brother. While Cody was busy editing a trailer to solicit new clients, Sydney settled into her lemon-yellow pickup to do surveillance, and wound up staking out a secret club called The Devil’s Door whose suspicious members wore the tattoo of a devil.

That same night, Sydney received a call from one of her mom’s former clients, only the client was gunned down at the location where they agreed to meet. The mysterious discovery of a DVD revealed the possibility that teenagers were being abducted, only nobody reported them missing.

On the hunt for the victims, McSwain & Beck were chased by men in ski masks, nearly gunned down by members of a cartel called the outlaws, Sydney’s precious pickup was broken into; then the step-brother they were hired to follow, was found dead and Sydney was the number one suspect.

If things weren’t bad enough already, they had to figure out how to crash a red-carpet Mardi Gras bash being held on a private cruise ship, before it sailed off into the sunset, where they just might meet the devil, himself.

Now, the clock was ticking…

And time was running out…

How was she ever going to find her father, now?

“Their lives were in the hands of two 18 year-olds…”

(Shhhh.... Sneak Peek)  The ticker tape on the bottom of the TV read: In an unusual turn of events, Investigator Anna McSwain assists law enforcement personnel in the arrest of Marty Cole, an officer with the Sutter Beach Vice Unit. Cole is another individual alleged to be involved in the pension fund scam that McSwain uncovered earlier this year.
Anna slipped her weapon back in its holster, and started down the path toward her own SUV, when…
POP – POP – POP – POP…
A sniper opened fire, and a round of bullets ripped into her chest. She stumbled and faltered; then fell like a dead weight to the ground.
It was immediate pandemonium at the scene. “Shots fired! Shots fired!” an officer screamed at the top of his lungs. “Officers take cover.” Uniformed officers took up defensive positions and scanned the area for the shooter.

~THE REVIEW~  Writing a murder mystery takes a special writer and a sharp mind. CR Hiatt has this down. Her ability to pull the reader in and not let go is mesmerizing. The connection and thrill you feel for her characters as they go from one close call to another and are thrown from one adventure stunt to the next will keep you begging for more. The clues are there if they can just get them. And they are willing to risk it all to do so. Courage, strength, a quick wit and a drive for answers keeps the team on their toes and one step at a time closer to finding the truth. And don't we all want the truth?
I highly suggest anyone that loves a good mystery book to pick up this one. You won't be sorry and you won't want to put it down.

Book Review: Fat Chances

Lets Meet the Wonderful Author J. S. Wilsoncroft
J.S.Wilsoncroft was born and raised in the small town of Curwensville, Pennsylvania. Her mother and father taught her to be strong and never give up on her dreams, even though as a teenager she wasn't sure what those dreams were. It wasn't until she was older that she decided she wanted some kind of job working with animals. So at the age of 23 she got her dog grooming license and has been grooming puppies ever since.

It wasn't until five years ago that she started writing. She woke up one morning with this story on her mind and as the day grew on so did the story. She finally decided to sit down at her computer and start typing. That's when her first book (unpublished) Roller Coaster Love was born. After that, writing stories came to her as easy as grooming dogs. In fact alot of her story ideas came to her while she was grooming. So with the old saying "Don't quit your day job" she literally takes it to heart.

To say the least, you will find in alot of her stories....a loveable pooch.

Now...J.S.Wilsoncroft has her hands full  being a wife, a mother to two children and 3 yappy dogs, full time dog groomer and a part time writer.

What do I think of Fat Chances??
5 OUT OF 5 STARS!!!!
I'm not sure if it was due to the fact I connected to the character on a personal level, or if it was because I wish my husband was like Corey. I would love to be loved on that level. It was the type of thing that some people dream about and here it was in reality. I could not put this book down. I couldn't put the book down until the end and then I wanted more!!!
This spoke to me. Being a large girl myself I knew all the humiliation and worries and fear that Annie feels. I could put myself in here shoes and truly relate to all her statements and thoughts. And to find a guy that can see past the outside and see the beauty on the inside is a beautiful thing. Everyone should learn from this. Beauty is what is inside you. Not what your shell looks like.
*NOTE TO J.S. WILSONCROFT I HOPE THERE IS A SEQUEL!!*

Book Review: LOST Amelia Jones Private Detective Series

Amelia's sheltered life changes when an heiress enters her detective agency and offers a windfall. Amelia needs the money, but the case threatens her old way of life. She must decide if breaking from her shackles is worth losing everything she has ever known. Lost follows Amelia through a conflict of identity, romance, and family.

More about Pandora Richardson Pandora Richardson is a fan and writer of fantasy, mystery, and romance novels. A Jersey girl at heart, she now lives near Washington, D.C. with her canine familiar, Loki. Ms. Richardson loves eating Ben & Jerry's Chunky Monkey ice cream and writing her next masterpiece from her bubble bath.

I did enjoy reading and learning about Amelia. And I look forward to book two. However, I think a lot was put into book one. There was some time skips but there was also a lot of side things. Like questions about other people, side task, and it could get a bit confusing.
However, I did think the concept was good. I want to read more of Amelia and see how she tackles on what still lays ahead of her. She has cases to solve and growing up to do. Can't wait to see what situations she finds herself in next.

Book Review: Deadly Vows

In life or death, sometimes the actions toward another person are not forgotten. The invasions of another persons mind set can cause the viewer to take a step back, sit up and imagine that the enemy does not see what is coming. They are in the inner part of the enemy head to feel the pain and not mix it up. In a new line up of horror stories, Mr. Marsh takes us to the existence that there is more to life and death that we already know. Marsh focuses hard on showing us the different views of how pain and a doormat person can live inside us all and not realizing it until it is to late. Marsh mind set is so strong on the death of him, that he sheds a dark light just to allow us to read a little concerning the demons inside us all. The style he shows is very conversational and straight forward in his own dark ways. A book inside a book, "The Deadly Vows" is the mindset of Mr. Marsh. "The Deadly Vows" is powerful and offers us to see the evil we care not to see. The question after reading this book is, "Is it safe to go out again, knowing that there are people that are out there with his mindset. The "The Deadly Vows" is a dark and painful raw emotions book to read and it bares a spectrum of themes to comprehend.

My Review Robert has a grasp for emotion that really pulls the reader into the authors world. Fear, anger, dismay and hope are just some of the emotions that are brought fourth as you read through the tidbit stories and poems.

I would have enjoyed knowing more about the types of situations that drove these emotions. However, each story brings to the surface a realization and connection to each person. We can all relate to the feelings and thoughts brought on us in the past.

As we travel across the hills of the highs and lows of the author you find yourself getting lost in the words. With each short story, poem and entry being less then a page long it is a quick and easy read.
