I’m beginning this at work and will mostly likely go through and edit it when I get home. I can’t remember the last time I read and re-read something I wrote, but I’m worried that whatever I put in this text box will not even come close to conveying how I feel.

I imagine that reading something…

Manic Expressive.: Comics

Manic Expressive.: Comics:

My wife wrote this and I found it to be captivating and beautiful. She just has that knack for writing in a confessional mode and damn if it doesn’t draw you in.

I had read them here and there in the past (before I met Kevin), but over the past four years I have grown to love them.

From independents to super heroes, there is truly something out there for everyone. Every time we go to the local comic shop or I post here asking for recommendations we always...

This is an early look at an illustration by the amazing artist Eric Durrance from my story Dig Doug which should be up on martianlit.com soon.

Also, this story and illustration will be part of a small two story Kindle e-book we will be publishing called Declinations into Dust. The small, most likely free or dollar priced book will collect Dig Doug and another story to be announced.

Eric Durrance will have two pieces per story in print, plus the book cover which we will show here once complete....

In 8th grade, my friend John made me memorize all 5 gifts Boo Radley left for Scout in the tree.  I think I only remember a few at this time:  soap doll, pocket knife, coins…and the other 2 are just lost wandering the corridors of my mind somewhere.  Damn this tree is beautiful.

The Many Lives of Yelena Moulin by Julian Darius

I finally finished the multi-week epic storyThe Many Lives of Yelena Moulinby Julian Darius posted up on the upstart Martian Lit.com.  What starts as a seemingly satirical take on the amount of sex in our completely sex saturated society instead becomes a statement on the idea of mistakes and grief.  About who we are when we get bored and what we do to placate ourselves and never face the truth, even if it should be obvious to us.  I am being purposely vague as I don't want to spoil some...
