Don’t know why, but he does. He says we’re friends and he wants to ‘draw me out’. Have me try new things. I’m cool with it, but it would be nice if he was more than just a friend. I wanted the man of my dreams to actually be ‘my’ man.
When I finally get my chance, it all comes dwindling down just as easily as dreams end when you wake up. But I can’t deny my need for him. I long for him. And dreaming about him just will no longer suffice.

Baked With Love | 2017 Book of the Year Award!
We made it to 2018, and I'm starting my 2018 year off on a high note.
I'm pleased to announce that my novel, Baked With Love, won the 2017 Book of the Year Award from the Sisterhood of the Traveling Books Book Club. It's such an honor to be nominated among other great authors and so gratifying to win. I've never won a book award, so this honor is especially great for me. I will be forever grateful to the fans who continue to read my books. I appreciate all of your support, emails, comments, reviews - you are what makes this writing journey so enjoyable over the years.

#TeaserTuesday - You Have No Idea

I released my newest novel, Royal (A St. Claire Novel) on October 20, 2017. I'm so grateful that it is currently on Amazon's Top 100 Bestseller's list in the Romance Category! Thank you to all the readers who embraced Royal and Gemma's story.
Royal was originally introduced to you in Baked With Love (The Boardwalk Bakery Series). He's the younger brother of Ramsey. (I know y'all remember Ramsey and Gianna!) Anyway, Royal has a thing for Gemma, Gianna's sister, and he's pretty open about it to everyone else while giving Gemma subtle clues, but she doesn't think he's interested in her beyond just being friends. Here's a teaser from Chapter 1:
“This is my first time on a boat,” she told him.“I know.”“And I’ve never danced with a prince before,” she quipped.He chuckled. “Well, this is my first time dancing with a princess.” My princess.Gemma cackled. “Oh please, Royal. I see some beautiful woman checking you out whenever we’re together. I know you’ve dated some princesses in your day.”“Just because a woman is beautiful doesn’t make her a princess. It’s about class. The way she carries herself. The way she treats others.”Gemma nodded, appreciating the fact that a man actually looked beyond the outer layer of a woman to see what she was really made of. She was glad that he was that kind of good-hearted, common sense person. “Hey, I just thought about something. I can’t stay with you tonight.”“Why not?” he asked failing at an attempt to hide a frown because he wanted her to stay with him more than anything.“I don’t have any clothes.”“Nice try, but we’re still in Lake Norman. We can swing by Ramsey’s and pack an overnight bag for you.”“Oh. Okay, then. Problem solved, I guess.”Royal squeezed her waist again. Licked his lips again, finding it a challenge to take his eyes off of her lips.“Hey, you know the music just stopped, right?” she asked, looking at him instantly feeling the heat of his eyes on her lips. She moistened them. “Royal?”“Yes?” he asked, connecting his gaze to hers.“The music stopped.”“I know.”She chuckled uncomfortably. “Then why are you still cinching my waist?”He offered up a half shrug. “No reason.”Gemma’s cheeks reddened before she wrapped her hands around his wrists moving his hands away from her body for the second time this evening. Feeling like they needed a break because she definitely needed time to maintain a steady heartbeat again, she said, “I’ll be back. I’ma go holla at Gianna for a second.”“Okay. Hurry back so I can do some more grabbing.”Gemma stuck her tongue out at him and he pretended to grab it and toss it inside of his mouth, making fake chewing movements. She laughed, then continued walking over to where Gianna was standing.All the while, Royal watched every single step she took, eyeing her fit, little body down and secretly rejoicing that he’d have her all to himself tonight. At his crib. In his arms. He could hardly wait.

It's Royal St. Claire Day!

I declared October 20, 2017 Royal St. Claire day because his story is out today! If you're a fan of The Boardwalk Bakery Series (you know, the Baked With Love books about quirky Gianna and debonair Ramsey St Claire) then you don't want to miss Royal (A St. Claire Novel).
Royal has an attachment to Gemma as you'll see right out of the gate. But Gemma, poor Gemma, has no idea that he's feeling her. Everybody else can see it except for her. Royal is just a friend, she thinks, and he is a friend, but it's hard to be just friends with a woman you're in love with.
And Gemma is, well, Gemma. In some ways, she's quirky like her sister, but she too has a lot of issues that threatens her sanity. (Like Geraldine. Ugh. Remember Geraldine? She's back, too.) But she'll find out when a St. Claire has her back, there's nothing she can't do or handle.

The Marriage Chronicles
9/7/2017The Marriage Chronicles is series of short stories chronicling the lives of Cameron and Kerri Valentine. Each episode tackles some aspect of their life and the process they go through to work out their problems. Of keeping their marriage in tact despite the struggles of everyday life.
Meet The Cast:
Cameron Valentine, 39, is a construction worker. A manly man who's good with his hands. His days are long and when he gets home, all he wants to do is kick back with a cold one and relax while watching a little TV and eating a lot of dinner.
Keri Valentine, 35, is what society likes to call a 'supermom'. Between working her own full-time, administrative assistant job, running Aiden to little league practice and picking up (and dropping off) Cheyenne at preschool, she has no time to relax. How can she? Dinner needs to be cooked. The house needs to be cleaned. Laundry needs to be done and somebody has to make sure the kids take a bath and brush their teeth before going to bed...
Eight-year-old Aiden is his father's little twin. He loves little league baseball as much as he enjoys playing catch with his father in the backyard.
Four-year-old Cheyenne is a two-afro puff wearing, know-it-all who's scared of the dark. She thinks preschool was made just for her and is a bonafide daddy's girl. She can't stay out of her mother's makeup.

In the world of Lauren Chandler, nothing sucked worse than being known around town as the woman who thought she was going to snag one of the Lennox men, only to be dropped faster than a satellite signal in a torrential rain storm. That’s why she left Bryson City, North Carolina in the first place – to get away from and get over Kenton Lennox. To get her life back on track.To forget he ever existed.To get over the humiliation.Away from the wise women (her mother included) who’d warned her that you couldn’t turn a womanizing bachelor into a loving husband.Still, she tried. And failed. Failed miserably.Her heart drummed in her chest just thinking about how nerve-racking it was when it came to the hope of a relationship working out with him. When they fell apart, she put all the blame on Kenton, but it was her idea to give him an ultimatum two years ago – to either put a ring on it or the relationship was over. She thought he had it in the bag. She knew he liked her and she loved him, so why wouldn’t he abide by her terms? She was certain he’d realize how much of a catch she was and would want to do whatever he had to do to hold on to her, even if he wasn’t ready.Boy was she wrong.Sitting in her car, she shook her head, listening to the soft voice of Jhené Aiko singing The Worst, playing softly in the background. But he had apparently wanted something different because he as soon as she’d presented him with the ultimatum, their relationship crashed and obliterated into a thousand, crumb-like pieces. The sudden, abrupt end had rattled her. Caught her off guard. She at least thought they’d have a discussion about it. Talk it through. That’s what couples did, right? Talked? Rambled on and on about issues and problems until some resolution was reached? But not Kenton ‘Usain Bolt’ Lennox. He had just…well, bolted. That was two years ago.
