FAQs on Books, Releases, Etc
I’ve been getting some questions recently, so I thought I’d put it in a post for you guys.
Q. What is the reading order for Holiday Montana?
A. It’s on my site and on the blurbs and on Goodreads LOL, but here it is again.
Charmed Spirits
Santa’s Executive
Finding Abigail
Her Lucky Love
Dreams of Ivory (Coming July 2013)
Q. I heard there are more Holiday books coming, right?
A. Yes. Five more books in the series are coming surrounding similar and new holidays. Some will be about other Cooper family members, some will be about town residents you’ll meet. These won’t be out until starting in 2016 because I have two eight book series coming out before then. Yes, that’s 16 more books on the writing blog. So yes, you’re getting more Holidays, but you’re also getting more wolves and other shifters.
Q. What is the reading order for the Dante’s Circle series?
A.
Dust of My Wings
Her Warriors’ Three Wishes
An Unlucky Moon (Coming Sept 2013)
Ever After
(more to come)
Q. What is Ever After?
A. This is an anthology I’m doing with a few other authors. My story will be called His Choice. It’s a novella about Fawkes, a young demon you’ve met in Her Warriors’ Three Wishes.
Q. Will His Choice be available on it’s own?
A. I don’t know. Right now, we’re working on making an anthology with books you’d actually want to read. Give me some time LOL.
Q. Will Dante have a book in Dante’s Circle?
A. Yes. Each woman in the Dante’s Circle series will get a book. Meaning that’s 7 full length books (and Fawkes gets a special novella *see above*) Dante’s book will be out in 2014.
Q. Will you be continuing the Redwood Pack series?
A. Yes. Maddox, North, and Cailin will get their books. Maddox’s book, Shattered Emotions, comes out June 18th. And yes, there will be four more novellas in the series.
Q. Will you be writing about the Redwood Pack children?
A. I haven’t said no.
Q. Are you writing more series?
A. Yes. My Keys of Fate series starts in Dec 2013. Fated Tranquility is book 1. I’ll be announcing two more series eventually. We have some time.
Q. I’m an author and I’d like to publish with your publishing company. Can I?
A. Right now Fated Desires Publishing is only accepting submissions from authors we know and trust do to legal reasons. If you’d like to talk to us about it, please email us through the from on the site. http://fateddesires.com/contact-us/

How exciting!
That Worry
I’m a worrier. I know this. I’m not actually surprised by this either. When I decide to write a book, I’m worried the entire time. Yes, there’s that excitement that comes with the initial plotting and start to the book. Then there’s the actual writing of the book where I’m fretting, scared, annoyed, depressed, excited, annoyed again, and depressed again. But I’m always worrying.
I never like the books I’m writing until I’m through edits. Yes, I like it overall and I like the idea, but I usually go through parts where I hate it and then it takes me reading it again and cleaning it up to like it again. A lot of writers go through this so thankfully I’m not alone.
Then there comes time for a book to release. Will my readers like it? Will they even KNOW it’s out to buy it? Will it sell like 5 copies and then never be shown again? Yes, I go through that with each book.
Her Warriors’ Three Wishes is one of my most stressful books so far. I planned my Dante’s Circle series in Jan 2012 and started writing the first book soon after. Dust of My Wings came out in July of 2012 to amazing reviews, though not as many readers as my other series. I mean, it did great, but not as great as my others LOL. Then because of my Holiday Montana series, I had to push Dante’s Circle series back until book 2 was in April 2013. That might not seem like a big gap, but in a reading world where people are constantly barraged with new and shiny books, those months were a long time coming.
Now book 2 is out and people love it (I know the hating will come soon and I’ll be prepared for it as always). Book 3, An Unlucky Moon, will be out in September. Yes, a large gap, but not as many months as before. A special novella about Fawkes will be out in Nov. I know that with each new book in a series, I might gain and lose readers. I just hope that people find this series in the first place LOL.
As for that other worry that came with this book…well…it’s a menage. It’s a menage where a m/m/f relationship occurs. That means Jamie is with Ambrose and Balin…and Balin and Amborse are together as well. I thought about doing a m/f/m relationship when I plotted the series, and I can’t write it. I don’t know how two of my male characters can be in the same relationship without being together. In fact, a lot of the time (like with Reed and Josh in Trinity Bound) the male relationship almost takes center stage and the woman is happy to be with both of them knowing her men love each other.
Some people don’t like menage. They think it’s icky or unrealistic or they think it’s been done too much. I don’t go into writing menage because it’s different or easy, I go into it knowing it’s a legitimate relationship that can happen in my paranormal world.
People don’t like the gay/bi aspect and I’ve lost readers for all my books (including the straight relationships). Honestly, it’s not a political agenda. It’s just what my characters do. I’m sad to lose those readers, but I can’t change their mind.
So yes, I’m a worrier. With each new book I’m always afraid it won’t live up to expectations, but I write anyway. I’m scared to death about Maddox’s story, but honestly, it’s my mind. Maddox and Ellie did what they wanted in this book and I’m happy with it. My beta is happy with it. My editor loves it.
I’m just doing what I do. And worrying while I do it.
So yes, you just got inside the mind of a writer. Scary, isn’t it?

An Excerpt: Her Warriors’ Three Wishes
The demon’s scream was cut short as Ambrose sliced off his head. Its decapitated head stared back at Ambrose, his eyes wide and full of the fear he should have had from the beginning. Though the others in hell couldn’t tell Ambrose was a warrior angel, and thereby thought he must have been just a normal demon, he thought at least the stupid soldier wouldn’t have tried to kill him by himself.
The other man had had a weak technique and even weaker body.
It was no wonder the lowly demon had died so suddenly.
He wiped his blade on the clothes of the dead demon and sheathed it. He’d have to clean it fully when he got back to the other realm. At least, he hoped he could get back. He hadn’t devised a plan in which to do so, but he hoped that Dante’s friend Balin could aid him in that respect.
Ambrose looked out onto the barren wasteland of the hell realm and shook his head. Throughout his years, he’d yet to spend any significant amount of time here. In fact, he’d only been here once before, during the last angel and demon war, a millennia or two ago.
There were no children running in the streets, no laughter or promise filling the empty space.
No, this was a place of death, the place humans fought so hard and with such vehemence not to make it to.
It was just too bad that sometimes the demons brought them, not the humans themselves. That was why, if he could find this Balin, he’d save him along with Jamie. The demon hadn’t taken a soul and was dying for it. Ambrose would find a way to protect the man.
Her Warriors’ Three Wishes Blurb
Humans aren’t as alone as they choose to believe. Every human possesses a trait of supernatural that lays dormant within their genetic make-up. Centuries of diluting and breeding have allowed humans to think they are alone and untouched by magic. But what happens when something changes?
Ambrose Griffin is older than most, if not all, civilizations. As each year passes, he submerses himself into his training, only relaxing around his protégée and friend, Shade. After losing his wife and children in the last Angelic Wars, he guards his heart and has no desire to share it with another.
Bookkeeper and romance novel enthusiast, Jamie Bennett dreams of being swept off her feet by a white knight. However, her life is no romance book. Since meeting Ambrose—a sexy, delicious angel—she’s been twisted inside out and doesn’t know why. Things are happening that she can’t control and now her life is in danger.
Balin Drake is stuck in hell, literally. His life of refusing to take souls, even though it’s part of his demon nature, has caught up with him. He’s dying and now must search for his true half, but even a mating may not save him. When he meets the two people who could fill that part, he’ll need to fight for something he hasn’t felt in over a century—hope.
Warning: Contains a rigid angel who needs a certain sexy woman to help him unwind, a book keeper who finds herself the creamy center of the best cookie ever, and a demon who has a certain taste for pressing them both against walls.

I just wanted to send a quick email to let you know that Her Lucky Love is only $0.99 for the weekend! If you haven’t had a chance to read this story in the bestselling series, here’s your chance!
Brayden Cooper has always been lucky. It’s in his blood and in the coin that he has hanging on a leather tie around his neck. He has everything in the world he could ever want: money, a job, brothers he loves, and the luck that comes with his powers. Yet he’s empty. Everyone but him knows he loves Allison, yet it’s going to take something stronger than luck to bring them together.
Allison Malone is exhausted. After the death of her abusive husband, her hell of a marriage is finally over and now she’s alone with her three children that are the center of her world. Long hours at work, plus mommy duty at home are taking its toll on her and that’s not the worst of it. Her late husband’s family is in town and they want her children.
The outsiders have secrets of their own and it’s going to take all of the Coopers, especially Brayden’s, help to save them. When trouble attacks, Allison will have to remember that she’s also a woman who needs love, and Brayden might be the one to give that to her.
Warning: Contains one sexy mechanic with a lucky streak, a waitress who needs to give into her temptations, and a love so fierce it’s bound to set the sheets on fire. Again.

After Eli’s mother died, his father honored her life’s mission as a social worker by taking in several kids from the wrong side of the tracks. Not all of them stuck, but those who did became Eli’s quasi family.
Their bonds, forged in fires set by their personal demons, are unbreakable—or so Eli wants to believe. Especially since he and Alanso, his best friend and head mechanic, witnessed the overpowering allure of polyamory while visiting the Powertools crew.
Much as Eli would like to deepen the relationships among his foster brothers and sister in the Hot Rods Restoration Team, he’s hesitant to risk everything on a quick romp behind a stack of tires.
But when Eli catches Alanso exploring their mutual fantasy at a known hookup spot in a public park, all bets are off. And Eli must decide if it’s time to jump in full throttle—and trust his instincts to guide him through the night. If the pair of mechanics can dodge the potholes in their own relationship, maybe they can race together toward the unconventional arrangement with Mustang Sally they both desire.
Warning: Fasten your seatbelts, this is going to be a wild (and naughty) ride!

Quote of the Day 6: Her Warriors’ Three Wishes
To lead up to the release of HER WARRIORS’ THREE WISHES, I’ll be showing off one or two sentences a day (or so) until April 23rd! Are you ready for Balin, Ambrose and Jamie?
Ambrose held back the war cry of anguish that threatened to break free of his throat.
