When I Finally Laid Them All Down



"God is just waiting for us to throw our hands up and say, "God I'm DONE , the battle is Yours!"  No one understands the difficulty of that better than I do.



When I prayed and believed for my mom's healing, but continued to watch her deteriorate before my very eyes, I WANTED TO GIVE UP.   When I couldn't "FIX" her, and had to accept the reality of the situation that no matter how hard I was fighing she was still going to die, I WANTED TO GIVE UP .  When my Caregiving days turned into weeks, that turned into months, that turned into 9 1/2 years, I WANTED TO GIVE UP.  



One day there came a moment in time when I finally said, "God, this is SO much bigger than me.  I WANT TO GIVE UP!  I CAN'T change this and I CAN'T fix this and I CAN'T stand to live like this any longer or I will surely die myself."  It was then, and ONLY THEN , that I finally laid it ALL down at the feet of Jesus and told Him I didn't know how everything was going to turn out, I didn't know what condition I would be in at the end of my journey, but I KNEW that He did and that's ALL I had the strength to hold on to.  I had to accept the fact that I couldn't carry my burdens any longer and still be able to take care of my mom and try to maintain my family.  I HAD TO LAY MY BURDENS DOWN!  It didn't change the fact my mom was dying, but it turned my focus on to what I COULD do and took it off of what I COULDN'T do.  I ABSOLUTELY learned to Praise Him BEFORE, DURING , and AFTER the Storm and I learned that the Rainbow ALWAYS comes at the END of the Storm!

You can only see and feel the

"EVIDENCE" of the wind.

It's the same with God."     ~tf

If EVERYONE would just say IT'S NOT OK,

bullying would STOP.



When someone is being bullied, all it would

take to STOP the bully would be for EVERYONE

that's around to STAND UP and shout out,

"IT'S NOT OK, IT'S NOT OK."



How empowering that would be for the person

being bullied to hear EVERYONE shouting that out.



How intimidating it would be for the bully to

hear EVERYONE shouting that out.

 

We can STOP bullying ONE person at

a time.  We MUST STOP BULLYING. 



STAND UP for those being bullied.  It's

the RIGHT thing to do.
