My partner got me the best gift in the world for Christmas this year. An ancestry.com DNA kit to discover my ancestors. Along with all the research and travel my mother, father, cousins, and other relatives have done over the years, I'm finally going to be able to connect myself to the world.

The Drop Pot Man by K Saunders

There are shepherds and Romanys, who speak in strange tongues; a Lord Byron lookalike army captain and a lethal killer who just might be an ETA trained hit-man. The strange lowland heath...

The Essential Family Guide to Caring for Older People by Deborah Stone

www.maturethinking.co.uk

No one wants to think about getting older. It's true. At any age, when things are moving along normally day to day and everyone seems fit and well, there seems no reason to think about future problems that your friends and relatives might (and probably will) come across as they age. Restructuring

I'm surprised at how much restructuring I'm having to do with my current writing project. Maybe it's because I've given the thing too long of a title. I don't know, but this story is wackadoodle.

It's another teen sci-fi. I'm really loving this genre! Ever since writing Superstellar. But yeah, I think I should never think up titles before I finish writing the entire book. It just throws me off and I end up having to delete chapters and start over from where I left off. I've won NaNo already,...

Creativity Pack

I have a creativity pack to take around with me to places like libraries and such. So my girls have one each too. In my pack  is my MacBook Pro for novel writing, a lined notebook for writing by hand, a blank page sketchbook for art, pencils, paint pens, my phone, plugs and cords.

My 12 year old daughter's creativity pack is basically the same as mine. My 5 year old daughter's creativity pack is adjusted for her age. A blank page notebook for drawing, her kid's tablet, a lined...
