Six Sentence Sunday

Here's another snippet from my upcoming release Concilium: The Departure.

Set-up: I can't give too much description of what leads up to this scene without giving away spoilers. Leslee is in an elevator about to do something illegal--and possibly life-threatening--and Miller is listening/talking to her through a tiny microphone.

The elevator was silent except for me; I hummed along with
the piped in music.  The other
passangers looked at me sideways.  I’m
sure I was confirming...

Cover Reveal: Awoken by Timothy Miller

I'm excited to share the cover of Timothy Miller's young adult novel Awoken. This is another great book (and cover) from the extraordinary Spencer Hill Press.

Fourteen-year-old Michael
Stevens has never been ordinary; no orphan who hears music coming from rocks
considers himself a typical teenager. But life gets a lot more complicated when
two-foot-tall, albino, doll-like men sneak into his room one night, transforming
the harmless music into a frightening ability he cannot control....

Review: Easy by Tammara Webber

Easy Easy by Tammara Webber

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Easy is without a doubt one of the best books I've read this year. I loved it. Every single word. In fact, I read it in one sitting, staying up all night to finish. I couldn't put it down. I had to know what came next. When my kids got up for school the next morning, I was still reading, not having slept at all the night before.

The characters Ms. Webber created were real, relatable, and conflicted. The situations they found themselves in were so...

The Reluctant Bachelorette by Rachael Anderson

Unknowingly cast as the bachelorette for her town’s charity event, Taycee Emerson wants out. Especially when she discovers her old teenage crush, Luke Carney, is one of the bachelors and it's up to the viewers--not her--to decide which bachelors stay or go.

[image error] Coerced into participating, Taycee does what any self-preserving girl would do. She launches a subtle attack on Luke’s good name with the hope of getting him voted off the show. Unfortunately, Luke's an eye-for-an-eye kind of guy,...

Cover artist: Lex Valentine

Her nightmare is back.  Evil.  It’s alive, and it’s back for her.

Six months ago Leslee’s life was turned upside down when she was hunted by the Cruor Imbibo.  Now, they’re back and no one knows why.  But it’s clear – they’re out for blood.
Working for the Concilium, Miller was assigned to protect Leslee the first time the Imbibo entered her life. He saved her life...

Six Sentence Sunday

I’m sticking with my upcoming release, Concilium: The Departure. It’s scheduled for release in November by MuseItUp Publishing.

Set-up: This week’s six sentences are still from the Miller’s POV. They directly follow the sentences I shared last week.  You can read those HERE.

I’d never denied myself much in my despicable existence, and that lack of self-control is why I was bound to the Concilium.

But this time, with Leslee, I made myself think of someone else. It wasn’t too h...

Amarok by Angela J. Townsend

Amarok Amarok by Angela J. Townsend

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

It doesn't matter what Spencer Hill Press publishes it's going to be great, and Amarok by Angela Townsend is no exception.

The book follows the journey of Emma, a strong female lead, physically and mentally, and Tok/Amarok, a...well, you have to read the book to understand exactly what role he plays. Both are troubled souls held hostage literally and figuratively, who rely on each other for support, love and hope. Fiercely loyal to ea...

Six Sentence Sunday

It's Sunday and that means another six sentence teaser.  I'm sticking with my upcoming release: Concilium: The Departure, the sequel to my summer release Concilium which you can find on Amazon or MuseItUp Publishing.

Set up: This scene is told from Miller's POV.  The first part of the book is told from Leslee's POV and then switches to Miller's POV so we get a little more intimate with our hero than we were able to in book one where it was all in Leslee's POV.  The book does...
