Latest 5 star review for The Mule Tamer III, Marta's Quest

5.0 out of 5 stars Another terrific ride! July 22, 2012 By Jameson Format:Kindle Edition I really enjoyed the first two books of the Mule Tamer trilogy, and enjoyed this final episode, Mule Tamer III, the most! Chica's daughters, Rebecca and Marta, have the choice to live as pampered and protected debutantes or jump into real lives full of danger, fun, love, betrayal, and revolution in Mexico. The two women face both smarmy and smooth criminals, outlaws, and perhaps even their true loves but who is who? The well-woven plot twists and turns while the suspense builds and builds. It kept me guessing until the very end. I don't want to give anything away, but Rebecca and Marta are definitely their mother's daughters! The history, writing style, humor, plots, and characters in John Horst's books are so refreshing. This book, like the first two, is a unique mix of western, historical, mystery, and romance with a cast of characters that yank you into their adventures from the very start and keep you with them until the end - LOVED IT!

A great 5 star review from Linda Harrison of bookreporter.com

Linda Harrison
The Mule Tamer II - Chica's Ride by John Horst

5 This book continues the story originated with The Mule Tamer. I love the down-to-earth story of Arvel and his Mexican wife Maria, known as Chica. In this book, their daughter is kidnapped by a bandit known as the Sombrero del Oro and Chica disguises herself to get into the bandit’s compound to save her daughter. There she sees the cruelty carried out by the bandits on their captives and takes her revenge.

Latest 5 star review for The Mule Tamer II, Chica's Ride

A+, #1, Thumbs Up!, July 19, 2012 By  benhur68 Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this? ) This review is from: The Mule Tamer II, Chica's Ride (Kindle Edition) When does the movie come out? Could not stop reading it! Thought my Kindle would start cheering and grinning like me during my read. Chica is awsome - she fills your imagination with envy and might I add - a little lust! John C. Horst should continue to write westerns.

What's this? ) This review is from: The Mule Tamer (Kindle Edition) I just started reading western novels a few months ago, but by far this one was great stuff! It tells a story that most western novel fans love - the west, good guys and the bad, guns and sharp wit and plenty of nerve. Can't wait for the next installment!
