Ominous Odes
I am pleased to announce that I wrote the Forward to Ominous Odes, a short story collection by Mark C. Frankel. It is a mix of the macabre and mystical. It's quite fun and I had a hand in editing a few stories before they were published by other entities.
It's pub date is March 12th. Please check out http://waywardraven.com and look at the details on the Books page.
Happy reading. Cheers

New company: Wayward Raven Media
Wayward Raven Media, of which I am a part, will be launching a new website soon with fun giveaways of comic books and novels. This company will be active in the comic book convention scene with our first of the year being at the Boston Comic-Con on April 20-21.
A new short story collection "Ominous Odes" by Mark Frankel and new comics will will launched in the coming weeks so stay tuned. http://waywardraven.com
The site should go live March 5th.
As for me, I've been writing a new comic book series and a new novel while trying to revise as well as pitch a couple screenplays. Not a fan of pitching but I'm good at writing letters. We do what we must. Please support your favorite independent authors and creators. Ars longa, vitae brevis.
Cheers!

My friend in NY Magazine
Well my buddy C.B. Cebulski who works at Marvel in NYC just got featured in New York Magazine about his exploits in the culinary scene. I warn you. Reading this article will make you hungry and a bit envious. Here's a link: http://newyork.grubstreet.com/2012/12...
Happy reading.
PS: he got me a contributing writing gig on a Wolverine one-shot and I hope to work for Marvel again one day. Fingers crossed.

Santa's a zombie?
It's a rather depressing time of year for some and this whole end-of-the-world folly can really be vexing so I put out a humor/fantasy piece called Santa's a zombie? for Kindle. Way cheap at $.99 and it's a short story. A fairly long one. So, this was my attempt at skewering the holidays like Sedaris has but with a zombie apocalypse and elves trained in military combat. Here's a link.

Happy Holidays and happy reading. Hope you get that book you always wanted.

SuperMegaFest Part 2
I hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving and is now bracing themselves for the flurry that is the holiday season (get ready to see a million Mercedes commercials with Santa. Does anyone really give a car for Christmas? How do you fit it under the tree?). I thought I would post a few more of the SuperMegaFest pics while they are still relatively relevant. Hope you enjoy them, there are some more great costumes!

SuperMegaFest Pics and Commentary
As some of you may know, we were at SuperMegaFest in Framingham, MA this weekend. We had a great time meeting other comic book fans from the Boston area and seeing all the fantastic costumes people wore. I wish I had taken a picture of the hotel itself, which looked like a castle. What better place for a comic book convention?
I would like to also take a moment to say thanks to Rosita from TNA who was nice enough to stop by and pick our raffle winner. She even took a moment to snap a pic with the three of us.
Like any good con, we saw some fantastic cosplayers. Here is part one of some awesome costumes. One of my personal favorites was Cobra Commander in the Ascendant pose. He even had the voice modulator to go with the costume.
Kraven was spot on too, he had a growl that woke the room up. Scared the hell out of Alex.
There were some great Star Wars costumes too. When I couldn't remember the right term, CB reminded me it is Snowtrooper. Thanks CB!
We of course saw many lovely ladies, too many to take pictures of, not that I didn't try.
And what con would be complete without The Riddler?
And finally a quick pic of Alex. I swear the guy next to him was only five ten. Thanks to everyone for making this a fun and memorable experience!
