"[…] I want to
lie down somewhere and suffer for love until
it nearly kills me, and then I want to..."

“[…] I want to

lie down somewhere and suffer for love until

it nearly kills me, and then I want to get up again

and put on that little black dress and wait

for you, yes you, to come over here

and get down on your knees and tell me

just how fucking good I look.”

I thank God in heaven that you and I exist at the same time. I've been in an abusive relationship for the past three years, and now, thanks to reading your poem, "Your hands are threads, your body is a canvas", and crying for what felt like eons, I have th

I’ve been deliberating how to respond to this message and the only thing I can say is that, when I get low and ask myself what the point of all this is, women like you, strong, brave and constantly growing women, help me through. I am so proud of you.

but i think kisses like that perpetuate the need of men to be aggressive/masculine and leads to things like if i put my hand on her throat, consent doesn't matter. im a man, i own this body. i have a right to it. ya know??

I’m inclined to disagree with you to the extent that if a man I didn’t trust tried to put his hands on my throat, I’d break his fingers. Kisses like that, cradling the face, cupping the back of the neck, holding the throat, they come from a place of great trust because one twitch and the person kissing you can do serious damage.

Azra tell me about the boy you're soft for.

You know I was speaking to him just a little while ago about this question and how I didn’t know what to say except that he reminds me of the word “serendipity” because he was unexpected and amazing and he softly just murmured “am I like that?”
