I have put together a small collection of tutorials on finishing the ends of 4 different types of materials: round leather cord, waxed linen cording, flat leather lace, and silk ribbon. Each time of material will include 3 different ways to finish the ends, to accommodate a clasp or other materials or components. I am including written instructions for each tutorial, but will ALSO provide a link to coordinating video tutorials.
All videos are available at Vimeo.com (you do not need an account to view them!) and each one is password protected. After you find the password in this PDF, you’ll be able to click the link and be redirected to each coordinating video tutorial where you’ll insert the password and view them.
For each material, I will also share some of my favorite suppliers to help you in your quest to obtain some of these materials in the future for your own designs.There are no finished jewelry tutorials in this PDF, but these technique tutorials should give you an idea of how simple they are to use in your own designs! This PDF is full of basic fundamentals to help you use fiber in your designs. I hope you enjoy them!

New Toggles
A friend of ours gave a few of these small tin plates to Joe to give to me knowing that I work a lot with vintage tins.I just love the vivid colors and the whimsical nature of these cats- from a 1930's cartoon called KRAZY KATS.

Pretty Palettes: November 2017 REVEAL!
I never had a chance to get a blog post up to show off the beads that Molly sent me from Halcraft for the November design challenge! Sorry about that! Thanksgiving was last week and things have been crazy. So this post will be the inspiration share AND the reveal! WHAT!?
You give me anything teal and I'm a happy camper. It's one of my most favorite colors so when this inspiration photo was posted, I was intrigued and absolutely SMITTEN with the beads that went along with it. They are perfect! That champagne color with the swirling glass rounds, and those big wooden focals - OMG. Amazing.

It's perfect because the diameter of that bead matches perfectly to the diameter of the wood discs.
My other favorite thing about those wood discs, is the cut outs- Makes it perfect to use as a link and the donut holes were begging for embellishments!
The metal flower coins and the clasp were made using brand new components from the Tierra Cast Soulful Spirit line of findings!
