My readers have brought Amazon to its knees
So my book WRECKED was in the middle of a free giveaway promotion thingy, over a thousand copies went out the door in a few hours, and then POOF! All the prices dropped off the entire Amazon worldwide site.
No prices anywhere. None. Nada. No prices for books, shoes, pens, toy helicopters, nothin'. It's all over folks.
I hope you're happy with yourselves. :0)
xoxo Elle
P.S. I'm pretty sure they'll fix it soon. Just think of the gajillion dollars they're not making right now with all those BUY buttons missing.

Win a FREE copy of The Changelings for yourself or a friend
I'm running some giveaways through some book blogs. All you have to do is go to the blog sites and register to win a free Kindle copy of War of the Fae: The Changelings. Here is one of the blogs, but there are many more! Just scroll down to the bottom of this page and click on any of the book blog buttons that are down there – it will take you to the site and the post with the giveaway details (not all of them have one, but many do). Hey, this is also a great way to find some great book bloggers and comment on their posts. They love fellow readers.
If you already own The Changelings, you can use the certificate to buy a different War of the Fae book! Or you can give the gift to someone you think might like it.
Enter as many of the contests as you want!
And don't forget – WRECKED is free for 2 days on Amazon.com. Go download a copy if you haven't already. Share the news!

Spread the love, help an indie!
I've been receiving some really lovely emails and blog posts from readers, all of them complimentary and several mentioning that they were telling their friends about my books in an effort to get the word out about my work. It just blows my mind how generous people are and how I've managed to connect with perfect strangers in a way that makes us feel like we kinda even know each other a bit. Friends through books … I love it!
I read this article written by former indie author Karen McQuestion recently, and I thought, "What a great way to help out indie writers." I'm one of those, and there are many more like me (one of my faves: Samantha Young). So if any of you readers out there want to know how you can help out an indie writer, here is a great article with some simple things you can do to help us spread the word about our work. The more people reading indie books, the more time we can spend writing them. :0)

We have a winner! And another giveaway because I'm so excited!
Okay, so Karen jumped on the giveaway for My Vampire Summer and put a review on Amazon today, its first day of availability. So per the earlier post of mine, she gets a free copy of War of the Fae: Darkness & Light when it comes out at the end of the month. Yay! *many hands clapping*
I was so excited to see someone buy my first novella and share her thoughts with me (and lovely thoughts they were), I decided to extend the giveaway just a smidgen. So the next 4 readers who review the book on Amazon (an honest review please! no minimum star requirement!) will also get the same giveaway, 1 free Kindle copy of War of the Fae: Book 3, Darkness & Light.
May the odds be ever in your favor. (I shudder just reading that! – ala Hunger Games if you are one of the two people on this planet who have not yet read the books).

Ever heard of a Google Alert?
My husband showed me this thing Google has in its portfolio (that portfolio you just know is titled "World Domination"). I thought you might like to use it to follow authors you like or other things.
You just put in the search term you like (my loyal husband put in "Elle Casey" – yay, husband!), the frequency of updates you want, and a couple other parameters, and then click "Create Alert". Once a day (or more often if you want), you'll be emailed links to Google search engine collections based on your search terms.
Here's the link if you want to make one: http://www.google.com/alerts
Here's a screen shot of the email he received after signing up for the alert:

My Vampire Summer on Amazon + Giveaway!
[image error]My editors and I have finished My Vampire Summer and published it to Amazon.com as of today! I hope you all love it. I had a ball writing it. It's based on a town I know very well, and nearly everything in the book is true. I'll let you figure out which parts are fantasy…
There is a 12-hour wait while Amazon does its thing. So check Amazon.com tonight and you should see it there. *First person to leave me a review for My Vampire Summer on Amazon.com gets a free copy of War of the Fae: Book 3, Darkness & Light! Just email me your address and I'll send it over when the book is published on March 31, 2012. (*Kindle ebook, gift download from Amazon.com).

Writing updates! Weeee!
Hello readers. First, a shout out and a thanks to all of you who have sent me emails and messages, and who have left posts and done reviews for my books on Amazon.com and Goodreads.com and your book blogs. I appreciate every last one of 'em! Please, keep them coming. When you leave great feedback it draws more readers in and makes it possible for me to keep writing. The inspiration is phenomenal!
And now, on to the updates:
War of the Fae: Book 3, Darkness & Light will be published by March 31, 2012. My editors are working diligently to get their work done so I can finish mine and get the book out to you. Yay!
My Vampire Summer is being put into editing this week. I had originally planned to publish it on April 20th, but now it looks like it could happen sooner. So tentative publish date is April 2nd (only because I don't want to jinx the novella by launching on April 1st!) There's a small chance it could happen sooner than that, so check back on the site here or Twitter or Facebook for updates.
Also, it's not a definite, but there's some talk about a sequel (or sequels, I should say) to this novella, titled My Vampire Fall, My Vampire Winter, and My Vampire Spring. We'll see!
War of the Fae: Book 4, New World Order is now in draft one status, not finished yet, but I expect the first draft to be done in about 3-4 weeks.
New Follow-on Series to War of the Fae!
Yes, you read that right. I will be launching a new series, tentatively scheduled to be launched in September 2012 that is a follow-on to the War of the Fae 4-book series. [insert old-school cabbage patch dance here] This new series is called … (drum roll please) …
CLASH OF THE OTHERWORLDS
BOOK 1, [WORKING] TITLE: After the Fall
I don't know if it will be a 3-book or 4-book series yet. I'll talk to the characters and let them tell me what they think.
xoxo Elle

My Vampire Summer … Coming soon to a Kindle near you!
[image error]Check out my latest project, My Vampire Summer. I finished this up in between War of the Fae series books, just to get some distance in my head before tackling the last book, War of the Fae: New World Order. My Vampire Summer will be published on April 20, 2011 (or sooner!).

War of the Fae: Book 3 (Darkness & Light) update
I received a very panicked email from a reader/fan today that has me in a panic myself. She said that one of the War of the Fae books that she bought said that Book 3 was supposed to be published last year. THIS IS NOT CORRECT!
I must have put in 2011 instead of 2012 in the book somewhere by accident. So I just want to clarify that the publish date for Book 3 is March 31, 2012
War of the Fae, Darkness & Light: Anticipated publish date March 31, 2012
