Previously, on Eldritch: Explorer Chris had to pull a Mulligan on the Temple of Nyarlathotep, but inbetween starting over and getting back to second base, he made a decent run on Dagon’s Temple and figured out how to play this game. This is the footage of that capture, presented without running commentary, as an illustration of the strategies needed for playing this game. Enjoy!

Science! Rainbows! CLAPTRAP! The California Kings hit that part of the night where everything is awesome and the attitudes fly! Gravity has no part of this, so bounce on over to that play button and be prepared for language of saltier kinds!

The Isle of Cats, where an invisible tiger stalks and deadly roses grow. Unravel a tale of memory, cruelty and desire, with the King’s Claw, the Lady of the Cages, and a mystery from Fallen London's past…

Oh my god! I knew it! I knew it! I can’t wait to play it!

thecaliforniakings:

In this episode of the Eldritch series, Explorer Chris dives not once, but twice into the Temple of Nyarlathotep, culminating is what is possibly the most tension filled final ten minutes of the series to date. Keep your eyes on the screen and whatever you do, don’t blink!

Oh my god. The last ten minutes of this video. Seriously. Playing it was incredibly tense and my heart was pounding through it.

thecaliforniakings:

King Casey is firmly in the night guard chair, clenched tight with concentration as crosses the finish line of Night 2 and sails into Night 3…with predictably terrifying results. The hits just keep on coming and Casey keeps soiling himself as the night shift continues!

Ahoy, Zailors! Captain Chris is back on the Zee, this time headed for land. The Shattered Citadel on Godfall is a maze of dark caverns, and Chris has his foxfire candles prepared for exploration. What secrets do the dark hold? And what lies out in the deep dark beyond Polythreme?

It’s the little things, like sidequests, that really bring out the details of this game world.

Sidenote: there was an update that happened sometime over the last week or so, which I just finished recording and talking about in a video today, which I’ll be posting either tomorrow or Sunday. It’s pretty neat, updates to the menu system, and hopefully some ports along the Zee! Keep your eyes open for more on that.

thecaliforniakings:

The proverbial sh*t strikes the fan as King Casey hits Night 2, and Night 2 hits him right back. There are reasons why this game is already being hailed as scarier than the first, and this video provides the evidence. Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 is on a rampage!

Oh god I couldn’t watch half of this. This is way more tense than the first game, and it’s only getting worse as it goes on.
