Ian Maclaren
Comment on "Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle". A recurring theme throughout The Mule Tamer is the concept of kindness and tolerance. The quote above is attributed to Ian Maclaren (pseudonym of Rev. John Watson; 3 November 1850 – 6 May 1907) who was a Scottish author and theologian. It has erroneously been attributed to Plato or Philo of Alexandria.
