Nanea is from 1941, living in Hawaii at the time of the Pearl Harbor attack. My favourite character as a kid was Molly, also from the 40s, but living in Illinois. It was interesting to see the similarities and differences between the characters because of their locations, but that was about all I enjoyed about this book.
