The Great Author Hunt – T minus 31 days
The Great Author Hunt at RT2014 starts in ONLY 31 days! I’ve had some questions about the game, so here are some answers:
1. Do I have to be in New Orleans at RT2014 to play?
YES. This game starts and ends during RT.
2. How do I play?
When RT attendees pick up their badges, there will be a Great Author Hunt Player Card in your packet. The participating authors are listed on the player card. Also, you will find a small button that reads “I’m Playing The Great Author Hunt” on your card. Put that on your name badge. Then look for the authors wearing a big GREAT AUTHOR HUNT button. Ask them for a sticker for your card. Once you have a minimum of 25 author stickers, complete the information on the back and put the entry card in the Great Author Hunt Entry Box located in Club RT.
NOTE: DELILAH DEVLIN WILL NOT BE AT RT, SO YOU WILL BE UNABLE TO GET A STICKER FROM HER.
3. When does the game start?
Registration opens at Noon on Wednesday, May 14. As soon as you have Player’s Card, you can begin playing.
4. When does the game end?
The game ends at 4:00 pm on Friday, May 16 when Club RT closes. The entry box will be removed from the room at that time so there will be no more entries.
5. When will winners be chosen?
Winners will be drawn Saturday Morning.
6. How will winners be notified?
On the back of the player card, you have to complete the name, email and phone number. Winners will be notified on Saturday and prizes given AT RT.
7. What can I win?
iPad mini, Kindle Fire HD 8.9” or Kindle Fire HD 7”
8. What authors will I be looking for and how will I find them?
First – look for their Great Author Hunt Button on their badge. It looks like this
Second – Some of them will be coming by here leaving their RT schedules so you can find them.
