Back on Barnes & Noble!
Entangled returned to Barnes & Noble today.
On sale for the same 99 cent introduction to the series special as Amazon in eBook: http://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/entan...
Also back on Smashwords:
https://www.smashwords.com/books/view...
Working with Smashwords on getting both books onto the iTunes store soon!
Both Entangled and Duplicity are both out in paperback now. Amazon & CreateSpace is carrying them. For some reason only book 2 is showing as available on Book Depository. Still working out the kinks!

In Love with Adrian
Enchantment (Spellbound #3) got off to a promising start only to sputter and stall when I abandoned the book to organize the Spellbound blog tour.
Now I'm back on track and enjoying the journey, though part of me is dragging my heels because once book 3 is finished the series is done and I'm having trouble letting go.
Of all the books in the series, I've been looking forward to #3 the most.
I love Adrian's tragic back story. I've never cared for prologues, but I made an exception here because I think it's more powerful to see Adrian the boy and experience his tragedy with him rather than in reference.
Adrian isn't as easily domesticated as Raj, which makes him even more fun to write. I love both warlocks for different reasons, but I find myself experiencing an attraction for Adrian that I'm not entirely sure is healthy. Oh yes,
I dream about him at night.
Fictional crushes never hurt anyone, am I right?

What to get Dad?
For those of you running late...
This year's bestselling true crime adventure makes the perfect Father's Day gift.
The Barefoot Bandit is one wild, action-packed adventure that is as hilarious as it is break breaking. Colton Harris-Moore is without a doubt the most extraordinary teen bandit of our time.
BONUS: I was Bob's research assistant and a large chunk of the book takes place in the beautiful San Juan Islands (WA) where we live.
Bob is one of the most entertaining guys I've ever met. I'm so happy I got the opportunity to work with him and make a lifelong friend. He took time out of his tour schedule - interviews with NPR and Fox - to make suggestions on each and every one of my Spellbound Trilogy covers. They would not have come out the way they did if not for Bob's input.
Seriously, GREAT GUY!
Bob is currently giving away three hardbacks at Goodreads now through June 18 if you want to try and win a copy for yourself.

Entangled Updated Version
Most up-to-date version as of June, 3, 2012.
Entangled was never intended to include profanity. I've weeded out everything except for a scene in which Gray, in the guise of Charlene, is joking around with her sister's snotty friend Brittany. The B bombs or whatever you want to call them stay there. That dialogue sounded ridiculous when I tried changing it to "jerk."
Another term that was brought to my attention is slut. I wasn't even aware of using it and had to do a find on the manuscript. Sure enough, there were 6 instances in the text. (One stayed.)
Personally, I'm not fond of the word and would rather say "miniskirt" than "slutty skirt" as I did twice (and now changed). Why does a short skirt need to be slutty?
There's one passage I changed, which I think is actually funnier now. I'll share it on my blog soon with more discussion on this as I think it's an interesting topic.
Also, in a much early version of Entangled that was changed sometime in March, there was a scene where Raj sees Charlene giving Blake a BJ inside his car in the school parking lot. This was changed to the couple making out. Enough people were disturbed by that scene that I tweaked it.
Maybe I need to go back to writing adult romance. LOL!
I am always open to feedback. When readers take the time to bring up questions or concerns, I take the time to listen.
That said (and I mentioned this in an email to the reviewer I was having the slut discussion with) I write for the joy of it and I will not allow people to rob me of that pleasure every time someone takes offense.
If making a change makes sense, I am happy to consider it.
I have updated my goodreads blurbs to include: "This book is intended for older teens." And will do the same on amazon and B&N.
I am also considering changing NetFlix and Kindle to TV and eReader in DUPLICITY after seeing it caused annoyance with a reviewer on goodreads.
I use these terms like I would Kleenex. Didn't even notice, but I'd sooner use something universal.
Now back to working on book three where there are no sluts, no bitches, and no Kindle devices - just good old fashioned magic and romance. ;)
