It's Freaking Thursday Already?

Yeah today was a day of quiet reflection.

I do that every once in a while. Reevaluate my life and mistakes and say; "yea you should have learned by now" but I never do.

I'm like the shorter, overweight, younger, non singing Madonna, Cher  Drag Queen impersonator  because I'm always reinventing my life.

So anyway tomorrow is Friday–then the weekend and I'll be M.I.A. in my little world, hopefully doing some reading and a finishing my sequal!

Have a great day people! Keep on truckin'

Help Me Get 100!!!

I would like to get 100 books sold by May.
So I will tell you all of the things I may be willing to do to make that happen.
For every 10 books sold I will post a picture of me doing these things…

1. Really badly executed cartwheels.

2. Get a Tattoo of the Number 100 with two Thumbs up.

3. Eat Bread (I'm Gluten Free)

4. Bock like a Chicken in the comfort of my own livingroom–I will do it I promise. :)

5. Learn all the Presidents.

6. Finally take up Basket Weaving.

7. Finish the sequal to the this book.

8. Sniff glue.

9. Not dye my hair until I get to 100:  You will see a glorious silver fox my friends!

And….

10. Be your best friend.

So if you would like to see or just hear that I did these things…Please check out A Demon Love Story Part One: The Obsession at Amazon.com

Blogging for Dummies

Disclaimer:  I am the Dummy.

I'm like the shy girl in the corner waiting for the cute boy to talk to her.  My blog is starting to pick up some steam it's slow but steady. I can't believe how wonderful the author/reader/self-publishing community is.  They are all so helpful with tips, and interesting insights and humorous stories.  I really feel like I've been embraced by the good people of Goodreads and other forums.

I know that I don't post articles or book reviews (I will eventually I can promise you that once I find time to read) I just talk about nonsense that comes out of my mind. I am a fiction writer and it's funny because I used to be a big reader of chick lit (you can probably guess that by my protagonists) but I'm totes into the Paranormal genre type of writing.  But my everyday Allison is just sarcastic and punny (yes I meant to say that) and stupid humor while just speaking my mind.

I blog about my self-publishing experience which I'm still learning.  Now I'm at the "pimp my review" stage.  Is that an actual stage or did I just totally make that up?  Innovation!!  I'm tweeting my face off and getting people to like my page on Facebook . I'm trying to get #shamelessplugfridays off and running on Twitter so please let's keep that going!!

You know what I think would be so awesome–a book tour.  Not like a jet setting around the world book tour (which is unrealistic but just as awesome) just a local hey how are you do you want to read my book, oh you do–well I will be so happy if you did.  I just think that would be so much fun just getting out there–it's funny if I'd never finished and published this book I'd never want to get out there and meet people.  Publishing my book is bringing me out of my shell!!

I feel like I was just born to the technological age.  Blogs, Twitter, Facebook, Goodreads, Book Blogs (my newest invite!)  So I don't know if I'm doing things right. I don't want to be too needy, but I don't want to be too nice. I feel sometimes I'm too aggressive but then other times I'm not aggressive enough.

I can ALWAYS use feedback.  I always appreciate others opinions, good or bad.

Technologically Inept

It was a short time ago when my best friend told me that she follows drag queens and Cher on Twitter.

I was like what the f#$k is Twitter? I don't get it.  I had just started my Facebook Profile…I still thought MySpace was cool until my only friends were bands.

Now today I'm a Twittering maniac or at least trying to be.

Another good friend of mine told me that #Hashtags are VERY IMPORTANT. I say "huh"? What the f#$k is a hash-tag?

I guess (this is what I've deducted from countless hours exploring Twitter) a #hashtag is something that promotes something that other people might be interested in.  Right???

So I've decided that I was going to start a new #hashtag–and like I said before I was shocked it wasn't already done.

I would like to start #shamelessplugfriday  where every Friday you shamelessly plug your book, blog, a friend's book, blog, anything you want people to pay attention to.

I think it will be a great way to promote yourselves and your fellow authors/friends.  So all followers unite, if you shamelessly plug me I will shamelessly plug you.

Here I'll get you started #shamelessplugfriday A Demon Love Story Love, Lies, Betrayal–Vampires? Get it today on Amazon.com http://www.amazon.com/Demon-Love-Story-Obsession-ebook/dp/B00711BCG2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1330105928&sr=8-1

Might be too long for Twitter but you can improvise.  I will definitely do the same for all of you I just need your info.  Let's get something started everyone!!!

Support Your Indie Artists!!!

I'm changing it up today. I'm not going to talk about myself.  I know shocking.

I want to talk about a friend of mine who is extremely talented with a paintbrush and watercolors.

She is able to duplicate your home, or business with precision and flawlessness it's really quite amazing.

She has an Etsy store where she is showcasing her paintings for purchase.  It would be a great favor to me to at least check out her store and see if you are interested in her amazing talent.

First Amazon Review!!

I know reviews are really important and detrimental to an author's success. So I'm proud to announce that I've gotten my first Amazon customer review today!! Please take a look below…

I can honestly say I loved the crap out of this book. Allison B. Levine has a new kind of literary voice and it must be heard! I hate all things vampire, I think it's a played out concept and prefer witchcraft to be honest. This novel blew me away! I downloaded to my Kindle on a whim and once I started reading it, I was hooked into it and finished it in a matter of hours. I devoured this story. I recommend this to not only the people who love a good vampire story or those who love a good love story, but to everyone else as well. This has so many different elements to it,I could see it appealing to just about everyone. Please be warned that there are some adult situations and language so I wouldn't let the kids read it. But everyone else, get out there and buy A Demon Love Story – you will NOT be disappointed! The only downfall is that there is no sequel yet – I need more Alex and Liam NOW!!!

Interview with a Vampire Novel Writer

I would like to announce that my awesome doppelgänger Nicolle "Nikki Illinois" at http://nikki-illinois.blogspot.com/20... has put up our interview about A Demon Love Story Part One: The Obsession.

She has a way with words that one I have to say she does have the writer in her for sure I hope that someday she realizes her gift and finally finishes her story.

I found it poetic that she told me it was up as I was sitting in a bar using free wi-fi eating sushi (good thing I have this place within walking distance) while working on ADLS Part Two: Domination.  It's getting good I have to say but I have such a long way to go to finish it and then for Julia to edit it–but hopefully now that I've had a book under my belt the editing won't be as hmm what's the word–daunting.

So all please check out my interview de-virgining at http://nikki-illinois.blogspot.com/20... I think it's pretty effing awesome!

My Brain Never Sleeps

I updated my "works in progress" just before. Last night before I went to bed around midnight I had another story idea. That's 2 new ones in the last few weeks.

Which is awesome, I have all these ideas but I really need to prioritize. I know I need to finish ADLS Part 2, that is priority number one, just one problem–I'm kinda blocked. I don't want it to lose its edge it's much milder than the first one because so many things have changed, Alex has changed she's no longer the young impulsive spontaneous horny school girl–she's scarred and broken and deadly powerful.  What do I do with her? I'm still working on it, but I can promise that it will be just as interesting as the first time around.

I'm so happy about this awakening in me. I've never been so creatively acute in a very long time however I just hope I don't fall into old habits which is not finishing anything.  I have so many ideas but will they be short stories?  Will I be able to be a novelist?  Someone by me smells like an old ashtray–for those who knew me in my smoking days I just want to say sorry.

I digress which is actually the exact dissolve I needed because I was going to say that I get distracted way to easily there are always shiny things making me mesmerized.  Or the plug to my computer detaches and shuts of my computer in an instant.  My stupid battery kicked and now the only way to use my computer is to keep it plugged in.

I've become completely distracted now.

Today a very awesome sexy friend of mine Nicolle who can be found at www.nikki-illinois.blogspot.com did me the solid of asking me some questions about ADLS. My first interview!! I can't express my elation about this–so once that's in the blogosphere I will let you all know.

Ok I've become completely distracted with the internets now so I will bid adieu…it's a wonder I've ever written anything. :)

Alexandria 'Alex' Giardi

This is what I picture Alex to be like after her changing moment.

Maybe not with the strap…although I wouldn't be surprised, she's a minx.
