New Etsy Listings

All of these new pieces are available in my ETSY shop.

Back at it this Monday.

Working my tail off lately to very few sales. It's discouraging to say the least and I'm not one to give up easily.... but I haven't worked this hard in the 11 years I've been making jewelry.  I will not give up but I think I need to either find a new target audience or some other social media to get away from the saturated social media venues that I'm currently in.

Have you thought of any new places to market your jewelry for new customers?  Care to share??

Wallets

I am currently obsessed with making these Double Zip wallets from Anna Graham's book, Handmade Style. It's a fun pattern but mostly because it almost feels like a magic trick the way it's constructed. Ugh I love it and it's a perfect project for a couple of coordinating fat quarters.

This fabric is a definitely favorite. I love it paired with some olive green zippers and interior card slot pockets.

This is available for purchase in my web store.

What I've Been Making

Sewing machine is out and I have been having fun with a new drawstring pattern found on Pinterest, from http://www.handmadiya.com/2016/07/lunch-box-bag.htmlIt's a nice change of pace from the zippered bag I had been making. I love these little appliqués owls - they have been really fun to do as well. This bag is still available in my web store.

Continuing with the theme to try to USE WHAT I HAVE- I dug into the lamp work collection yesterday and put together a nice collection of encased beads, paired with some brass woodland creatures charms for this cute bracelet!

It has been awhile since I've made a true statement necklace. This one above features  lovely Mokume Gane polymer beads from Florida artist, Pam Wynn. I love the colors especially because they go well with so many neutrals- black, white, brown, grey. You could wear this with anything really! Except stripes. I had a striped shirt on yesterday and it gets lost on stripes. (just sayin)

Another statement piece! This one with chain, linked lamp work beads, and gorgeous ceramic discs with my favorite little Owl Barrel by Swoon Dimples.  This one makes my heart SING.And it's available here.

Keeping Busy

I'm just keeping busy- mostly to keep my mind focused on other things besides the nightmare that is going on in the political world.  I know it's wrong to pretend it's not happening but that's what I can muster nowadays. I have settled into quite the regular routine.

I have always been a creature of habit but it gets worse in the Winter.

Its true also when it comes to my work. I tend to look back on my past work many times a day for inspiration and now my collection of current pieces has a very

"familiar"....

look to it.

I seek solace in that though. It is comforting, like a big bowl of chili on a cold day.
