Lord of the Rings: The Lego Game

Some people go on dates, others spend time at home playing video games with their husbands. Two guesses as to what I am.
OMG I'm in freaking love with LOTR LEGO. OMG OMG OMG.You think I'm kidding? When I first opened the package, I petted it and said "my precious." Seriously.
I bought the game on a whim, knowing the hubby and I didn't have time for it, and that was a mistake. Because now we can't stop. In ONE weekend, we made it through the first round of Fellowship of the Ring and Two Towers and most of Return of the King.
Yes, ONE weekend.
A little scary right?
I love this game.

You know how once you get past The Fellowship of the Ring, you basically follow three different stories as the intertwine?
Well, you do that with the game too. You can choose which story line you want to follow until you have to go back and do something in another story line.
In other words, the hubby and I put off playing Sam and Frodo and Golum until the last moment LOL. Yes, we're that type of couple.
Everything was so cute!
This one does have talking in the game, unlike other LEGO games. But only in the "movie" parts. Everything else is still cute and cuddly, even with the doom and gloom.

Now, I must say, I'm still in love with Legolas. I was when I was 14 when the movie came out, and still am. His LEGO character rocks. They still have his relationship with Gimli that is too funny, plus his bow and arrow. And his ability to jump and take down an elephant.


He rocks. Just saying.

So yes, when I'm not writing, reading, or cleaning, I'm playing LEGO Lord of the Rings with the hubby. Yes, I'm a dork. LOL Just my random thoughts for the day. Now, that I've finished my chapter, I'm off to go play again!

Another look at Enforcer's Redemption

     A crash from the living room brought Bay out of a fitful sleep. She pulled herself to a sitting position, her belly getting in the way. Someone mumbled a curse, and she inhaled their scent.     Adam and Maddox.     A very drunk Adam and a slightly inebriated Maddox.     Oh, goody, just what she needed; a drunken wolf who probably didn’t know she was in his   bed and wanted her nowhere near him. Oh, what fun.     She pulled down the extra-large shirt she wore so it hit her mid-thigh even over her belly and waddled out to the living room, her ankles aching with each step. When she got out to the living room, she shook her head. Maddox had Adam draped over his shoulders and a sheepish expression on his face.     “Sorry, Bay. Didn’t mean to wake you,” Maddox said as he carried a very drunk Enforcer past her and into the bedroom.     “What happened?” It was like déjà vu. The first time she’d seen Adam he’d been drunk, and here he was again. Was this something he did often?     Maddox dropped Adam on the bed and shook his head. “Drank too much.”     “I guessed that, but why?”     Maddox turned to her with so much emotion in his eyes that she almost staggered from the weight of it. All of that couldn’t be just him. How on earth did he live like that as the Omega?     “He’s had a long day,” he said simply, and Bay under her breath.

Lia: Hi, Jagger. Thanks for coming. How are you?Jagger: Hello. I’m well.
Lia: Please share with everyone a little about you.Jagger: *he lifts a brow, but plays along* I’m a death demon in every aspect of the title and an appointed guardian of the Divinities. I can take life, and because my biological mother is a descendant of the Fates, I can give life. I’m loyal to the Goddess Hecate, who adopted my brother and me as children.
Lia: Care to share a little about your childhood?Jagger: *Crosses his arms over his broad chest*  Nope. Nothing to tell.
Lia: All righty. How about the war? Does the fact that you’re a demon cause any internal conflict?Jagger: *he laughs* conflict with who? The other demons, maybe. I, for one, relish in the fact that I’m on the side that gets to kill the bastards. It brings me closer to Khan, the vile creature that ordered my village destroyed many centuries ago.  
Lia: *I smile, thinking of how much he and Khloe have in common* How are things with Khloe?Jagger: *a grin spreads across his sensual lips* She is and will forever be my impulsive elemental witch and shapeshifter.
Lia: How’s she coping with her inner cat?Jagger: She’s incredibly smart and strong. She’s learning to control the shift and the impulsive nature of hers. Plus Kristoff is helping. Although I would like to find a female shifter to aid in Khloe’s training.
Lia: Jealous?Jagger: *narrows his eyes* No.
Lia: *I snicker* What’s your favorite color?Jagger: Teal, the color of Khloe’s eyes
Lia: Boxers or briefs?Jagger:  neither
Lia: Favorite food?Jagger: Chocolate poured over Khloe’s body.

Excerpt: Jagger tossed the Amiddian to the side, stepped away from the overturned van, and froze. Khloe stood on the shoulder of the road about fifteen feet ahead, and watched him. Her pink-streaked blond hair framed her oval face, making her look like a pissed off angel. He took a step forward and felt the presence of another demon. He turned to the new energy to see a horned, blue-skinned demon advancing toward Khloe.Fuck. Where were they coming from?Letting out a low growl, Jagger materialized in front of the demon and grabbed him by the front of his shirt. Holding the hell-spawn off the ground, Jagger let his fangs drop. “What do you want with her?”The demon narrowed his eyes and smirked, but said nothing.Tightening his grip, Jagger gave the demon one more chance. “You can tell me, or I’ll drain the memories from your useless soul.”The idiot laughed and vanished.Fuck! No one should have been able to flash from his hold. He surrounded them with a spell for just that reason. There was only one possibility. Khan had a power source just like Jagger suspected.Fisting his hands to his side, he whirled around to find Khloe gone. Great. Another complication. Scenting the air, he picked up on her chocolate-rose fragrance and rushed into the forest. Several feet into the trees and brush, he found her.She wasn’t alone. A Regal—the imperial guards of Khan and the most powerful demons in the Underworld—stood over her, with his hand gripping her arm.Rage ran in Jagger’s veins, fueling his need to protect her and kill for her.He soon discovered his Khloe was a fireball. She kicked the Regalin the balls, taking the demon to the ground. Turning on her heels, she took off again, but not before he caught the scent of blood.A deep growl ripped from his throat, and he thrust his hand toward the male struggling to stand, hitting him with a ball of fire. Why couldn’t things just happen right the first time? Oh yeah, because she was Lily, and things were never perfect until she checked them over like twenty times. It’s what made her her. Well, at least partially.The other parts of her had to do with the whole brownie thing. Who knew she’d actually enjoy being a paranormal creature of the night?Well, were brownies really creatures of the night? It wasn’t as if there were movies about them stalking their prey. No, she was the obscure species. Too bad Hollywood didn’t make any noise about being a brownie. She thought it was pretty cool, if she did thing so herself.Well, okay, and the whole marrying the love of her life who happened to be a centuries old angel?Totally worth it.Her body warmed at the thought of Shade.Her true half, the groom of the wedding she wasn’t sure was going to happen.Darn it.Why had she even thought she could do all this?Strong arms wrapped around her and she sank into Shade’s hold. He smelled of chocolate and sin and all kinds of goodness.And he was hers.At least in every sense of the word except legally.Why was that piece of paper so important to her? She already had everything she could have wanted with this man, yet she needed to be called his wife…what was wrong with her?Shade kissed her brow and rocked into her. She loved when he was hard for her…which seemed to be often.“What’s making you think so much, my Lily?” he asked as he kissed up her neck and nibbled on her ear.She shivered and sank into him. “I’m not thinking about anything but you at the moment.”He growled and spun her around so he faced her. He’d left his hair down so it brushed his shoulders and framed his face.“You’re lying, my Lily. Is it the wedding? I know you wanted everything to be perfect, but I just want you by my side. That’s all I need.”Lily closed her eyes, unable to show him the shame. “I know that. We’re just having a small wedding. I don’t want any more than that. But I had thought my father…” her voice broke off and she leaned into Shade’s hold, her ear on his chest, his heartbeat calming her.Shade’s hold tightened and he cursed. “I hate the way he’s hurting you. I would take care of him for you, but I don’t think that’s what you want.”She gave a dry laugh, though she knew he wasn’t joking. “No, I don’t want you to take care of him, whatever that means. I just thought he’d be here for the wedding. I wanted him to give me away.”“He’s a fool for ignoring you.”“He told me he had a new family and he didn’t have time to go back to the past. What kind of man says that, Shade?”Even saying the words hurt her. Why did she give a man she hardly knew so much power to cause pain?Shade cupped her face and kissed her softly, his lips softer than she’d even imagined. She wanted to pull him down and let him love her, let him take away the memories, but that wasn’t what she needed.No, she needed to move on.“I’m your family now, my Lily. You’re friends are your family. They’ll take care of you.”“The wedding is tomorrow and I’m freaking out like a beastly bride. I don’t like it, Shade.”Shade kissed her again, smiling this time. “If you weren’t freaking out about something, I’d be worried. I love my OCD bride-to-be.”Her heart warmed and she hugged him again. “I love you to, my angel.”

Shade ran a hand through his hair, wishing he‘d had a drink or something before this. Why was he so nervous? He was a warrior angel; he should have been fine with anything that came his way.Of course, he hadn’t been expecting the bundle of nervous energy that was his Lily. He’d fallen for those big green eyes the moment he’d met her.Damn, he loved her.This was their wedding day, and any moment, his Lily would walk to him and he’d hold his true half in his arms.Though he wished Ambrose could have been there. But alas, the council hadn’t let him come, stating that his best friend was needed up in the angel realm to deal with the aftermath of the betrayal.Ambrose had tried to come anyway and had been punished for it.Shade had wanted to retaliate, but Ambrose had sent a gift and his good wishes, knowing there wasn’t anything else that could have been done. And anyway, Shade hadn’t thought Ambrose would want to be near Jamie since the two of them held a volatile connection that Shade didn’t know what to think of.But that wasn’t here nor there.No, this was his wedding—their wedding. The only people in attendance were Lily’s six girlfriends, each in their own right a family member and held a key into their future.And of course, Dante, the dragon shifter who owned the bar where everything was connected.The damn dragon was even going to give Lily away because her bastard of a father hadn’t wanted to come.But in reality, the fact that Dante was going to do it made perfect sense. Their new family was made of hope and a future, not of blood.What more could they need?The women gasped and Shade looked up.His Lily.She wore a strapless dress that flowed to the floor, tightening in a t the waist and framed her ample breasts. Breasts he’d be able to taste later.But that wasn’t what made her glow.No, she’d come as a brownie. Her skin gold, dusty, and perfect.She smiled, her eyes bright.This was his Lily. His future.He couldn’t wait to make her round with his child.Dante handed Lily to him, and he gave a nod to the dragon with the pierced brow and black hair that fell to the floor with blue streaks.Dante smiled and sat back with the women, careful not to sit next to Nadie.Lily reached for him and his hands shook.This was his Lily. His future.“We come today to join two souls in a state beyond paper, but in a fragile reality where the strength comes from the person within, not the strength of their sword,” the minister, a tiger shifter, began.“I love you,” he mouthed.“I love you too,” she mouthed back.This was his future, their future. Though the lightning that had struck had changed everything, he’d take it again to have her.There was nothing better in the world than this.Their everything.
