Acquainted With Atlas - Pre-Release Thoughts
Greetings, reading fam!
It's release week and I'm excited to share this story with you all. Acquainted With Atlas is my latest. It's different from anything I've ever written. I'm definitely stretching my imagination with this story. It gives you military vibes, there's an element of sci-fi, but trust it still has a good level of romantic suspense.
So, who's Atlas?
Atlas Zayvian is a reservist, posing as a biochemist. (You'll find out why soon). He's as handsome as they come with his blue eyes, but he's socially awkward due to his tumultuous past. He's never been in love. Never been in a relationship - never been in love. Never wanted to be. Then he met Bria in person and everything changed.
Bria Mallery is a pharmaceutical scientist. She's not posing. This is her real job. She's brilliant, was sought out by the company which she works. She meets Atlas in a way that throws her off balance, leaving her wondering why he singles her out when there are so many women at Genetix Industries who would gladly jump at the chance to date him.
But he's not interested in them.
He only has eyes for her.
I'm super excited about this project since it's a newish kinda genre for me. To keep the suspense level on point, this story, like some of my other series, is told in three parts so the first book will flow into the second and the second to the third, so you will have to read these stories in order. I hope you enjoy!

Flicker, An Ahmalee + Cain Update
Flicker is an update on Ahmalee and Cain. Readers were so passionate about this story that I wanted to give you an update on how their lives are going. Ahmalee is still making candles and Cain is still 'foine' (lol) with his dreads and thousand-dollar suits. But could his lifestyle be too much for small-town Ahmalee?
As I mentioned above, Flicker is an update story. You must have already read When I Needed You and When You Needed Me before starting this story.

Because She's In Love With Love
Ahmalee + Cain...
I think the reason this story resonated so well with me and readers is all because of Ahmalee Hayes. The woman has a heart of gold, but after a failed relationship years back she pours all her time and energy into her candle company. While work is good, she knows she's missing the component of her life that makes her truly feel alive. L-O-V-E-E-E and affection.
And along comes Cain Wesley...
I'm not going to lie - Cain is the man. In the beginning, you see him as homeless, but Ahmalee always saw him from the inside out. She saw his heart - not his physical condition. I think, so many times we pre-judge people by what we see on the outside and not for who they really are. Ahmalee didn't do that. She saw the potential of what and who Cain Wesley could become.
And then, she fell...
Fell so deep in love, she was heartbroken when they had to part ways. This two-part story had me on my toes. I enjoyed writing it so much. I love Ahmalee's vulnerability with Cain - loved how she was willing to do anything for him - give him her all and she loved unconditionally. She was in love with love and Cain was just the man to fill that void.
To my readers who fell in love with Ahmalee + Cain's journey from day one, thank you! I had an awesome time writing these stories and it's always a delight to hear how these stories connect with you all.

When Compassion Turns Into Passion...
When I Needed You is told almost one-hundred-percent from Ahmalee's perspective. She's the owner of Ivy and Eden Candles. She's also the woman who Cain has had his eyes on. Why?Well...you'll see. For now, we'll say he likes her. Likes how she runs her store and has her own business. He likes her generosity. Her compassion. It becomes addictive after a while. It's something he's not accustomed to in his world. It's not how he is. It's refreshing to see it in action. How can she be this...this real?

RSJ Convention - Emma Awards Recipient!
I was scheduled to attend the Romance Slam Jam (RSJ) convention in Norfolk, Virginia in May 2020, but due to Covid-19, the convention was moved online. Still, I had the best time. I was honored to be a guest on two panels - one discussing self-publishing and the other dealing with the romantic suspense genre. Every workshop I attended was informative and entertaining. I thoroughly enjoyed the workshops regarding audiobooks, writing in deep POV and bingo night.
The last night of the convention was an awards ceremony where I won my first Emma Awards:
My novella, Winter Wonder , won an Emma Award for Novella of the Year.My character, Drake Lennox from Winter Wonder, won Hero of the Year.And finally, I won an Emma Award for Author of the Year!
I still can't believe it! I want to thank the organizers for the hard work in putting this conference together. Thank you to the readers who dive deep into these stories and make these characters real. Thank you for your support. I couldn't do this without y'all.

How To Love Me is a standalone novel and honestly, there weren't supposed to be any additional stories emerging from the book. But KeShana's character - y'all know - she was off the chain. After many email messages from readers, I finally decided to bring her story to life in an InstaLove 100+page romance. I wanted the story to be a lot shorter - like a short story - but it's longer than a short story - more like a novella.
