Quickie

Proof #2 coming this week had a bunch of tweaks to the original. But all this is gravy because when you all see the perfection of the finished product I will be aglow!

Have a wonderful weekend all…oh yeah and those who missed it–here's me super dorking it out stupid happy with the 1st proof.

What a Weekend

What did I do this weekend? I really didn't do too much just hung out with my BFF, got the stomach flu–you know the usual.

But what else happened this weekend? My book was proofed. Meaning the book is uploaded, accepted, printed (cover and all) and on it's way to me to check for mistakes.

This week I will have the real live book in my hands as it will be seen by millions (I hope).

I'm not going to lie when I see this beautiful novel in my hands for the first time I will cry like a baby. I still can't believe it's real.

Oh and here's the updated high resolution cover…I love it.

End in Sight

So the book is done being edited. All we are working on is all the techincal stuff. The fitting of the book in the sleeve, the book cover and what not.

I just don't know what to do it's so close I can touch it.  Once all the fittings are right I will be getting a 'demo' copy (I'm so nervous and excited I can't think of the actual term) and then I look through that make sure everything is perfect.

Then with one click of a button it's LIVE. I will be getting some hard copies just to have on hand cause you never know! And everyone wants a signed copy but if you purchase it online you'll have to send it to me and then me back to you–which I'm totally willing to do!!!!

All I ask is if you like the book a) tell me. b) tell EVERYONE you know.  I didn't write this to make money I wrote it with the knowledge at the time that I finally finished something and that was the end of it.

But now that I know I can actually sell it and make money–Um I want to sell the shit out of it!!

I already got a good gut of the 2nd book written I haven't decided if there will be more I really need to see if anyone even likes this one first.  I also started a screenplay, another couple stories and I have an unfinished novel from 100 years ago that I may dust off and revamp.

I'll always keep writing it's theraputic, it's my passion and my love.  But it may be a while before I do it again if people hates this books guts.   I'm really nervous about that.

Don't get me wrong I trust Julia I trust her taste and her abilities to notice something of substance and she told me straight up if she didn't think it was good she would have never even offered to edit it, so I really think I have something here.

I love it–I've read it 20 or so times already. When I was doing the final edits I read it in 10 hours collectively over 2 days (reading makes me sleepy).  But I'm really proud of it–it's surreal a little nutty, crazy, dark, naughty, disturbing and just fun.  I love the love story it's a "I hate you but I love you, I can't stand you but I want to crawl inside you and live there because I can't be without you" kind of a saga.

Who doesn't want that? I know this girl does.

So OK this was a really long ramble I just want you all to know what's going through my mind during this process. This is all real right now.

Next step–I have to figure out how to market myself.  How do I sell myslef to people that don't know me? I'm so reserve and shy (to people that don't know me) writing the book was cake compared to this.

I'll figure it out. But suggestions are MORE than welcome.

Attention All Friends

The moment you've all been waiting for…*drum roll*…a Release Date! I'm 99% sure this is solid.  For all of those who know me and love me you will appreciate the irony in this.

A Demon Love Story will be released on 2/14/12 hehehehehe.  What better day really to release this preternatural/supernatural Love Story?? Why didn't I think of this earlier??

I know it's a special day for most and it's never been special for me, but this should change that forever.

Aw What the Hell

I will give you another teaser to quench your thirst…

Without a word, she lifted me up in one very fast motion, and dropped me onto a table. And with the same lightning-fast reflexes, she slices across both of my wrists.

Her plan was to cut me and leave me like a piece of meat―let me bleed to death on a metal slab in a basement somewhere.

She stood and watched. Happily.

The blood gushed out of me, cascading like a gruesome fountain over my hands and making dripping sounds onto the floor. And with every second I could feel the life draining from me. I could feel my heart pumping the viscous, garnet fluid out of my body, faster and faster. My skin got cold. Then my insides got cold. My eyesight was diminishing, but I could hear her laughing as she watched. Enjoying every moment. The pain from my body struggling to hold on, to keep working, became too excruciating―too much to bear. After a few more moments, I could feel my body giving in.

And when the blackness came to me, I assumed it would be the end. And I was relieved.
