The Uninvited debuts six months from today! This afternoon I opened my front door and happily found a box of advance reading copies sitting on my porch. A little peek . . .

If you'd like a chance to win one of the advance copies, head to Goodreads between now and March 6. My publisher, William Morrow, is giving away twenty copies (U.S. entries only).

If you are a book reviewer, bookseller, librarian, or someone else who typically receives ARCs, you can request a digital copy at Edelweiss , or re...

THE CURE FOR DREAMING Named to the 2015 Amelia Bloomer Project List

The Cure for Dreaming was named to the American Library Association's 2015 Amelia Bloomer Project list , which is described as "recommended feminist literature for birth through 18." Sending an unabashedly feminist novel into the world has, admittedly, felt riskier than even releasing a book involving the subjects of patriotism, war, and the search for life after death. The word "feminism" alone continues to evoke strong reactions. Some people get ticked off at The Cure for Dreaming. Other rea...

VOYA Interview

I had the honor of being interviewed for VOYA Magazine's "Wouldn't You Like to Know . . ." series, and my feature is now live at voyamagazine.com . Past interviewees include such heavyweights in the YA field as John Green, Libba Bray, Cassandra Clare, and Ruta Sepetys. To say the least, I'm humbled and thrilled that VOYA asked me to participate.

You can find all of the "Wouldn't You Like to Know . . ." interviews at voyamagazine.com/topics/author-interviews.

Good news! Penguin has now released the synopsis and the full list of authors for the August 2015 YA horror anthology, Slasher Girls and Monster Boys . Without further ado, the synopsis . . .

Thank You, Readers!

As 2014 comes to a close, I want to thank everyone who has read and embraced my books. This past year started off with an amazing bang when I got to celebrate In the Shadow of Blackbirds at the Morris Award ceremony in Philadelphia, and now it ends with a second book published and two more novels and an anthology short story slated for publication in 2015 and 2016.

I'm grateful to everyone in the publishing industry who is helping me to bring these books to life, especially my agent, Barbara P...

ARC Requests for THE UNINVITED

I've already received a few requests for info about how to be put on the list for advance reading copies of my 2015 novel, The Uninvited . This morning I talked with my HarperCollins publicist, and she said that all such requests should be emailed to her.

So, if you're a bookseller, librarian, reviewer, etc.—someone who typically receives ARCs—please send your request to Lauren Jackson at HarperCollins.

ARCs are not yet available, but the list of recipients is in the works.

Advance Praise for THE UNINVITED

Even though my newest release, The Cure for Dreaming , hasn't been out for two months yet, I'm already busily making preparations for my 2015 releases, including my big adult fiction debut, The Uninvited , coming August 11, 2015, from HarperCollins .

I'm extremely excited to announce that two bestselling authors, Wendy Webb and Michelle Gable , have blurbed The Uninvited.

Here is their generous advance praise of the novel:

“Part ghost story, part love story, part historical fiction, this tale set i...
