Feeling reluctant to take his hands off of Hunter’s sides, Van climbed off the back of the bike and stretched his legs a little, smiling sheepishly at Hunter.
“It’s been a while since I road on a bike,” Van told him and smiled.
“Yeah, well, I’ve been on it for the last three weeks, pretty much straight. I eat, sleep, and ride. I’m on a bit of R&R now.”
Trying to keep his giddy smile hidden, Van wanted to jump up and down that this god-like creature was in his small town for some R&R. Turning so he faced Jocassee Lake, he leaned on the side of the picnic table. He loved the view from this spot and could usually gaze for hours at the wildlife and rugged terrain, but he was too focused on Hunter to take it all in today.
“So, how long are you in town for, Hunter?” Van whispered.
Doing a little stretch as well, Hunter strutted over to where Van was leaning. He had a loose-legged walk that brought Van’s mind immediately to sex. Looking into his eyes, Van couldn’t help but get lost in their depths again. Time seemed to stand still as Hunter leaned into Van’s space and whispered, “As long as you want me to be,” and kissed the side of his mouth.
Van couldn’t breathe, he couldn’t focus. All he could do was feel, and what he felt stunned him.
The only noise, besides the occasional hawk screeching for his next meal, was Van’s gasp of air as Hunter kissed him again, lightly running his tongue over Van’s lower lip before gently biting it. Van’s arms had a mind of their own as they grabbed onto Hunter’s hips, pulling him closer.
Both were out of breath, and they hadn’t done anything but exchange a few light kisses. Van couldn’t ever remember getting so turned on by just a kiss. This man was so good, yet so bad for his heart. Van could feel himself getting addicted to Hunter’s kisses and craving so much more. He was fucking screwed and he knew it.

Shit, Hunter thought about what Van would taste like the whole ride up the mountain, now he couldn’t get enough. His taste was warm and sunny with a hint of cinnamon. When Van’s hands landed on his hips, pulling him forward, it took all of Hunter’s control not to grab his head and plunder his mouth with his own. But he knew less than nothing about Van, other than he seemed a little on the shy side, and he didn’t want to scare him away. Hunter was more of a rough around the edges, take no shit kind of guy, but being there with Van made him want to take his time and savor. Savor Van’s taste and the way his cock rubbed against his through his jeans. Jesus.
“Kiss me,” Van begged as Hunter again ran his tongue around his mouth, biting not so gently this time at his lips.
Needing no more encouragement, Hunter grabbed the back of Van’s head and slid his tongue roughly into Van’s mouth, enlisting a long groan from the man. Van’s cock, having a mind of its own, rubbed faster against Hunter’s, and his tongue wrestled for domination. Hunter grabbed the hair at the back of Van’s neck, forcing his tongue deeper into his mouth, sliding his tongue in and out, mimicking what he wanted to do next. He couldn’t get enough of his taste, of his essence, his scent. Hunter didn’t get mushy about kissing a guy, but damn it, he felt that kiss to his balls and back and was ready to explode.
The sound of a car pulling onto the gravel had the two reluctantly pulling apart, but not breaking eye contact as the car headed back in the same direction it came from.
“Well, that was…” Van touched his lips and smiled.
“Yeah,” was all Hunter could get out as he adjusted his dick in his tight jeans. He couldn’t understand his need to hold on to this moment. He wanted to grab hold of Van and never let go.

Happy Thanksgiving!
Hello readers,
Just a quick note to wish you all a very Happy Thanksgiving to all who celebrate it! I hope you are able to spend this day with friends and family. My thoughts are also with everyone who has lost someone special or who is unable to be with their loved ones today.
Although I’m not much in favor of the historical reasons behind this holiday, I do view it as a special time to remember all the reasons we are thankful. For me, I’m very thankful for my parents, for my husband and kids, and for the readers and authors who make up the wonderful indie community. You fuel my love of writing and my joy of being alive.

Harry Cooper burst through the door of his room at the Hard Rock Hotel. It closed behind him with a dramatic clang. “Girl, you will not believe—”
Spotting his best friend Melissa Kincaid half-asleep in a pile of pillows on the massive bed they’d had to share to get the special “Getaway to Vegas” deal, he gasped and slapped her boxer-clad ass. “Seriously? We’re in Sin City, and all you can do is sleep?”
“Yeah, yeah,” she muttered, rubbing her butt cheek as she sat up. “Did you get tickets to something good?”
“Yes.” He sucked in a deep breath. “You won’t fucking believe—oh my God.” He waved a hand in front of his face.
Melissa rolled her eyes. “Please tell me this isn’t another Madonna drag-show revival thing. I had enough of that last year.”
Harry scowled indignantly. That show in Portland had been a blast. But no. “This is a million times better.”
“Better than Madonna? Well, in that case…” She rolled her hand in a go-on motion.
Harry sighed. Melissa just wasn’t in the spirit of their holiday. Her boyfriend of two years had broken up with her right after Christmas, announcing that he was going to London to complete his Ph.D. She’d begged him to continue their relationship long distance, but he’d been adamant. This was going to be a new chapter in his life, and one he’d be writing alone. Yeah. Dick, much?
But that was exactly why they’d left soggy Seattle to come to Vegas. To soak up the sun and the booze and forget about the fact that Valentine’s Day had just passed, and they were both hopelessly single.
“Come on, sweetie,” he coaxed. “Try to guess.”
“Okay, okay.” She shifted around on the bed, adjusting her T-shirt, which had slipped off her shoulder. She was just so cute with her big green eyes and auburn, shoulder-length curls. If he weren’t gay, she’d be the girl for him.
She tapped a long nail against her chin. “Celine?”
Barely able to keep from blurting out his secret, he pressed his lips tightly together and shook his head.
“Cirque du Soleil?”
“No, but that would have been awesome.”
“Hmm.” She shoved off the bed and pushed aside the curtain, probably so she could see the show billboards out on the strip. Cheater.
She glanced at him over her shoulder, her eyes wide and hopeful. “Phantom? I’ve always wanted to see that.”
He laughed. “You know Gerard Butler isn’t in the play, right?”
“I can pretend.” She shot him a sassy smile.
“This is better anyway.”
“Nothing is better than Gerry as the Phantom.”
He sashayed across the room and got in her face, grinning like a loon. “This is way better. Guess again.”
Her gaze returned to the strip. When she spotted the sign, he heard the hitch in her breath. She whipped around and grabbed his shoulders. “The Red Hot Chili Peppers?”
“Yes!”
He said it much louder than he’d intended. Okay, he’d shouted, but could you blame him? They were going to see the freaking Red Hot Chili Peppers, and he’d get to hear Flea, the best bassist in the world, live!
“Oh my God. Are you serious? Those tickets have to cost more than our whole trip.”
He shot her a wink. “I may have done some wheeling and dealing with the concierge.”
Her eyes swept over him and narrowed. “Please tell me no sexual favors were exchanged in this transaction.”
Shooting out his hip, he slapped a hand to his chest. “Moi? I’ll have you know, Miss Melissa, I do have other talents.”
Waving her hands in front of her face, she ducked her head. “I really, really don’t want to know.”

Hands on his head, Hollywood paced back and forth between Chad and the neighboring building like a caged lion. “I’m confused. It’s your fault. You and your tight ass. Your tattoos. And don’t get me started on your little twink boyfriend.”
“My boyfriend?” There was no way Chad could follow Hollywood’s leaps of logic.
“Fucking cowboy told me about it. You slept with Blondie. It was that same night with Candy, wasn’t it?”
Chad clenched his jaw. “Sandy.”
“Who the fuck cares?” Hollywood shouted.
“Why are you so upset?” Chad asked. “You’re straight.”
“I don’t know what the fuck I am. You’ve got me watching gay porn. Fantasizing about—” Hollywood gnashed his teeth together and rubbed his face with both hands. The sound of his stubble scraping against his palms had Chad’s heart rate shooting up. Even when he was a mess, Hollywood was hot.
“What do you fantasize about?” Chad couldn’t help asking any more than he could help the rasp in his voice.
Hollywood stopped his pacing, hesitated, then advanced on Chad. Each step slow and deliberate. Chad sucked a breath into suddenly deflated lungs. Oh God. He was so fucking turned on. And what kind of slut did that make him? He didn’t know if Hollywood was going to kiss him or beat the shit out of him. All he knew was that he needed to find out.
With rough movements, Hollywood grasped the sides of Chad’s head. “I can’t think of anything except kissing you. Your lips, are they soft or hard? How would your stubble feel against my skin? What do you taste like? It’s driving me crazy.” He stared into Chad’s eyes. “You are driving me crazy.”
Chad couldn’t believe this was happening, tonight of all nights. He wanted to kiss Hollywood, and so much more. But… “We—we can’t.”
“Why not?” Hollywood got closer so their chests were touching. Chad inhaled the scent of Hollywood’s skin, his soap, that delicious undernote that was his alone, and he shivered. If Hollywood pressed into him anymore, he’d know exactly how much Chad wanted him.
“You’ve had too much to drink. I can’t be an experiment.” His voice broke. He cleared his throat. “I can’t be someone you just brush off as a drunken mistake.”
“I’d never do that to you.” Hollywood slid his fingers into Chad’s hair, the gentle caress almost bringing him to his knees, a position he’d have been happy to assume were the circumstances right.
“You say that now, but what about tomorrow?”
Hollywood’s lips curled into a pout that would have had Chad laughing if it hadn’t been so sexy. “You promised. You said three days. Three days is now.”
Every cell in his body craved more of Hollywood. Still, he shook his head. “No.” They were both stronger than this.
“You can’t make me wait anymore.” Hollywood pressed their foreheads together and leaned his weight into Chad. His erection dug into Chad’s belly.
“Oh God.” Chad moaned and his hands went to Hollywood’s shirt, pulling him in. “I don’t want to wait either.”
